After a couple years in China, I learned only to eat at Muslim Chinese restaurants. Other restaurants made me sick so many times… but the Muslim restaurants answer to a higher Authority - and hold themselves to higher standards of quality - than the provincial public heath department standards require.

you are spreading disinformation, there is no such thing in china food hygiene standard are different at different level of authortrity (provincial or higher, or lower) , standard is just one, it does not matter it is a halal food or not , or at different place, requirement is always same, there is never such thing as muslim restarurants answer to higher authroirty in china, it is such a NS, the muslim food only has local level association they are not even official but a civil association , let alone anything close to"answer to higher authority," only one they answer to is local public heath department, actually it has lower standard for hygiene, because hala food has to be washed food with soil suspension during food preparation for pure religious purpose, soil contains bacteria and germs, its common practice among hala food industry, there are many foreigner food vloggers in china and they have many experience in chinese resturuants, including all kind of food, i do not see any one made claim like you did, maybe that is your own reason due to health status.

There are several ethnic groups that have Islam as their religion. For example, Hui, Uyghur, Dai Hui, Mongol Hui etc. But mostly the Chinese thought that Islam is only for the people of those ethnicities. What they don't know is that Islam is universal. Actually Han people can be a Muslim too.

Living in NYC, I have access to Muslim Chinese food. Absolutely delicious. Some of the best meals here. Even the Halal Chinese food restaurants that's serve standard Chinese food tastes way better and fresher than the regular Chinese spots.

Ramadan Kareem all. I spent three months working in China, Hangzhou, and Dongguan and visited Shenzhen it was all beautiful. It was around the end of COVID-19 and I wasn’t fortunate enough to visit Hangzhou mosques because it was always fully booked.

Hats off to our Chinese brothers and sisters of the East. Ramadan Karim Must day really want to move leave the west its too negetive - and I will inshallah. West and it's wars every one is fed up (nobody wants anything to do with them). I really want to move back to the East inshallah. East is better quality of life and family life in general! Bit confused what they show about Muslims in China in the western media - then we see vlogs like these who show a different picture... the muslims are juut fine then, Alhamdulillah. One thing for sure, the muslims in the China are more happier better off then the ones in the west. Thank you for this beautiful vlog! ❤
