You are doing great Veer ji. We want teachers and mentors like you Sir. Because your way of translating gurbani is very fabulous. Keep it up. Not only Whole sikh community feel proud of you but everyone who listened your katha are appreciating the efforts which you are putting.
Waheguru, 🙏 Blessed to have you in our life. I wish I knew you when you were in my time so please let us know in away so that we can take advantage of your full of wisdom regardless of which language since katha is based on our Guru Garunth sahib. I am so impressed with your wisdom and say you explain everything line by line fro Guru the Bani, thank you
Waheguru, thank you so much. We are blessed you came into our life at the right time. Our children and grandchildren need this education. I feel so happy the world is safe now, guru like you who is doing discourse in English. So people of all languages can reach out to your teaching. God bless you always.
Satpal Singh Ji, a heartfelt thank you from Russia for spreading the message of light, the Guru's wisdom, through the priceless seva that you do. Please know that it is highly needed and extremely valued. Waheguru ji ka khalsa, Waheguru ji ki fateh
This is exactly sant singh ji maskeen told one of his katha that we all human beings spend our whole life in the memories of past or worrying about future and forget to live in the present which is now .
Thanks for sharing the jewel of a knowledge from Guru Granth Sahib Ji. You are doing a highly commendable job. Indeed, Guru Granth Sahib Ji helps alleviate sadness and overthinking. Though, I am born and brought up in a Hindu Family, the ideology of sikhism has long fascinated me. 🙏🙏
this has been one of the best. Thanks to the Nanak charity, really learnt a lot and i go one step further and say Gurbani can sort out all the world problems, not just most of them. Thank you so much
We have a very few people like you who explains Gurbani in such a scientific way.the kind of examples you give hardly other Sikh Katha watchakas give. Most of them needs to listen to you to connect with present generation. After a lot of time Feeling so blessed to listen to Some Gurmat parcharak like you.
Hello. What an inspiring and interesting video. Thank you. Also! Do you still have group in Calgary and come together and share thoughts. Pls let me know if you do.
its nice to see someone doing katha in English. ususally babas are from punjab and only speak punjabi . i have never seen katha in english in a california gurdwara before only punjabi. these UK people are really advanced. is english katha normal in UK? Are babas in UK english speaking as well?
This was a beautiful sermon. Am curious, four years later, have there been more vichaar groups formed in North America where people do dukh sukh together? Can you pls give more info/data on this?
Happiness is for me by product of achieving my goals . It's thus their everytime in my life . Do something you value , get of your comfort zone and just do it . Don't want , DO

I love Nanak Naam and the way gurbani is taught. There is a lovely and truthful wisdom. Applying gurbani to talking therapy is a very interesting concept. I don't sense from the videos I have watched so far that there is an understanding of the science behind depression though. The attachment trauma in childhood neglect/abuse causes a person to constantly feel alone and/or alien from society. The need for a relationship with another physical being supports the hormones to balance, and nurture from another human provides neurobiological grounding via mirror neurons for example. People who have attachment traumas cannot attach to 'god'. Humans are relational beings and need this to be much more visceral. You wouldn't leave a newborn baby to develop an emotional attachment to god, so adults who were not nurtured as babies will not know otherwise in later life. I hope someone can share their thoughts on this :)
When you do something with passion, in which the welfare of society is involved. We remain happy. We don't chase happiness. I love my life . If we are greatful to God , we. Are Happy God is so awesomely kind and Compassionate Love you All ❤
Very true Veer Ji. We have to be grateful for all the good things God has given us. We tend to take things for granted and only realise its importance when we lose it. The examples and analogies used were awesome. Thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this amazing discourse. Wahe Guru Ji Khalsa. Wahe Guru Ji Ki Fateh.
@@jojames6621 Take away emotional attachment to worldly things and take away your ego/pride. Stay humble and do only good in your life. Life is a game. Keep God in your mind at all times and think about his creation which is just a game - this is real meditation. You will find happiness and everything will change. Don't run after desires. Change your mindset. You didn't choose your life, it has been given to you. God controls everything - good and bad. Your job is to reach eternal bliss with God which is heaven by saying his name - this is how you get rid of your ego/pride. Life is only temporary, you came into this life with nothing and you will leave with nothing. Your ego/pride is your worst enemy. I hope this helps you.
@@jojames6621 ...I've learned from my daughter when I feel down is this: have u meditated today, have u given thanks f what u do have, have u taken a walk, exercised, read a self help book or video, have u helped someone less fortunate, listen to music or mantra that makes u feel good 👍 😊 ✌
Don't compare , don't compete . You are unique. Do your best . Improve your potential. Work on yourself. Become the best potential of yourself. Be greatful for everything , all the times . The only time is to exist is NOW .We are part of Nature. Stay close to it . Follow natural rules ✨️
@@avinanrey no she isn't peacefully ignoring him, she is selfishly ignoring his bad behaviour selfishly focussing on something other than her duty as a mother, why have children if you can't be bothered teaching them, and so disrespectful to Bhai Satpal Ji - he valiantly ignored it!
I live in a very small town in British Columbia. There are no religious or spiritual groups for Sikh women. One can only go to gurudawara. I am legally blind and and have arthritis in my hips. I have no friends. I am very lonely and depressed. One can only get a little support from the larger community.
I have a silly doubt. Please clear my doubt. In one of your videos, you said "Sab Gobind Hai Sab Gobind Hai" and here you are saying "You (God) and I". In what way both these statements are related?
shankar prasad Sab Gobind hai means everyone came from the lord and that we are a part of him. When we refer as you and I, it becomes how due to our life choices, we’ve moved far from the true lord and therefore, we need to work on us to merge back and be our TRUE selves.
Shankar, it’s just the perspective of the statement. If the statement is coming from a dualistic state of perception or the ultimate oneness perspective. (I think in Indic terminology it’s called yatharth and parmarth point of views). If a drop is in the ocean and perceives itself as a drop, then it’s state of perception is of you and me (the ocean and me). But, once it shifts its perspective then it understands that there is no difference no boundary to distinguish it from the ocean. Our daily living, analogies, explanations, are in duality based perception, hence the lingo of you and me will naturally slip in. So when we hear God and I, think of it as a colloquial handicap. Get past it and see if the perspective of that statement is to relate it to a person in duality and move his/her perception to oneness. Typically you will find that such statements refer to attitudes of humbleness, which is an effective way to minimize one’s ego and cell centered ness, which makes it easier to change one’s perspective to the non-dual oneness perspective. Sorry for any mistakes in my understanding.
I’m not here to hurt someone’s. As me i’m not familiars to Radha soami and I don’t wanna be. As you asked “Nanak naam” is Sikh. Guru’s always talk about that positive power who made this universal not about himself.
I lasted twenty minutes.... between the smoke detector and the wailing kid, migraine. Not happy, laughing joyful child. Wailing kid. Migraine. If I wanted to struggle to hear someone through a child screaming, I would go to a playground. All I could think was, how was this ok for the parent holding the kid? Doesn't bother him/ her, they're used to it. That's all that matter, right? F the people trying to get the deep meaning of the talk. Aspirin for the migraine. To the parents... are there no doors? pacifiers? toys? Conscience? Consideration for others? Sorry, I come from a culture of consideration for others....
Tried to focus on listening throughout the sermon - the cry was very distracting- challenging remaining focused also with a sound of alarm since I was listening with headphones- made it to the end but personally I would have gone outside calm my baby and go back in - good manners help sharing life together- you were very good keeping your mind concentrated and talking the way you did - this is what kept me hanging in there - looking at your effort pushed me not to give up. Next time some of your collaborators ought to ask the mom to go - I am a mom too I would not have never imposed that way 😊 you were so consistent maybe some of your sound technicians can record excluding the cry of the child? Would be highly appreciated 😊
