The Genesis G80 Electrified is a full electric version of the luxury sedan, but as it is on essentially the same platform as an internal combustion version...it definitely has some compromises. We get the same sleek new Genesis styling as other vehicles in their lineup, very nice interior materials, design and technology. Plus you can use this car as a giant remote control car (for parking reasons obviously). We spent some time living with this 2023 Genesis G80 Electrified AWD to see what it was like, enjoy this vlog!

Cool review. I agree, get the combustion engine. I found the biggest issue with EV’s during frigid conditions, they lose on average 30% range. Which means G80 electrified 282 miles range is actually well under 200 miles fully charged.

How does it not have a sunroof or panoramic glass roof? Some cool technology, but the park move with remote has got to be the lamest gimmick that no one uses

Two car trip opportunities and you leave the Electric G80 at home. Buddy drive the car, don't fly, take the EV not the ICE.

I actually rented a 2024 G80 for a week and was flabbergasted by the quality of the ride.

It’s just crazy how this electric still have range anxiety for a road trip just for a 600 mile trip we still have to switch for a gas car also affordable still not the case with these cars I’m not has of yet ready for electric car or suv hopefully in the future if someone comes out with a cheaper electric vehicle with 500 miles that’ll be amazing.

All EVs suck. Too expensive and limited charging stations create competition and availability issues when away from home - still paying to charge BTW. Hybids are the way to go - Half the cost, 50 mpg, self charging. There is no savings on maint cost when you factor all the BS and wasted time at charging stations.

Genesis is a nice car, you get alot for the price. But the interior just reminds me of my dad’s Buick from the 80’s.

The design just screams old man inside and out to me. The Chevrolet Blazer EV even has a luxurious electronic assisted charge port door for the price of this car it should have something a bit more upscale. The tech is very gimmicky instead of being useful and intuitive.
