You are spot on about Dallas, Ga. When I first moved to Georgia, I lived in Smyrna, loved it, until they built the new Braves’ stadium. I moved to Dallas in 2017, because the housing market was better & I love it here. Semi-retired, don’t need the interstate, so it works for me.

I’m currently looking to buy a home in Georgia. A home was presented to me in Dallas, Ga area code 30157. It’s a 55+ community. The town looks very quiet.

We moved to Dallas from Auburn Alabama in 2018 for my husbands job. The schools are not are good say like Cobb but as long as you are an active parent I don’t think that should be too much of a problem. We have a freshman in high so coupled with how much house we could afford and the best school district we landed here. I do most of our shopping for the home in Hiram I don’t like going into Marietta (it is really busy). It is true you do have to drive to get to anywhere but we like the quiet neighborhood life so it works for us.

We just moved from McDonough to Dallas GA and we love it. We do alot of our shopping in Kennesaw tho but love the quietness in Dallas. Shhhhhhh please take this video down so we won’t be over crowded we full 😂😂😂

The direct access to the interstate to me is a pro and a con. Con because it can super irritating some time, however I think it helps keep down crime and congestion. You literally can't get here without making a conscious decision to come.

Hi Raymond! Lol So there is a Dallas in GA I see!!! If people living in these nice quiet towns came to NYC!!!! lol lol they would feel like they want to call it CRAZY CITY!!!! They are used to the peace and calm. Nice little town.

I’m a long-term resident originally from Kennesaw, Ga. My parents moved to Dallas when I was very young and I can honestly say that the only reason I’ve stayed was because of my parents and other family. I now realize that staying here was the worst decision of my life. After my dad passes, the first thing I want to do is sell everything and move. Paulding County has never been a good place to live. It’s growing but because it’s been historically poor, it continues to struggle. There aren’t any jobs here outside minimum wage or city/county jobs and the county CANT attract business for obvious reasons (or lack thereof). Crime and homelessness have definitely gone up in the last few years and the county seemed to lose a lot of steam after the 2008 recession. So, it’s been a slow decline since then. Hiram is bearable if you don’t mind horrible traffic, garbage everywhere, and hobos hiding in the bushes. Dallas is cute, but it’s always been a dead town with a lot of blight. Do yourself a favor and find better suburbs around Atlanta. Or better yet, just move to Florida, Texas, or North Carolina.

Although the court house is in Dallas, it’s not in downtown. That is the old courthouse in downtown. New (several years old now) is on Hwy 278.
