When you are staying with your parents, you should support them for staying there. Maybe share expenses to the limit you can. I stay with my parents, but I share 8-10k a month towards the house expenses. 😊 You shouldn't be staying with the only mindset of saving your money, by transferring the financial stress & the burden again on your parents shoulders. Especially when your parents are not well off, and all their goals, and their retirement kitty was completely taken care of.

Guys...how do you keep track of your expenditure...excel is not that sustainable method since you have to sit and enter the expenses every day. I don't find Apps like IndMoney safe to give access to all my SMS. Any another suggestion please? I'm looking for a more automatice method..if possible.
I am doing it in Google sheets for last 8 months. You can just do it from your phone. Do it for 3 months, you will have a basic idea of where the money is going.

@@arten8281 Even though tax is nil upto 2.5lac, But practically rebate is also available upto 5lac, Hence calculated tax 12500 gets cancelled out through rebate (releif kind of), So no tax upto 5lac income

Rd is recurring deposit (You have to pay monthly)You can open this through ur bank account. It's like emergency fund you can get it immediately if you like to withdraw. SIP Systematic investment plan. You can invest through demat account. If you new to investment platform, You could start a SIP in Index fund (like nifty, nifty50) because it's safe for beginners. Laptop can be an essential requirement. So if you can use it productively buy it and try to pick a future proof model and you would use it for atleast 3-4 yrs. For emi depending on your situation, buy where you get lower interest. Doesn't matter what credit instrument you use interest should be less
I bought a second hand laptop for 17K in April 2021 and have been using the same for my side hustle and my dad's business since then. I had initially planned to scrap the laptop in a year and upgrade to a new one, but the laptop is working fine and I haven't switched since then.
