You know, Drew, you have so much space that you could designate your living room as an entertainment space and set up a dedicated theatre room with your TV, some awesome speakers, big comfy chairs, an old-time popcorn maker, and a cute bar cart. Oh and I love the way you've set up the chairs in the living room. It creates a nice little conversation area.

Great point. Also, TV's above fireplaces are quite annoying as you have to crane your neck up to view them. I chose my current apartment very specifically because it didn't have a fireplace, like my mom's, where I stop watching TV and return to looking at my phone due to craning my neck so much. I also have a PlayStation, and gaming consoles with fireplaces doubly don't work.

Yes, real plants are nice, but can be messy and the upkeep can be time-consuming. I would only use easy-to -care-for real plants than don't drop leaves all over the floor, create dust, and invite cobwebs. At least with fake trees, you can just drag it out into the back yard and give them a shower from time to time.

@batterbury4477

TIP : using a console table behind couch is a very elegant and classic way to define a space. In very large rooms , couches are often 'free standing' in space designated as 'seating area'. To make this space feel and function like a cozy destination, put a long console table behind the couch- one or two lamps to read by and brighten couch area also creates 'height' and illusion of 'wall' framed by that great arch!. And all your fabulous styling touches - wonderful. For inspo see any AD of great estates or boutique hotel lobby areas

Welcome Home! So good to see you are tackling the living room and the work studio. Everyone who has been following your NEW HOME journey has mentioned that when you actually live in a space- then you get the feel for it. I know that you are a 'vibey' designer- (love this) so I think living and working in the new house you will naturally ' get ' how the house works for you. Watching the sun travel over the walls and floors, favorite morning spot etc.... Regarding TV over mantel - really? Please re -think; maybe it's time for a projector set-up ?

1st,. Your kitchen turned out gorgeous! 2nd, Kudos on sofa color choice, it was, IMO, the best investment (you brilliantly purchased a timeless chameleon that will effortlessly blend in) 3rd, Your astute observation on the 'sofa' tone balancing out all that brown. (I was so relived to hear you say in a prior vid, that you were being drawn to 'blues' which would also help to add needed ashen as all the brown, amber, orangish elements can get old fast. Adding these blues, charcoals & etc. will keep you loving it! 4, Love, love how you're not adverse to playing around until it really works! Your innate ability & humility to question, experiment, take risks & evolve are what makes you an artist/designer rather than a cliché' decorator. Keep cultivating your keen eye and trust me you will one day be counted among the greats! Thank you for taking as along!

The color of the living room rug is gorgeous. I actually like the green of the chairs but I'm sure they'll look nice in whatever fabric you choose. I look forward to seeing the finished room, I know it will be amazing. Your style is so warm, casual but not to the extreme, elegant but not stuffy. It even seems kind of unique. I've never been to Los Angeles but when I think of LA, I don't think of warm & comforting but you are able to create a place that says, Home, in a place I don't think of as homey. I had doubts that even you could do anything with that kitchen but it turned out very nice. I shouldn't have doubted. I also thought it was tiny & cramped & thought for sure you would expand it but you worked with the existing foot print & it seems like a very workable kitchen now that it's finished. I'm still confused about the fact that your home is a duplex. Is one unit going to be just for Lone Fox & the other for living or are you planning to make it a single family dwelling? P.S. I also can't wait to see what you do in the court yard & the outside

Drew what a gorgeous early steamship painting from the 1800s. One thought would be to get a metal free standing easel frame and depending on your mood you can display either side in either landscape or portrait. You run the risk of damaging that beautiful fragile oil paint by leaning it against the wall. Your home is coming together sooooooo fast!! And amazing as always. Thought for a quick video: the lifetime of a Lone Fox object from Hunt, Acquire, to the shelves until it is checked out like a library book into just about every room until it finds its Lone Fox home!!!

I think the color you’re looking for the walls would be an olde world parchment. Have you thought about opting a hidden projection screen rather than a tv? Best of both worlds. Love this room!!❤ I’ve got my eye on the large copper pot, brass cat and the rectangular painting!😍😍😍

Almost every grandmother in Serbia has this type of carpet in her house. They were fashionable in Serbia in the seventies or eighties, and they are of very high quality. My grandmother still has one very similar to yours in her living room for about 40 years. I am not sure if they were created under Turkish influence or not, but I can assume that it is so, because in Serbia and Bosnia, a lot of Turkish customs have been preserved from the past. They also have a lot of similarities with Persian carpets that are produced and sold a lot in Bosnia (where again there is a lot of Turkish influence and a lot of Muslim people live there). I love your videos so much, keep it up! ❤
