I worked in housing management in Metro Atlanta for 25 years..The section 8 residents were not a problem, it was their visitors and unauthorized people moving in..Your house is impressive..👍👍
As someone born & raised in North Philly and lived many years in the projects, people don’t understand how many of us, our parents, our family are hard working people and trying to reach to the top like everyone else. Thank you for sharing an looking forward to your journey 😊💛
I was also born and raised in north philly, whole family worked hard and never qualified for any program at all. I don't think people don't realize that there are a lot of people on programs that work hard. I think people feel like there are lot of people who are milking the system and they're paying for it when they themselves would never get that same opportunity. And that ruins the image for everyone who is on section 8 trying their best to move up in life.
I love it! When my kids were young& i was a single mom, we lived in sect8. It was a very nice place too. I'm happy for you and your kids. ❤ Bless you!!
This was on a Sunday honey. We had family over. I work Monday thru Fridays. Not weekends. I work 8/9 hour shifts. I also pay my tax money as well as you do. I live with myself and 3 children. And what did I try to sugar coat? I’m not allowed to have family or friends? I do live comfortably but I do also pay my rent portion because I make good money. I applied, got chosen for the program and I do what I need to do for my kids. Sugar coat? Never! I’m more truthful on this app that with some of my family. So take your hating self somewhere else and be mad alone. Because, the truth is the truth and you got it!
We have all these migrants moving to states getting over on taxes payers dollars, what the hell. You live here all your damn life paying high taxes. People please.🙏 much love to you. Your daughter's hair look so cute.
Hi I love your video thank you for sharing. I'm looking for a house as well and I'm a hard working mother. You have a nice spirit. You have a beautiful home, thanks for sharing!
Hi, I'm a New Subscriber 😊 And I'm loving it over here already😊 You've a beautiful family & Home🥰 I've Section 8 as well! And I'm disable my 20yr old son lives with me and we love our home🙌🏾🙏🏾😇💪🏾🫶🏾
Maybe give your other daughter your computer room! Move your computer room to the empty area outside your bedroom. Just a thought as kids need room first.
That’s true. I a working on that. When I moved in everything happened so fast. Ask the computer hookup was on that one room. So I ask working on that! Great suggestion
You’re so welcome. Sometimes RU-vid can make certain comments look like they are for someone else. I want to be clear, those other comments were not for you.❤
Really nice house! What state are you in. I love the neighborhood setting. Hopefully, within the next few years, I'll be ready to relocate back to the south.
Coco, thank you sharing this video w/us. You have given me a new perspective on Section 8. I'm waiting on SSDI, & I know it won't be enough to cover everything, so I am thinking this will be my next step. I have rej
You have a very nice place. You have a lot of space. I did not see a dining room. People always think the wrose. You are not living free, you pay taxes on everything! Live and let live. All these mirgrants
I would like to know how much you pay when you have a voucher because this is so nice and it doesn’t make sense that our community doesn’t get more vouchers when racism keeps us struggling regardless of our mindset
Blessings to you. That's a beautiful home & neighborhood for Section 8. I'm shocked. A definite stair handrail or 2 would benefit everyone. What state?
I put the link on your Facebook page to apply. If you follow me on Facebook anything I find out, I’ll keep you informed. I applied two moths ago and was warded within a week
Girl it don’t take much peel and stick wall paper adds depth. Rugs. Throw pills . Add texture. Just kind of google things like “black and white modern living room” or whatever you like and get ideas and piece things together slowly. Just take your time and have fun with it. That’s a huge space to have some fun with. Very beautiful blessing. Keep up the pushing 🙏🏾✨
Good morning. I have only one question why do you have shoes in your living space? You have beautiful furniture and the shoes on the shelf is an eye sore. I love your neighborhood.
@@diannehall1534 so my kids won’t track all over the house…. I know it’s an eye sore, but it’s better than them tracking up the house. I want to return this home the way I received it when I get ready to move…. It’s too much space for the kids and I. I’m looking to downsize this year
@@chasemorantz6228 it all depends on what your landlord decides to add in… some automatically add pest control, lawn maintenance if in a HOA Community etc. but Section 8 doesn’t cover it as a program
Thank you Miss Coco I enjoy you giving a tour to your home and I don't look at your home being messy you know messy from somebody that I just don't feel like cleaning bless you and your children and enjoy your beautiful home it is beautiful
@ragstoricheswithcoco Copy. I, too, have section 8, but I had not heard of section 8 designated housing. I've had it for years and I'm finally planning to relocate. I'm thinking Hawaii and using the voucher to buy a condo out there.
You should have made an extra room for one of the kids by the stairs.. and made the beds up and at least tried to pick up a little before showing . Just my opinion
Homeownership goes by county, meaning it's up to the counties discretion if they want to do the homeownership program, all counties don't do it.... we still have a housing crisis, rent is super high and steadily going up, so trying to move to a county that does offer it is very hard and alot aren't absorbing.... plus its super hard depending on where you live to find owners/companies to accept the voucher........ How are folks dry hating like this place is too nice because she has section 8? Like folks who have section 8 deserve less than? Folks are weird ffs..... Talking about popping out kids? Their are singke people on section 8..... 🙄 telling her to say thankyou because of your tax money, while more of your tax money goes towards padding the govs pockets and other b.s and she stated she works so she pays taxes as well, so why exactly is she thanking folks!!?😂😂.... how yall mad at folks for being low income? Thats mad weird.....😂😂😒 I am disabled, I work part time even though my body is steadily failing me, I have section 8, id trade places with a able bodied individual real quick....so if you want what you think is free help, folks up in ya business like a enima, to be judged, or to feel like or treated as though you deserve less based off of the bad apples....have at it....
The world has changed. The U.S. has an immigration problem, too many poor, and lack of affordable housing. There isnt enough housing for US citizens now. We have a global homeless crisis. Im retired in Danbury, CT, on a fixed income, I'm on long waiting lists, for senior housing. I have a section 8 voucher, for a one bedrm
