In apartment #1, you pay a premium for that huge deck, but it lacks the room size, second bathroom and in-unit laundry of #2. Apartment #3 is set up for near-luxury living for a family with a maid or a mother-in-law who does the cooking, but at a price. My preference would be #2, which could easily be shared. I lived in a 100sf apartment on top of a building on the upper east side (for $200/month with heat, hot water and electricity included!), the bathroom was in the hallway but I was the only one up there so it was mine, it was super quiet, the 2 windows were huge and I had the rest of the roof as a large terrace. Lots of sun and a kick ass view. I built a loft bed which gave more room on the floor level. It was actually on top of a luxury building with doorman, etc, half a block from central park and in an incredible neighborhood. It had everything that a larger apartment would have, only smaller. The building allowed pets so I even had my cat there. It was crazy. I got the arrangement from a friend after an emergency of getting out of a domestic violence situation, and it was my little slice of peace and recovery. I actually loved that place and miss it sometimes.😅

It was right aside of Parson’s School of Design housing that was its own garden with trees. In the summer you could see fireflies. Vegetation was so thick you couldn’t see through it. I loved laying on that hammock or having dinner outside knowing I was one of a few out of 10 million people who could sit outside in their own private space. I love, love, love! the older classic apartments. The last one is the best, just because of the size. I like how they updated it. However, I wish they left a little more character in it. in my books, NEVER paint good old wood. Some of that trim, and ceiling details, would have added more warmth. But still a type of NY apartment I would absolutely enjoy!

Love the pre-war apartment and the roof top apartment. BTW, you should also mention if pets are allowed in any of the apartments. I am not familiar with NY so I don't know if it is normal for people to have pets when renting.

At those prices you should be able to have your pet's. 😊

Not sure if I'd have a dog in NY unless I had a balcony to set out one of those artificial grass patches that collects waste underneath. It's really the only way a dog can do its business. Otherwise it's a long trip to get to the ground floor and there's literally nowhere for them to go.

Hilarious! I lived in NYC in the 60"s when rents were in the hundreds for a studio with a view of a brick wall. all buildings were "prewar" & the layout was equally quirky as these gems. Your apt tours made me laugh so hard and remember how weird NY apts can be no matter how high the rent..

Love the building, and that last apartment. The closets alone make it an outstanding place. The 3D fridge does belong in this apartment. There are so many ways to be creative with the non-working fireplace. This is the first apartment I've seen that has its own laundry room, not two machines stuffed into a bathroom. For people who can afford it, it's a great place.

New York/Manhattan is very cool. I’ve been all over, many times, and liked everything. There, you have to pay to play! But, for $6,200 or $7,000 per month, you could own a 3 million dollar house, here in Florida 😳

Yo Cash. You are probably the best person to ask. First. Smart move to show the area surrounding the apartment In the videos as well. On another note, often videos show how most of the stores are closed and whole areas kinda not worth while. Could you make videos presenting current nyc, the streets, the restaurants and such. Would be really nice to see

The penthouse apartment has a fantastic terrace. But the last apartment is the winner. You can decorate all you want in the huge living area. The building is definitely pre-war because it is illegal now to have a bedroom access only through the kitchen. It's a fire safety issue. But you can make it an office or library room.

Charles never disappoint! All 3 are great places. I saw the short on the 3rd & couldn't wait to see the whole thing. Cash is right tho. I think the refrigerator in the 2nd apartment really belongs in the 3rd. But what is that appliance right next to what I'm assuming is the washer? I've never seen that b4. & I love how they've hidden the gas meters in cabinets.
