To have a place tucked away in tall trees, mountains with a lake and stream, a beach not too far and still in view is also my dream..

Been in a really depressive state and I appreciate these videos, If I'm financially able to, I want to start van life myself... I just moved back home to the north after living in SC for a year. It was my first apartment and my realization of not wanting to pay rent. I've had the idea for a few months now, but every other person I've seen doing this seems to have a lot more financing. So I didn't think I would be able to do it. Please don't take that as shade or disrespect. I just mean the way you're doing it appears to be a lot more affordable and to my comfort level. I know living at home adds to my depression, it's been so much worse. I really want to be closer to my family but these videos somehow help me come to the reality that what's best for me is a little distance between me and my family... sorry, I just randomly cried while watching this and felt the need to vent

I don't gamble, but my coworkers invited me to a casino. So to not be a wet blanket, I decided to spend only $25.00 on the slot machine. $150.00 later never again will I go near a casino or a slot machine. ✌🏾👴🏾

I just watched a video that made concerned for all my van lifers. Get you a security system. One with camera and siren that connects to your vehicle. Also I would put a sticker that says this vehicle is monitored. This will detour those animal activists. I believe that you are doing everything to keep him safe and comfortable. Same, I also hate losing money when gambling. I know you weren’t in Vegas, but anytime I visit there it’s mostly about shows and food 😅 I sometimes set a bit aside for gambling but very little. The tables are also intimidating. We usually go early in the day when it’s more empty and find an empty black jack table. Odds aren’t too bad on that game. But def research how to play if you ever want to try it. I played pretty conservatively (15-16 count didn’t do another hit) and it worked in my favor. Sadly I also like roulette which is so random, definitely about luck. But on the individual machines with the digital display of the spin, you can skip bets or make low bets without feeling watched. And maybe get a free drink in the process.

Not much a gambler either. But there’s a casino 3 towns over and if we’re in the area my partner and go to the roulette table and take a $20 and bet it all on black. We play until we lose or 3 spins and leave. So 3 times a year we do this.

I'm just curious, do you ever offer to pay for a shower when you stop off at Motels/Hotels? Maybe, just offer them about $20? I'm pretty sure they have "empty" rooms, to allow you may be 1/2 hour, just to shower. It's worth a shot! There is nothing like a nice hot shower!

Hi Mateo and Lars. The rapids looked wild and beautiful but can be very dangerouse also. That was my late florida man and my dream to buy land build a house in the middle of no where beside water and woods for his hunting and fishing alas he was killed before it could happen. I pray you get your dream Mateo. You tryed to make what you wanted but you adapted the recipe looking forward to the beach and the recipe when you get there. Most campers go for the free parking and eat there as a thank you. Some places will give vouchers for so and so many tokens for gaming. But yup. With ya on the don't gamble...no clue on that. I think ya need to have photographic memory or be really good with math and odds, etc.
