We are new here and have looked in Highland Park and University Park. Mostly old homes, no new developments crowded poor roads. I understand the school system but there are many good school districts: Like Southlake and Westlake. Also Frisco . Don’t get why someone would move there from outside the area when there are better places all around.
The majority of my my highland park clients enjoy the "bubble" and like being 5 minutes from downtown Dallas. Other folks don't want to be near the hustle/bustle of the city. Often times that leads us to Frisco / Southlake / Flower Mound 😎
I know that proximity to work is a factor. I love the towns surrounding Dallas but if you have to drive in and out at rush hour it is a long commute time wise. Also, as he said airports are very close by if you must travel often. Having lived in CT and PA, an hour drive if you don’t hit much traffic to the airport is exhausting. Another nice amenity is very close proximity to excellent hospitals. Still if not for the commute the towns surrounding Dallas have many beautiful developments with many amenities.
The Only thing I like about Highland Park is the shopping center. Hate the traffic, not alot to do (kind of like River Oaks in Houston. It’s stuffy and pretentious and not much else to do but shop. But, sometimes it’s more convenient to shop online and not be hovered over by Sales Vultures swooping in to make a sale. If I want or need something, I’ll let you know.
I've lived in Dallas for much of my life aside from a few stints elsewhere. Aside from eating and shopping, there isn't a ton to do in DFW. There are a few fantastic museums, both Dallas and Fort Worth have symphonies, zoos, and a couple of other things to try out. But...what you've said about Highland Park is true for pretty much all of the metroplex, only differences being wealth and pretentiousness.
@@sairaimam4895 flower mound is a nice happy medium compared to highland park village. Not as much wealth / fanciness, but still very very nice. What other cities are you researching?
It’s Ralph Lauren, not Polo Ralph Lauren. This boutique features the top-line, Made in Italy collection. Of course, someone like you wouldn’t know that…
Your pronunciation of these restaurants crack me up. No 1. Mi Cocina in HP Village is the very first before franchising. Pacific Cafe in HP is a classic staple. Bistro 31 has been around longer than when you say the owner migrated. Do your fact checking please.
