As a Brit who has not travelled to the US (yet), I do love these posts as I get to see so much of America as it is, rather than in movies. Thank you. Hello hello, I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your video. You do a really fine job with the video. Your editing is done well. I am a beginner in photography, and found I leaning toward more video. I am a 72 year old great grandmother. I doubt I will be camping in my Honda HRV. Years ago and do mean years, my husband and my daughter used to go on many camping trips. I am delighted to see the many improvements in the equipment. For now my road trips will include Holiday Inn LOL. Oh by the way, coming through Illinois and Missouri at this time, we were having a fall heat wave, we were miserable. They even kept the condo pool open longer. Well come to the midwest. Can't wait to see the rest of your videos. All the best Travel lady

That tunnel is right on i-64 just before you get to the city of Louisville where I live. I live in the historic section of the city known as "Old Louisville". We live in a brick Italianate home that was built in 1890. I travel that road several times each week. So good to see you visiting our city and state. We have some of the best hiking you will ever experience in the Daniel Boone National Forest. The Red River Gorge is an absolutely beautiful place to hike and camp. I hope you two can visit us and plan a trip here some day!

So amazing you are hiking at The Lost Creek. My son just moved back to Michigan, after he has graduated, from college there. Loved all the Hikes there too. Every weekend 10 to 15 mile hikes 10,000-14,000 ft. I know what you mean on hard to catch your breath, at high elevations. I love your Transit Van, the great stops along the way. Many years ago my daughter and I had Stephen Foster State Park on the Suwanee River in North Florida all to our selves. It is so nice when it happens and that is a beautiful park on the river. We fished, camped and had a great time. Enjoy your trip and as always be safe!

If you're taking 285 through Park County to Lost Creek, stop close to the bottom of Crow Hill after Conifer, take the first right in Bailey for the best lunch in town at the Cutthroat Cafe and don't miss the Sasquatsh Outpost next door!

Luke and Suzie, I always wanted to do some of those hiking trips. The close I have ever got to it is the Blue Angel trail south rim of the Grand canyon. I went about a 1/4 mile down. That was back in 1991. Now all I can do is watch you kids.

When Suzie saw the Bald Eagle it reminded me of visiting a rapture center where they have every bird of prey in enclosures like a zoo. All the birds had been injured on the side of the highway. The tour guide told us that if we throw fruit out the window, it attracts rodents which in turn attracts the Eagles, Hawks, Owls. etc. and they get struck by cars and trucks. Always thought it was harmless tossing an apple core to the side of the road? Guess not.

I love that you get to experience Colorado. The weather here is different from most other places I have been. The rain usually doesn't last long. I hope you had a great trip and experience here, you'd be welcome to stay, but usually, I thank folks for leaving after their stay. Traffic on I-70 through Denver is but one example of why I say that. Love your videos! Thanks for sharing your experience.

Wow, it was Susan for once. What a cool dude Luke is. Lucky to swoop on Suzie when you guys were both young. It's perfect. The kids are raised and you are rocking it. Who choses that music? The Skeeter Beater, you can make your own for just a couple dollars, buy new or used sheer curtains, sew light weight weed eater line around it, leaving a large enough hem to put in magnets. Easy peasy.

My cars have had names. The best one was, "The Pig." It was a Mazdaspeed6. It was big, heavy and sucked down gas. My first car was nicknamed, "The Duece" after an old Sinbad skit. It was a 79 El Camino. That car was a dang tank and epitomised that skit so well.

Glad you like the new van. I was at the Dearborn Proving Grounds in 2014 when they was testing the prototype for the Full sized Transit vans. Lots of R&D went into getting that van to where it is today. I got to be a guinea pig for the cold weather testing. Was sitting in the van when they did a performance test down to -60 degrees Fahrenheit. Van still ran without mechanical issues. I never wanna be that cold again.

When you stopped for lunch the first day in Kentucky I thought I knew exactly where you were at. When you started back on the road and I heard the gps directions, it confirmed my thoughts. If you ever get a chance to be around there again, I believe you'd love the hiking in the Red River Gorge / Clifty Wilderness area in the Daniel Boone National Forest. I highly recommend it!

That rest area in slade ky around 9:20 was the red river gorge and natural bridge exit. You should have went into the gorge such an amazing place. Awesome hiking beautiful views. Love the videos Luke and Susie .

I grew up about two blocks from the tunnels on I64 in Louisville Ky..in fact as kids my brother and I possibly were the first to walk thru it while it was being built (yes we snuck in)...before that it was known as Cochran hill..one of Louisville best sledding hills years ago, its steep as hell and also part of Cherokee park.. we spent many a day exploring the heavily forested park as kids!

The shot of the Ohio river with the dam near downtown Louisville is the "Falls of the Ohio river".. has the be the best fishery within 500 miles, I've seen Beaver, River Otters, and caught massive amounts of fish below the dam and around the limestone fossil beds that made the Falls of the Ohio!

We stayed at Beall Woods last night and the only way you can camp there for free is if you camp on a week night, your over 62 and you are an Illinois resident. Otherwise it's $8 a night. I guess you must have left before the attendant came around. It is a really awesome camp though. It reminds me of the one at Cave In Rock Illinois on the Ohio river. Quiet, scenic, and we'll maintained.

Well worth the wait, guys. This video was perfect. No one else could have pulled this off. This was literally a 'long drive' and you turned it into a 'ride along'. Great shots of the country mixed in with anecdotes and updates makes the viewer feel like part of the team. The clips of the drive showing random stuff from interesting angles were captivating to say the least. I couldn't stop watching because I never knew what was gonna pop up next. The billboards, the scenery, that shot off the hubcap! All pretty cool. And the music? Whoa. The music you chose was fantastic. I'd say your best soundtrack yet. I had to shazam the songs so I could find and download them. They were THAT good and really suited the visuals. I dont know how many hours you spent editing, but that time paid off tenfold. Looking forward to part two. Hopefully, you can throw'em together and make the full movie for us. A music playlist would be a nice add on. And The addition of the gear list did not go unnoticed. Thank you for doing that for us. It's much appreciated. Cant wait for part two!

Totally agree on driving through Kentucky versus Tennessee. We just drove most of the length of Tennessee this summer. No bueno. Tennessee is a zoo and the roads seem to be under constant maintenance work. I also think Kentucky is prettier overall but the Smoky Mountains are hard to beat…. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us and providing unbiased feedback on new products. I wish other channels were as frankly honest as you are.

You need to outfit the van with all the goodies, electric cooler, Jackery, popup shower and battery op shower hose, USB tower fans, etc.

Susie, Luke👍👍 Okay, part one is over and the exciting part of getting there is done. As much fun as it is to watch you guys enduring the joys of Interstate driving, I'm glad you're there safe. Now for the meat of the trip! Nice ride, rad color too. Part two should be a hoot, it might even surprise me but not as much as you! Enjoy.
