You could go to the park by tram too, it's just 3 stops lol. But these are all the stops that lead to the park: Katowice Ogród Zoologiczny, Katowice Wejście Główne and Chorzów Stadion Śląski. You can go there by trams 6, 11, 9 and sometimes 0. I hope it helps in the future ;)

I've never been to Katowice and I thought it looks like a post-industrial city. You have proven me wrong. Poland changes for the better and is a totally different country comparing to, let's say, 20 years ago.

You are in the town I was born in, girl. Please give it a big kiss from me - I haven't been there in 10 years ...at least. I was born there in '76 and I was six years old when I had to watch Jaruzelski's martial law and his tanks and armoured vehicles roaming the streets, from the windows of my little apartment, but I still remember the ZOMO and ORMO-squads beating innocent people (often to death). There was (well...still IS!) a mine there called "Wujek". The miners got sick of the regime and started striking so the cops got in and opened fire on them. In the "communist paradise of the peasants & workers" the very same workers weren't allowed to strike, even though their life-conditions were APPALLING. What you see now (and share with us) is a much changed city - from one of the most polluted cities in Europe - a gloomy, polluted, communist utopic-town, stinking of sulphur ad phenol and God knows what else ... to one of the GREENEST. Much Love & Best Regards! (thumb up & subscribed). ENJOY! ;) :)
