Ken, I’m a native Floridian. Grew up in South Florida, but central Florida is where I’ve chosen to raise my family. I love all of your videos, and your passion for central Florida! Keep up the good work! We’ll direct everyone we can your way if looking for real estate in central Florida!
Native Central Floridian for 41 years…FL is over crowded, traffic is bad, road rage has escalated, highway tolls are very expensive, home and auto insurance rates are climbing, public schools are extremely over crowded. Tolls are important to factor in to your drives, they can range anywhere from $5-15 dollars a day. I lived in the Lake Nona area, it took 45 minutes to drive 7 miles. If I wanted to drive to downtown Orlando, it would cost about $12 in tolls round trip. Lake Nona High school is over capacity. There are no backroads to get where you need to go. Hurricanes are stressful and damaging, especially if you live on a lake. I reluctantly left my home state and moved to a new state. Life is more affordable and peaceful now.
Love florida and if I had the money I would, so my questions are, what would I need to do to be able to move from the uk to florida permanently? And what's the process ?
I'm moving out to Orlando in two weeks for college, I'm super excited about the weather and the theme parks. I'm from France and would love to meet new people from there 😁
Miami is getting way too expensive and I’m tired of jobs requiring knowledge in Spanish 😭 definitely gotta move up north.. wondering if Orlando is north enough or if I should consider Ocala or even higher
Orlando is not what it used to be in 1987😢. Real Estate is outrageously expensive! Its a sellers market not a buyer's market right now. I found it quite frustrating to find something affordable that is not looking like a zombie home or in a crime ridden area. And rental prices, good luck finding something in a nice area from less than $2,000+
Hi Ken, are there still NextGen homes available? I’m interested in Haines City or Davenport. I’m going to stay in Orlando within two weeks and planning on looking at opportunities in these area’s. Thank you
I’m from Orlando and you didn’t mention any of the great schools on west colonial or great places to live. You seem like you are trying to attract a certain type smdh
we’ve pretty much been priced out of SWFL and we constantly visit the Orlando and surrounding areas anyways, we’re considering the move in the upcoming months and this was a pretty good guide :) thank you for sharing!
Another great video. Coming from Denver, Colorado, but originally from Miami, I am looking forward to not waking up to snow and frigid wind chill. We both will be working at the VA, so Lake Nona is our number one choice.
lol… homeowners insurance is nothing. In New Orleans our insurance went from $3600 to $7100 a year on a $250K home when our carrier in Fal went out of business. We cannot wait to leave LA to have a more affordable lifestyle.
@@kenpozek and actually, we got a deal because we have a new roof replaced after Ida. Others aren’t so lucky. We look forward to moving to Orlando some time in the future. That said, “Laissez les bons temps rouler” 💜💛💚
Awesome video, I’m from NY and I’m thinking about moving to Orlando. I really appreciate this video. I have a pretty successful career here in NYC but I’m getting tired of winter. I’m really scared of moving and not making it. Any advice?
@@kenpozek not making it, is having a job and living paycheck to paycheck. I want to invest in real estate around Florida so I don’t have to rely just on my paycheck. I guess starting over is what’s hard. I’m actually coming to Orlando to see how it is and if I’ll like it.
@@devindrasingh913 I moved here in 2020 at age 56 after living in South FL my whole life. Talk about being scared! I didn’t even have a job lined up. I would say look and see if the type of work you do is readily available in the area, think about how far the drive is to the area you will probably work the most, have some sort of backup savings to get you by a few months at least and go for it. I love it here. I love South Florida for its boating and deep sea fishing, but now I’m really enjoying checking out and camping all the different springs and area up here. I’m not into the Disney stuff. I felt this would be a great area to eventually retire and am so glad I finally made the move. It has been an exciting new chapter in my life.
I still work in the legal field. Any area near a big city usually has plenty of law firms. The homes are also cheaper up here than it was in South Florida so I was able to upgrade for the same price in my home. Every day I wake up, I am so glad I’m here. 😁
Ken is not talking about professional jobs that is not tech or medical and there are no office parks here. Ken did not list any firms here. Wages are so low that teachers quit here
I’m not sure what area you are in but I moved here from Fort Lauderdale and as a legal assistant, I’ve had no problem. There are office parks in Maitland and areas near me in Altamonte. Plus I make more money here than Idid on South Florida, which was surprising. There are large firms like Morgan & Morgan, Dan Newlin, Cole Scott & Kissane, to name just a few. I also got a nicer home for the cost than what I had in South Florida.
Great video, very well done, looks beautiful ❤ No teacher would ever want to move to Florida with your governor tho…just saying. Actually your governor would actually stop me from moving there, but that’s my opinion. This is 2024 and I am white, heterosexual, non racist, I believe in equal rights for everyone, my one exception is transgender athletes competing, but that’s it.
Thanks my dude! As a creator you’d appreciate this. Our catalog of broll in orlando is unrivaled now. The team has been spending a lot of time on it 💪🏽
My family and I really want to relocate to Orlando but the raising cost in Florida with the added cost of homeowner's insurance and low paying jobs keep us from making that decision. We are hoping in time things get better so we can make that move! We relocated from Gainesville, FL during the pandemic and this is the first time we have seen the cost rise so high in central Florida. Thank you, Ken for sharing!
I lost my job in Orlando in October of 2023. I am still unemployed. I am educated with two degrees. I did apply for a job at Ken Pozek’s office and never got a reply. I reached out 3 times. Renting is expensive. A house across the street is for rent in Winter Garden and it is a single home with 1,800 square feet and asking $3,075. People are moving out of the area and Ken does not talk about that. Car insurance went up . On the news they said 5 people die every week here from traffic accidents. Very bad drivers here. Urban planning is horrible here. In our area, we do not have a library or post office or a church or bowling or tennis. But we have lots of crappy food places and no mall in the area. I do not view Disney Springs as a mall
@@magicparkmemories The job market is tough and I am sure it is even worse living in Florida. I moved out of the state of Florida because the state is mostly known for hospitality and medical. I moved to Atlanta to be able to purchase a home, have reasonable cost of insurance, and to remain gainfully employed even through a tough job market. A lot of my friends and family have relocated out of Florida for similar reasons. The only reason I want to move back is to be closer to family but I think that’s more fantasy than actuality. I am sorry that were laid off and haven’t be able to find employment! My heart goes out to you and I hope things change soon. I have been laid off twice in less than a year so I know what you are going through!
When I moved down here 7 years back Baldwin was our choice. Its a good area to raise kids and feel safe. Well located to downtown and Winter Park. My wife loved it there. If your kids are older or you do not have any Baldwin maybe too noisey or not the right vibe. Winter park 32789 zip would be where I would suggest if you can afford it.
Go to NorthPort Florida if you want a house with no HOA. It is 2 hours from Orlando. It’s south of Sarasota and north of Englewood . Houses are far apart and lots of land.
Great video as always Ken. Sending lots of love and support from the Uk. The dream has always been to move to Orlando and not just visit every year. Windermere looks perfect. Thank you for all the amazing videos 👊🏼
To many people. To much traffic. People are rude as hell. Everybody is stuck up and thinks that they're a freaking celebrity or some kind of superstar or something it's just not a very good city to be in
