About Life Below Zero:
Life Below Zero follows six people as they battle for the most basic necessities in the state with the lowest population density in the United States. Living at the ends of the world's loneliest roads and subsisting off the rugged Alaskan bush, they battle whiteout snow storms, man-eating carnivores, questionable frozen terrain, and limited resources through a long and bitter winter. Some of them are lone wolves; others have their families beside them. All must overcome despairing odds to brave the wild and survive through to the spring. And when spring arrives in Alaska, rising temperatures bring mounting challenges as they work to prepare for yet another winter.

@@commentkingace I can't afford it! I was in a very bad car wreck where the other driver rear ended my & now I'm disabled & lost my job of 30 years. Why do people have to be so hateful with comments like yours? What did I do to you? I feel sorry for people like you that have so much hate in them that they lash out like you did. This kind of action is what's wrong with this world. You get more from honey then you do with vinegar. Words from a very wise woman. You might want to try saying something nice one day. It will get you farther in life if you try to be nicer one day. If you smart off to the wrong person you might either be in jail or dead on the street. Or you might be living in you Mothers basement all alone bc you have to be a smart a**. But it's OK if you live like that, being miserable & all. I don't have hate in my heart & have to live like you. Yes I might be disabled & can't afford cable/satellite, but I got more respect for people & treat them as an equal. So I really believe you meant no malice in your comment & just got caught up in the hype. You have a wonderful week & may God bless you & let his light shine on you & feel your heart with joy, love, & happiness. Chris P.S. I'm not mad @ you. These types of shows start out good until the cast start to become actors and the producers force conversations and situations that don’t seem to be natural. Jess is not good at acting and they make it seem like she would be in real trouble out there without her husband. She does have ideas but it comes across as forced.

She doesn't want to depend on stores and then says that she has to prepare and pack 30 breakfast's, 30 lunches, and 30 dinners or 90 total meals for two people. These two are one of the reasons I no longer watch this show.... Crybabies, self important, self entitled, ken & Karen!

Living far away from a clear highway and an emergency room is all well and good until someone becomes seriously ill or gets seriously injured or needs emergency surgery. Yes, and it's foolish to bank on "it won't happen to me!" We're all flawed mortals who are neither omniscient nor are we impervious to injuries and organic medical faltering. We can be caught by surprise even if we're being as careful as can be, and get horribly sick even if we're the picture of health. You never know what life will throw at you and we're all going to die of something sooner or later. I might sound dramatic, but really. Life can be terrible and unexpectedly so at times.

BECAUSE of the climate it takes planning, know how, as well as Grit and determination and stamina to do that. So I can survive out there in the harsh climate. I prefer to learn to live in igloos and learn from the Innuites their way of life, techniques, etc. But even that takes planning. It would seem that you would have an insulated building with a heat source for those dogs on extreme cold nights.

Those dog's would be to hot in a heated building. They have under coats you wouldn't believe. My husky best day's were snow day's. She cried to go out to just be outside . She thought moving to Florida was the worst idea. She was right😉

I live in the woods of Alaska and have a Malamute for companionship. She much prefers being outside at -30° F than inside my cabin.

Wow, so many critical comments from all the ppl watching instead of doing. If these ppl don't live their lives to suit you, I'm pretty sure that's why they're where they are. All they've got to please is themselves @ your snarky remarks mean less than nothing. I commend them for having the guts to even try.

A grizzly bare could catch you and eat you, and I don't think they're 10% more intelligent than humans. Although I can't see the Bear inventing fire arms or Mace anytime soon

I like how humans move into other animals' habitat then complain about the said animals.

I wonder how he sustains and feeds 60 sled dogs. I wonder if they touch on that in other episodes. Some mushers rely on fish. Good episode though.

This is like a speeded up version of the terrestrial series which I watched a few years ago with added advertisements which is ironic really considering the subject matter.
