Very nice video Rex ! Very informative and true to life pictures! I lived in F.R 38 years! I love everything about Front Royal ! I moved to my second home in Florida about 4 years ago ! I love the beach but nothing replaces my Blue Ridge Mountains, air , beauty and the friendly people I’ve had in my life 30 plus years ! I go back for a few weeks and it just seems like I miss them mountains and friendly people in Front Royal ! Heck I know so many people in F.R. Now it’s November 2023 . Beautiful weather in Palm Coast , Fishing out on the big boat , all sorts of fun on the beach. So until April I’m in the sand 🌴 I enjoyed your video ! It was done very nice . Thank you . Alice W .
From a life long native: An important point you didn't discuss...CULTURE. I lived there all my life with the exception of a few months in my 20s when I stayed with a relative in Laurel MD! (Culture shock! Lol) Then, at age 47 I moved to south Georgia for a year. When I moved back to FR I saw the people with a fresh, objective point of view. It is growing in the ways you mentioned, but the general dynamic varies depending on the work environment and social circles you end up in. The spectrum of personability is hot/cold and very little sense of genuine warmth and authenticity. They're there but very well hidden.
Lol I agree I moved from anne Arundel county Maryland to front royal VA and YES Major culture shock. I lived in Bentonville for 20 years, about 10 miles south of front royal and just recently came back to Maryland 3 years ago. I'll never go back to front royal drugs have gotten so bad out there.
@@Jes-n3c Hi. I just looked at your photo to see if I recognized you, but you don't look familiar. I worked at Lowes on the front end from '07 to '13. (before that Winchester Lowe's)
You neglected to mention Christendom College plus the good private Catholic schools in Front Royal, as well as some beautiful places to worship God which includes the Methodist church that has 40+ Tiffany stained glass windows.
@davidsimmons9763 Have you ever heard of the Shenandoah River? In case you haven’t, it flows through eight Virginia counties and two West Virginia counties which the Shenandoah Valley was named after. Warren is one of the Virginia counties which includes Front Royal.
I stumbled upon your channel and I will again say that you need to visit and check your photos and facts. The pictures that you have up are inaccurate. Shenandoah national park does not have the shenandoah river run through it. You have a picture of shenandoah river state park... You use to many stock photos and are misrepresenting the wonderful small towns you're trying to show off!
I had to rewatch the video to make sure, and I didn't find any part where we said Shenandoah River runs through Shenandoah National Park. Can you provide the timestamp? I'll be sure to remove it if so. The opening shots cost me $150 to hire a Part 107 Drone Operator to shoot for this video. The rest of it is a balancing act of Elements Envato (we pay for this for commercial license reusage) stock photos and video + Creative Commons licensing + Fair Use. When I started this I was pretty amazed at how expensive and time consuming it is to hire out the photography, license footage, etc. Obviously I'm trying to promote our areas for selfish reasons, but I'm not trying to mislead people. I think overall we do a pretty good job of presenting the facts and doing research, and producing these videos. I'll keep getting better at it too. But just to reiterate- I'm not without my motives obviously. I love the Shenandoah Valley, I love living here, and I also like to do my best to inform folks and get my name out there as a Realtor who lives here and wants to show and tell. Like I said to your other comment though, we're going to just go ahead and label everything that's a stock photo so no one's getting misled.
Front Royal is NOT in The Shenandoah Valley! It is on the north end of Page Valley. Shenandoah Valley is everything west of The Massanutten Mountain. And east of North Mountain. No more than that! Everyone wants to be called Shenandoah Valley so they can cash in.
@movingtovawv You are probably right...but they are wrong. This phenomenon started with the internet. Selling Bed and Breakfasts, homes, touristy things, has benefitted by claiming, "We're in The Shenandoah Valley". Even Winchester now says they are in The Shenandoah Valley!

@papabear8363 Yes. I am very familiar with The Shenandoah River. Thing is that there is a North Fork and a South Fork. South Fork flows through Page Valley. They join together in Warren County, then flow North toward West Virginia. But just because the river flows through these areas doesn't make them Shenandoah Valley. Shenandoah Valley is Shenandoah Valley. Shenandoah River is Shenandoah River.
