Your coving is stunning, Kelly Hoppen the interior designer always says skirting and coving should be same colour as walls. I can picture your doors black, will look amazing, I’ve just done mine black and love them x

The coving has finished off the room perfectly and painting them the same colour as the wall was perfect. A lot of work but worth it’s definitely worth it❤

Love the coving it looks really nice and painted the same as the wall colour 💜 for Christmas I would put some real logs in the fire place and small tea light battery candles sitting in the logs 💜 so it looks like flames coming through 💜 what ever you do will look cosy just in time for Christmas 💜

I said this from day 1!!! Always paint the coving and skirting the same colour as the wall girl 👏🏼 Please also paint the door frames 🙌🏼 looking fab so far and the ceilings already look so much taller 😍

Now that looks very classy Shade 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤛🏻🔥🇬🇧xxxx p.s a black door will look gorgeous, is also grounds a room x if it was my room, I would have the fire place out & a beautiful unit between the sconces, tv built in & placing pieces you love on it. There are gorgeous units out there. In the space where the tv was a lovely chair for extra seating 👍🏻 . Just my thoughts of course 😁😁xx

Ok, when I do my living room next year I am definitely doing painted coving, it looks so good! But I need to know, what’s the trick to stopping the caulk from oozing out of the tube?! The second I stop applying it, it just keeps coming and I get into such a mess, I hate caulking so much 😩

Great job. I think you should consider painting your doors white or black to match your decor.The orangey doors seem off with your colour scheme .

Paint the woodwork; skirtings architraves and doors in the wall colour. Looks really lovely with darker colours on walls. Leave the coving the same as the ceiling to help lift the room! Will look amazing 🤩

Congrats, on the absolutely stunning result. The ceiling looks so much higher painted with the wall color. I plan to use your coving install technique in my bedroom suite and am currently in the process of painting all of my interior doors only (not door trim) black to achieve a more elevated/sophisticated look. I saw it on Sophie Patterson’s channel and it’s looking great. Your place looks like a magazine cover!

Well impressed. A deeper coving would have overpowered the room, what you have chosen is in balance to the height of the room. We did coving jobs decades ago and as you say you learn as you go. You are certainly inspiring people to have a go themselves. Another big tick.

We had a fire place similar and realised that we wanted a log burner it was to be our 2nd one loved the one in our last place the installer came round to access the FP zip mentioned the pipe he said they would deal with it when installing L. B it all went like a dream Not sure what your doing but if not central, it would annoy me!

I have flat white ceilings, white coving and beige walls, it never even entered my head to paint the coving the colour of the walls , it looks fabulous!

Looks great. You have done a fab job. We have a fireplace that I hate but OH likes😮 Iit was like yours without the wood surround..just marble with tiny mantlepiece ( I call it a headstone😅) I covered it with mdf frame to make a surround and put a thick mantlepiece on and then painted the marble black and the mdf same colour as walls looks better (for a while!)😅
