Never thought i would see the day my home town, Litchfield, would get an video on it. Great video. FYI we are also right on the Merrimack river which offers great fishing too, just can’t swing in it.
I was raised in Litchfield from 1953 to 1980 when I moved to Manchester. Now I'm moving back into the same house I was raised in. Back then, the school was just a plain two room schoolhouse. There were no golf courses either and the Colbys owned most of the land in the town which was nothing but farmland. there were no housing developments either. This gives you an idea of how old I am.
I grew up in Litchfield and used to walk Passaconway all the time. Never remember seeing palm trees? Outside of Mel's and the schools, most of these images aren't even of Litchfield.
That is correct, they are not all from Litchfield. Due to its size there's a lack of available photos. I also grew up in Litchfield, so I'm very familiar with the area.
