I grew up here, went to school with Tony Gwynn son at poway high, lived on metate lane. Pretty nice place to live. just know if you have kids that drugs are pretty easy to aquire at the schools..

Poway should stay the City in the Country. Stop overbuilding! And build regular homes with decent yards like from the 70’s not so many apartments or estates! Too many cramped apartments currently being built along Poway Rd. I loved growing up in Poway though!

City in the country....drive down poway road between community and pomerado...miles and miles of New built low income house...maybe 2 or 3 bus stops. Poway has no transit or trolley station. Also we've had drought for the past 5 years...and rolling blackouts. Let's not forget the infamous boil water notice right before covid. So now besides the new rich neighborhood butterfly amphitheater up in esposla now all the new low income apartments. And you wonde why they want to raise our water and electricity rates by 28 percent in 3 years. Not to mention sandag now saying they won't be expanding any east or north county freeways. Poway is awesome. But it is changing. Fast. Really fast.

Steve Vaus really isnt a good mayor, I hope to someday run and replace him, I plan on fixing poway for the better. What he is doing right now is destroying the "country" part of the city in the country.
