LIVING SHIPS 101 | No Man's Sky 2021 

Living ships the most sought after thing in the game. I just wish we could have more slots in our freighters to carry more ships.

I was about to start some quest to earn 3200 quicksilver, but someone donated a void egg to me when I stood by the Nexus, going to start the rest of the quest now

On ps4 The time skip still works. My steps 1 manual save at save beacon or the other smaller thing 2 turn off ps4 internet connection (without closing the game just press the home button) 3 change time manually 2 days ahead 4 go back into game and make sure the time has passed 5 save or force auto save and then do the next stage. I did this today on the 24/07/2022

I just started playing this game and all I can say is wow. If this game wasn’t such a flop at release and was more like this, definitely could’ve been a GOTY nominee. So much to do and so many places to go. It’s basically Minecraft for adults

I teleported to the system and it didn’t give me any marks or hints on where to go. It also never said that you heard the song of the egg. Help

good video. have a sub. so in the final stages of my first one. After clearing everything down to the ship itself, can I go to a different location and restart the mission there? I know a spot where the living ship will be S class with four sc slots connected in a 2x2 sq. Don't want to have to get a second egg if i don't need to.

Okay. Just finished the video. Really good. I can't believe you crammed all of that in there in 9 minutes. To be honest, I've never been interested in Living Ships, but after learning that they don't get damaged when you travel black holes and the like, I may grab one. I also didn't realize those glyphs had actual names. Who would have through that The Trivial Pursuit Piece is actually called the Anomaly

You can still skip the timers. You just have to set your date and time settings forward a day while playing offline. In 2022

Just finished this mission after Exp 6 made it to Euclid and now im back to grinding the living ship. I've heard that abandoned systems are the only ones that spawn LS upgrades. Do you know if that's true? So far i have tried in Euclid and now back in galaxy 90 trying this out. So far nothing.

I enter target sweep and it says location service unavailable? what do i do, every tutorial says it should work but it doesnt for me

When I go to fill up souls it stays at 66% and only lock-in cup technology I’m so confused

So when I go through the portal puting in the symbols it doesn't do anything it just brings me back the planet I was already on like it is glitched I tried so many things and still can't get to the other side.

MAN when you said "add living ships to your fleet" i thought that i could have some to send on expeditions LOL how cool would it be to have an army of live ships at your command (could also be animal abuse though)

You have to turn off your internet on your PlayStation and then turn off your automatic set time and then you can manually set it and still bypass the waiting. I just discovered

I has question! Ive been having trouble getting glyphs. All i need to do is go there right??? Is it possible i could do an anomaly warp if im with a group of players who are at said coordinates???

So atm I'm kind of stuck as I've gotten everything etc but it won't allow me to access the ship at all and I'm slowly giving up with it

Time skipping worked for the first three pieces, but not the last one (the singularity) for some reason. Tried reloading multiple times, restarting the game, turning on/off multiplayer, and nothing seems to work. Really unfortunate, because if I wanted to play a mobile phone RTS game and wait for things to happen, I would go play and mobile phone RTS game..

I want a different ship but I hopped in my ship before manually saving, am I screwed??

I have the 1st time, the nervous system, and I've been pulse driving in multiple systems and I don't seem to get the meeting with the mothership again, can anyone help?!

You can also get upgrades sending a fleet of living frigates out on expiditions

Hey guys, my target sweep mode doesn’t activate. I landed at the egg beacon, but when I get out and pull out my scanner it does nothing. Pls help.

The one thing I hate about the ‘first to current save’ attempt to get living starships is that there is no blasted way to know what the glyphs without having guide tell you what they are, and I hope that a future patch adds the names in.

So, I’m looking back at this older video(since there have been multiple updates since this update) and with the latest expedition, it requires you to go to another galaxy, and I did, I went to another galaxy and now I’m having trouble with the mission to get the ship. Any ideas on how to fix this?

..well I tried it in Hilbert dimension-but turns out needed to be done in the Euclid galaxy..other wise the co-ordinate a take you elsewhere.....(the co-ordinate a are not the same exact in each other galaxies)

Is this ship worth it? I have an S class exotic with 280 damage and 330 shield and a solar which has slightly lower stats but basically free pulse engine. 274 damage and 280 shield. Is a living ship gonna at least equal that?

I have mature stem, awakened void egg, mature heart and hardened shell but when I got to a portal glyph in Euclid my target sweep isn't getting signal is it another step I have to do before the portal?

I got my void egg from some rando who just asked if I wanted one

The living ship attacked me! In the fourth stage of the quest just as the living ship gave me a signal and came into view. One of the NPCs that tries to stop you while you're flying around to trade sent a signal at the same time. The living ship whipped around and attack me. I killed it of course, and then I reloaded my last autosave. Everything went smooth the second time around ( I wish I was recording my gameplay ). I've been trying to find out if this has happened to anybody else. Please let us know if it's happened to you.

Still trying to find the galaxy for the first part of the mission what should I do? It’s been 50 plus jumps

So I got the fragile neural stem, waited the timer on the quest(it ended early this morning, it’s now almost midnight) and the stem never matured. I can’t do anything else for the quest now, any advice to fix this?

What is the living ship’s role compared to the other ships?

I am having a problem with this. I messed up the first ship by buying one that said it was living but was one of the regular ships, i didnt know what was up. So, i still have the egg thing that has the runes on it talking about the hunter, etc, but from all the videos i have seen, they say that as long as i have that egg in my person inventory, if i go to space and use the sublight thing, that eventually i will get the incident where it shows up and tells me a planet to go find the ship, but that never happens, no matter what galaxy, what star system, i have tried a dozen so far, new ones, ones i have been too, etc, and nothing ever happens, so my question is how do i reactivate the quest to get another ship? because having the egg in inventory isnt doing a thing.

so i declined my living egg to switch starships to swap with but the living ship just disapeared so i reloaded my autosave and now its a regular ship

So do u actually need to collect the glyphs or can u just put in the code??

I have began that mission.. egg, core, etc.. but the travel is very long trough star systems around the galaxy ( I'm following the green lines in galactic map) .. Is it normal or I have miss something ? can anybody please help me ? thanks

For some reason my living ship was damaged when I went to another galaxy just today. I had heard of them not taking damage but mine sure did. Also on any other ship any upgrades in the tech section will not take damage.

I can confirm if your living ship is selected and you upgrade cargo slots on your freighter it will add slots to your living ship. It works , but, works best if your S class freighter is a small one to get the most slots added to your living ship. This was the easiest single player method but limits the slots that can be added to your LS. I have watched video on upgrading LS to 48/48 but requires a buddy to work with you...

I see several vids (including this one starting at 8 mins) saying it is so much faster and easier to get a SUBSEQUENT (second, third etc.) Living Ship. Just need a Void Egg and 10,000 nanites and bang! You got it? Uh, nope. SO has anyone *DETAILED* exactly how to get the 2nd Void Egg to 'respond' and do its thang?

I have a lot of void eggs too but I think the max ships you can have is 3 because I'm not getting that same call from the aliens for the ships anymore when I go into hyperspace

Never playing this stupid fucking game again, I got all of the pieces, had multiple other things done, and all I needed was a portal and some more glyphs, and I try to load up the game and it deleted hours of my progress, I saved multiple times and it’s probably because I warped around too much but idc, hate this and will never do it again, but your video helped a lot and I thank you

bro ive been playing this game for like 4 days and some random guy gave a void egg to my and i didn't understand half of what you sad....

Newish player and didn't know it was considered an exploit, but you can still upgrade storage and tech slots if the ship is selected when you upgrade freighter bulkheads.

Man I'm glad I got a mod to just make them purchasable

Skipped the most important part... How do you find the portal to enter the glyphs?! Edit: For anyone looking for the portal. You dont need 100 of those stupid maps like everyone seems to keep saying you do to just go location to location... you only need 1. You locate a alien structure and after you do whatever insane thing it wants you to do... You talk to it again and then give it whatever item it asks for and then it will just give you the location of the closest portal.

You just blew my mind! I has no idea that you could upgrade living ship upgrades. LOL! I’m going through the whole thing again in my biggest save because I’ve never done it there, but this is the only thing that kept me from continuing to do it. How I didn’t notice, I don’t know. It’s clearly right there on the upgrade!! I also did not know that they wouldn’t break when going through a black hole or traveling to another galaxy!

I did the quest, at the conclusion of which, no living ship. just a broken pos C class explorer. reloaded the game. no ship. restarted playstation. no living ship. went to different coordinates. no living ship. enabled online and rinse-repeat. NO SHIP. followed other coordinates to other systems. followed markers to other living ship locations. no ship. followed every piece of advice i could find online. no ship. followed every suggestion, both ino threads, and in youtube videos. (No actual videos exists in which this problem is discussed or directly attended to.) no gddam. 6 days of doing the quest. followed every step i was expected to. no gddam ship. Thoroughly infuriated. Such a bog should even exist. If so, should have been fixed a year ago when it was a thing. I'm half a second, half a milimeter away from deleting game. (This isn't thie first time the game had outright denied me something i earned through following in-game procedures.) I would ask for help, but what could you possibly do to help. just thought to put it out there that sometimes, things just don't work. sometimes, you don't/won't get what you work so hard to achieve.
