It is best to live in Russia, and work remotely (online) in some international company. In this case, you get a good payment for your work, and at the same time pay for all services, food, housing, transportation, for educating children ... in short, for ALL you pay 10 times less than in the United States or Europe. For a very modest salary by American standards, for example, $ 1,000 a month, you will live in Russia very well off. In addition, Russia has very low taxes - 13%. As for the weather, do not forget that Russia is the largest country in the world. On its territory you can find places with almost any climate. And if you don’t like the cold winter, you can choose Rostov Region, Krasnodar Region or Stavropol Territory as your place of residence, and the same Crimea, after all - there are generally subtropics there. Although personally I can’t live without a winter. What Christmas without good frost and snow ?! Deers cannot drag sleds on asphalt. How will Santa come to you ?! It's just ridiculous! But I'm Russian ... :)))
Yep, Russia is not that bad as many people think of it. Of course most rural places and small towns look depressive and 3rd worldish but you can still find nice places and enjoy pretty much everything they have in America as a customer. When I was a teenager moving to America was a thing for me but as I grew up I realized there are pros and cons everywhere now I got 2nd citizenship and European residence permit so I can have some options if my country suddenly goes completely kafkaesque and turn into Venezuela/North Korea/Iran level bad. I think if you are a risk taker developing markets are better for getting rich than developed places where you face a lot of competition from people more talanted and more hard working than you.
Dave Trotter as a Russian i say...u freaking insane! U buying in this BS? Lmao ...if u speak your mind about politicians..your ass end up in GULAG! Food is crap and very expansive! U get tiny apartment and jobs dont pay shit! My family still there...and i am trying to get them to America! Why they never say what they do for living? And one more thing,,,they don’t like black people...and if u call them racist....they will lol..hahaha...there is no ME TOO..or WOKE in Russia! Cuba is closer...move there!
I think you two are young and versatile enough to be international. I heard one thing you both said about your own birthplace, “more comfortable in my home place versus US for Fedor or versus Russia for Victoria”. But, you met at a University, so if you both had not left your comfort zone you would not be together now. Why not pick a place foreign for both of you yet where English is spoken, where you both can channel your gifting and be a success in an all inclusive environment? Someone here on this site posted places that might work for experimenting. I don’t like raining on anyone’s dreams, but my question is for Victoria? Have you put any thought into producing and directing versus acting, similar to Ms. DuVernay? These days it seems more actors than creators exist, but in thinking I know it is probably a matter of funds available to make it happen. Anyway, your thoughts on the culture here in America were very in insightful. They were on point! I wish you well in all things and all the places you may venture! ✌🏾
Betty, the compromise 3rd nation is a brilliant idea. My parents did that in the late 70s before they had me. I identity as French but i have a eSwatini mum and a german dad. we made it work. i can't imagine an alternate life where i'd be monocultural.
South of Russia like Sochi etc. does have a quite good climate too though :P I mean, I went to Russia last summer, only to the European side this time so I hope to see the Asian part too in the nearby future, but I loved it. It's not at all like it's often portrayed in the West. There are large differences between regions and also between cities and countryside of course, but hey, that's in all countries and Russia is huge, it's impossible to improve all those spaces in the same pace, and as in any country the cities will get the first attention. The people yeah, I agree about that, I'm from Sweden and the same thing about "once you get to know them" could be said about us but I also feel Russians are less materialistic and often more genuine than many in the West. Just generally speaking of course, not everyone are the same. But Russians were generally really friendly, welcoming and hospitable. I'm from a cold place but prefer warm weather and sun too, so yeah that would probably be the biggest con for me as well, with the exception of the southernmost parts of Russia which, okay, might not be warm all year around but at least are warm for long and have decently mild winters. Food, hmm, yeah depends what you like but there are quite many options in the big cities of Russia too I think, but I can imagine America with a huge diaspora has lots more options. The best food for me is in Asia, and Mexico :p But Russian food is not bad, some parts are a bit close to Swedish as well, like pickled herring. I really like pelmeni and stuff like that. The only thing is that I really love spicy food, which would be harder to find. And I never went to America so cannot really compare but I do feel the racism is a bigger problem there, as well as here for that matter. It's a real shame. Lastly though, any country has their pros and cons, after all. But you seem to be a great couple, hopefully you'll find somewhere where's right for both of you!
Victoria you can try signing up for the acting training program that МХАТ university offers for English-speaking foreigners. Actresses Nikki Reed and Elizabeth Olsen did it. It is a summer program, so you can live in Moscow for the summer and see it for yourself if you like it or not. Plus you'll get very good training from the best masters of acting who still follow the Stanislavsky method (after all, he was Russian:))
No mention of free healthcare or better and cheaper Education(free higher education if you are a good student) in Russia? Student debt is unheard of in Russia and taxes are low it would actually be better for you to work in Russia because you might only need to pay a 13% flat incom tax and 6% tax for self employment! Russia is actually the best country to work from home! I live in Yekaterinburg and we have a decently sized black(mostly Cuban) community mostly working in a gym i go to,But Yekaterinburg is a more international city then your home city of Novosibirsk i guess by the reactions you have experienced... So if you are black its better you go to cities that have more experience with people from other countries like Yekaterinburg moscow and Saint petersburg and Sochi! Far east and siberian cities only have experience with asian people Black people usually go to western Russia
Soul Food is awesome! My white German American grandma used to fix stuff just like soul food so when I lived in Oakland or the south I always ate Soul Food, if your a foreigner and come to America find a soul food resturaunt!!!
I am a white 66 year old Louisianian so shocked and saddened that ya'll face racism. Being an introvert I may not get out enough to see racism here, but my area is about 50/50 in race so I'm sure you wouldn't have waiters overlooking you Victoria. Also, I traveled through Virginia and found that Virginians are rude! Ya'll are such a beautiful couple, I wish you success and happiness.
Damn man, I've travelled all over the country and even stationed in Georgia in the military but when I was in Louisiana I saw stuff that seemed like stereotypical bad south stuff, like houses with tons of confederate flags, like 6 ot 7 of them with signs saying "the south will rise again" with all the signs saying racist political statements, it was like something out of a movie. I didnt see that in Augusta Georgia or Opelika Alabama and I was stationed in Torktown Virginia for years and never saw crazy stuff like that.
Honestly, if California is the only experience people have with the US, that's sad. There's a great deal of the US that's much friendlier and less materialistic and expensive.
Every place in the world is going to have pros and cons find the place that fits you best just like any job you have there's going to be things you like and things you don't.
Hi, Fedor, I think that it is part of L.A. culture to be nice to people just because you may benefit. That is probably due to the film industry being there. I'm from San Francisco, and that was never a problem when I lived there more than 12 years ago. Who knows, San Francisco's population has changed so much that maybe it's like that now, I don't know. I have lived in Asia and now I'm in Europe and although there is a lot of racism and classism here, the U.S. is a lot worse in terms of those two issues.
Now both of you are free wherever you want to live, but when you will have children they will be an important part in choosing the place. Wish you all the happiness in the world. 🌹🌹💎
I think atlanta is another place to act, they always need actors, actorees, extras...more people should do the pros and cons of where there from. Thumps up Yea, i agree some Americans we have been breaded to either be heartless or loving but no matter where I go im looked at so don't matter where I travel.
Damn man, who was he hanging out with in America, alot of Americans aint like that, you gotta go around the whole country, it's all very specifically different.
I live in Russia and I am literally sick of people here. Well, maybe it's just my town. But... things I see everyday non stop: people cut down trees to make space for their cars. People throw sofas off bridges in a river. People destroy forests. I see parents walk with their kids while drinking beer or smoking cigarettes. LOTS LOTS LOTS of smokers and alcoholics in the streets. Also very bad polluted air. The weather is bad too from October to April. Not saying that USA is better, my USA fever has passed a long time ago lol but man Russia is so not perfect.
They just haven't seen real Russia.. My friend from Uk just visited Moscow and she's saying like : Russia is so amazing and beautiful country) When i asked her: Have you been anywhere except Moscow and St. Petersburg? she replied: No
@@HelenaRey I'm looking for Happiness. But that's is all i found. Maybe I'm just a wrong person... I am like the square in bunch of circles on children's worksheet that says what does not belong here?»

there are plenty of African hair shops in Moscow established by African students living there. Also, Russian supermarkets offer products for curly hair or you can order them online - cheap and easy
I would love to live in Russia for a short time, but I wouldn't appreciate all that attention and assumptions because of my skin color. I get the same sort of treatment here in the States if I venture into certain areas. White people will encircle me a pummel me with questions laced with derogatory assumptions out of their curiosity for me being in their primarily exclusively white territory.
@@SamsRussianAdventures It's funny how people who are not poc like to tell poc what racism is when they have never experienced it or know when they are the perpetrator of it.
@@theresag1969 i felt the same way in hong kwong . trust me the close proximity and the invasion of space is a source of stress. i would never dream of being in someone's face like that in the name of a primitive feeling such as "curiosity"
@@PHlophe I feel you. I went to a church in a predominantly white neighborhood, I thought I was in a zoo when a crown encircled around me and started to ask me various questions all at the same time. I backed up against a wall and got out of there. I would never do that to anyone. Could you imagine a group of black people surrounding a lone white person out of curiosity? They police would be called and the black people would be accused of being threatening. I guess white people don't think their behavior could be threatening.
1969Vanessa G I have many black friends in Russia and they tell me that they don’t suffer racism. As a foreigner you will get lots of questions and people will be very curious about you especially if you are black, for the reason that they have never spoken to a black person before ever! Of course racism exists everywhere. American police are a prime example. I’m not pretending that I know what it’s like to be somebody who I’m not. At the end of the day it’s up to you.
Shame you guys don't live in Canada, Germany, France, Japan Australia, or New Zealand since all of those countries are more stable economically and with their government right now than America, Russia, Britain, or Italy.
Jesse Torres I was just thinking about the stability issue. I was like ‘If it weren’t for my family, friends, and job I would want to go somewhere more stable’. But then I remembered Russia isn’t the most stable either. Canada might be a good choice though, because I could still speak English. :)
Yeah I'm kinda getting worried for them both. He seems like a proud Russian. And she's obviously a proud American. They've been talking a lot about this in numerous videos as of late. I hope they continue to fight for their love and relationship..
there are plenty of African hair shops in Moscow established by African students living there. Also, Russian supermarkets offer products for curly hair or you can order them online.
there are plenty of African students in Moscow who know how to braid African hair and they offer these services to everyone. There are also products for curly hair in Russian supermarkets. She'll be ok here
Hi my friends, I know everyone wants know how do you send your time, where you go, how you love for each other. What do you see your future plans will be.i want to know more about you. I am just putting it out there. I think ya'll are so cute and funny, loving, God bless ya'll and keep you safe and happy, L.P.P N.C.
As a European who grew up in America, I would love to live in Russia. It is true when they say that cold brings the warmth out of the people. I 🤍💙❤🇷🇺. Love its people, love its culture. Love the Russian tea. I never feel free when I am in America. Freedom in America is a hoax. The sunny and warm weather can become miserable if the people are cold, brainwashed by Hollywood, the media and the failed American education system. Cold weather is still beautiful when you have people living in it who are warm, enlightened, lovely and interested to know about others. America and in fact no place in the west compare to Russia. Not even close. We may have more junksumer goods and more conniving laws and corporations, but Russia has the best of the things that matter. I mean just look at their leader and listen to the way he talks: Vladimir The Great Putin. That is all you need to know. He says everything about Russia. I wish he was my president. 🙏🙏🙏🤍💙❤💌🇷🇺 Z
