I will absolutely vouch for the weather and the TRAFFIC in Los Angeles. I visited LA recently for parts of 3 days and let me tell YOU. The traffic is no joke. The struggle gets real REAL QUICK. Weather is great! Just pack your patience when you get behind the wheel.
I was just in Austin a week ago and LA in December. With the driving I experienced the opposite. The people were cool in Austin, they were actually colder in Los Angeles for sure. Santa Monica wasn’t so bad but mostly street musicians and service industry people that were cool in LA but again people in those industries aren’t from there.
I know right because both of those cities are definitely more diverse than Austin. As a matter of fact, Houston has been called the most diverse large city in the US.
His definition of diversity may differ from what we actually mean by diversity. My diversity is there a good balance of people from different racial backgrounds and cultures throughout the city? Austin is not that lol.
Can you do a video on cultural diversity pros and cons of Austin? I would like to know more about Black and Latinx populations and cultural spots around town.
Very informative. My wife and I been planning to move to Austin for the past 2 years. We agreed that once I am done with school that I will look for work there. Now that I’m getting interviews, it got real, real quick and now I am not so sure I want to relocate my whole family. Now that is growing and tech is blowing up, I dont want to live in a over-populated city or a developing silicon valley replica town, which is funny because I work in tech. But then again, I dont want to stay here in Los Angeles and buy a 3/4 million dollar home. We dont even do things that other people do when they come here. Thats why we want to leave. To enjoy what austin offers as far as more property and land and also the whole abundance of water and rivers.
Yeah, I agree with a lot of that. What we’ve done in the past with most clients who move from CAis show them the places/suburbs about 15-30 minutes removed from the city! Most seem to love it. What’s interesting about Austin is that as much as it’s becoming similar to California, it’s also still very Texan - by default. I think that’s what keeps it lovable and preserves its authenticity, especially outside the metro area. Off the top of my head I’d recommend Georgetown or Lago Vista. Reach out so we can get you taken care of and figure out a gameplan!
