​I'm want to move here from Russia and since almost all European countries labeled me as a war criminal just for having wrong passport I left only with Germany and Austria. And damn... Austria seems so much better. Alps, beautiful nature, better weather, historical architecture, less leftist craziness going on, less chance of getting killed by some lazy bum from Middle East who lives on working class taxes and is useless to the economy.

Brother, im learning normal german language but wish to come austria...so how do i or where do i find austrian german vocabulary..can you help me.

when you lose your job, you dont automatically get social help. I am Austrian and I started working after finishing my master's degrees and had to quit after 7months due to overwork. The social welfare bureau rejected my application because I haven't worked for long enough. I was on the brink of having to move back to my parents' appartment because I had no money and no help.

@sudhinkumars7940 Don't worry about it. It isn't really a different language. The vocabulary differences are very minor. It's like how American's say pants, and English say trousers. In german, they may say paradisers for tomatoes, and austrians say tomaten. Or Confiture, in germany, and marmalade in austria.

Of course in any country, Germamy, Austria Switzerland etc, your ability to speak the official language flawlessly is a very strong determining factor (in addition to skill and qualifications of course) as to whether you get the job or not. Nobody is saying otherwise

Well i speak German perfect too but it was never easy to get an invitation. Once i got an invitation, and they asked me if i was an islamic terorisst. 🙄 In school they treated me and other turkish foreigners very hard compared with the Bio-Austrians. I grew up with Neo-Nazks in the Neighborhood.

@@Victor-kt6qn Austria is a very traditional conservative country, landlocked...no sea. So historicaly are not connected to foreigners from other geo. regions... they still need to learn and adapt to foreigners...things are much better now than previous years.

@@anca9931 well said!...in history a country's growth has happend only when thers an influx of foreigners stepping in to make that happen. The foreign group comes in different shapes, from tourists, a cheap labour force, refugees or marriage...etc...etc... the list is long. Austria is no exception, throughout history they've had foreign workers from neighbouring countries as well as refugees + tourists...the only difference now is media. This platform highlights positive or negative.Sadly its popular in Austria when it comes to foreigners to often report on the negatives regarding them, hardly ever a positive is highlighted. Unfortunately 99% of all media here is backed by 1 political party or another so there's mostly a biased hidden agenda in reporting. We have to also remember 3IMPORTANT points about Austrians... they are not keen on anyone, they even complain and 'name call' their sister neighbours, the Germans...so imagine what people from further afield! 2ndly, there are quite alot of Austrians (especially in Vienna) who are only 2nd generation Austrian but actually origionate from neighbouring countries like Hungary, Serbia, Czeck, Slovskia..etc..etc.. and like in any country with new nationals, such people can overcompensate their new identity but still excercise old rooted cultural mentality. So sometimes the difficult Austrian may only be a 2nd generation hicup. Lastly, and this may be the most important point! Austrian people in other regions outside of Vienna, usually are warmer more flexible and happy go lucky...Vienna is not the only example of Austrian people, the capital city is natuarly the main place where most foreigners will be but its not the only point of experiences to make a final decision on the country. In other Austrian regions its well known that Vienese have a impatient, dry, arrogant tick... and jokes are made about them. Its like in most countries where 1 region has a different mindset to another. Lets be honest, racism exists everywhere. If we narrow it down to Europe...then England and France share the trophy for racism.However the Parisien French are World famous for their rudness. Both countries have a sea, so historicsly have had foreigners enter their culture for centuries and yet they still aren't used to them and pick pick pick. The English don't like the Irish or Scots or even each other's own social classes. The French don't like anyone who eats different to them. The northern Italians dislike their southern Italian brothers. Austria is new at the forigner game, yes they need to be more accepting, such things tend to happen easier after 3 generations, whdn everyone on both sides is more settled. However, its not only Austrians to blame, the foreigners also sometimes need to be more flexible and try to fit in.

No! austrians are still good in racism. That's the difference. When they ask their dumb questions and after they hear you or your parents came from middle east country, then they suddenly change their behaviour, although before that dumb question, they were friendly. Here in austria as a Turk i will never be accepted because Austrians hate Turks in general. And you can be integrated as hell, it makes no difference. Austrians are very good racists. This is my conclusion.

Yes I am sure everyone has bad experiences but Europeans have it easier in general. You know why? Because when you visit or live in our continents especially Africa we are generally welcoming and kind- have always been- to our detriment. When we go overseas SOME of the people there act like immigration is something they have never seen before.

The truth is, the 80s and 90s was the best time to move to the U.S but not anymore. Anyone moving to the U.S now is only going to get the remnants of benefits before the place crashes itself. Somethings about the U.S are nice but it's not for everyone (especially non-woke folks like myself).

Your governments are the ones recruiting us to fill the vacant positions that require our expertise, like in the healthcare field, for example. We eat like regular people, dress like regular people, and we are friendly and kind. But Europe and America have created terrorism and associated it with Islam, portraying the image of bearded Muslims and veiled women. Thats why you may all ask sometimes dumb question and i undrestand, Now wfter seeing what's happening in Palestine, I'm starting to feel fear about traveling to a country that supports Israel in a war that kills women and children. @@wolfganghaiden5817 as a junior doctor who’s Arab and Muslim it’s quite frighting for me to take a step forward and come to Austria despite reaching a B2 level in German. I think racist people would only push highly-qualified individuals away. My family starting from my grandma to my mom to my father all went into university and are very well-educated but only in Europe had I got the feeling that we are not. That definitely doesn’t change the way I think of myself and my family but it definitely consumes your energy and I am not sure I could handle that. That’s why I am thinking of going to the UK despite the lack of jobs over there.

For example: chips, chair, choice and so on...According to your comment it means, that english speaking countries are also "Tschuschen". Spanish : chico and so on. The "Tsch" sound is also included in other languages. And, if you take look at the map, Vienna is closer to east than "east european" Prague.

@@olafkunert3714 no, it is for former Yugoslav immigrants, and the word in Serbs-Croatian means "listen", used as an injection in spoken language - so the Austrians heard it so often when listening to these people speak it sort of stuck and became a term to name these people.
