We all thought we were bad at the dirt hills one day back in 1983, until a super confident, longer haired older dude rode up on a baby blue Quadangle with Redline cranks, cleared a massive triple and rode off like nothing. Never had seen an SE until that day. Still think that was the coolest dude on the planet.

SE put the dude on the payroll STAT! Rides for the right reasons. Seems like a great guy. Rock On.

Been in the SE family since the 70's and got one of the 1st "mini ripper" Scott Perry aka "PK" treated us like family still cherish the old photos

This guy is so cool, he’s at the stage in life to where he can make a difference in the world and give something back to society while at the same time he’s also doing what he wants to do and what he love’s doing at the same time. That is the mark of a rich person, he’s rich in life. And bless his daughter for wanting to have a bit more of his attention, and being a bit up set. But now in life she see’s the positive effect he has on society and the value he has in being able to help others when they need it. And that’s made her be one of the happiest people in the world because she realised that her farther is able to help people in need, to have a better life. Hopefully I’ll soon be in a position to be doing what I love for a living and make people happy at the same time.

Damon, you are THE MAN! Much respect and I couldn't agree with you more. Kudos to you for promoting recreation. These kids are going to remember your efforts throughout their lives. Awesome!

Bro this touched me on so many levels. Always was a bmx/freestyle head.. i fixed all the kids bikes growing up. I hung w the older crowd as a kid and always got to buy there bikes when they got there licenses. Later I got into motocross heavy, then mustangs and slab cars and then Harley’s ..the mechanical side of everything. On a side note somewhere in the middle I melted down due to an addiction to opioids. I wasted almost a decade living 50$ at a time getting high. Iv been clean for 11 years and change now and started off restoring my first old mongoose villain freestyle bike.. then I recently bought a Trek marlin mtb, restored a cpl GTs I had stashed and now I’m going to find a local bike shop that sells SE If not I’m ordering a 29. I’m 36 and feel like I’m 14 every-time I’m on the bikes. With that said thanks for the video an what you do, now I’m gona take a nice night ride an practice my wheelies lol. You should too!

Wow the internet is so funny. I’ve been looking for my old bmx bike and now this video pops up for me to watch. I love your story you are an awesome guy for what you are doing for the kids praise God for you and your movement. I to am 49 and use to race at my local boys and girls club here in Florida back in the day. I wish I still had my Hutch because they are crazy expensive so definitely hold on to those SE because they will be a collectors item🙏🏾 keep doing what you are doing

RIP Scott Breithaupt. The dude was an unsung legend in the history of BMX. It's a real shame that he let the L.A. lifestyle eat him up in the end. He was one of BMX's founding fathers . Damon is carrying on all the good things that Scott did for the kids back in the early days. I'm 49 and in the UK, always loved the SE Bikes vibe when i was younger, so that's cool to see. BMX seems to be dying off a bit here in the UK, most kids are too lazy minded and soft nowadays and you have to put the effort in and take the knocks to get good on a bike. Kids aren't up for that. They are too buried in their mobile phone lives to notice real life pass them by. Life passes by very quickly if you let it, so beware kids.
