I bred, raised and rescued Newfies for 15 yrs. Bhaaloo is a nice male. He has a great head piece. He is still a pup at 2 yrs. old. I would love to hug him... they are the best huggers. Thank you for sharing him with all of us and telling us about the breed. People are always amazed when they see a Newfie walking down the street.I use to love the looks on their faces. My Faith lived for 14.5 yrs, she was a Landseer. Faith was the most gentle, loving and loyal creature I have every known. We miss her terribly each and every day.
Tormented Soul thank you so much! They sure are an amazing breed and wow over 14yrso that’s amazing! We’re always praying for long (healthy) lives for our dogs. It is so funny like you say to see people’s faces and looks, especially currently in Texas they’re not a common breed so it’s always a lot of questions to follow lol but of course he loves the attention 🤣
Absolutely beautiful! We had a Newfie when I was a little girl and his name was Lonesome and he was the best, most loyal dog. I still remember the day he passed away and all these many years later, I’ve never forgotten him. If I had a big yard, it would be a Newfie all the way for me. ❤️
Dont leash pull, Newfs will rebel. talk alot, they love that, tone of voice and always the same. They relate to you and need boundries. Love jumps are BEAUTIFUL, but they should be controlled with the "hands down" , NEVER open arms, they will jump!! roll over is WONDERFUL, let them do it. They are welcoming you. Groom them, with combing, they want it, NEED it as it removes dead skin, and old hair, in non molting times or not (its not a question of them getting used to it, they NEED it" Plus grooming is a shower for them. like for us humans NEVER leave a NEWF alone. They are team animals and need you and the rest of the team. DONT take a NEWF if you want them as a yard , or garden dog.
We've always had a newfie in the household. This is a breed for people that love them & understand that the newfy is your lifestyle not for people that think they will fit in yours
@@ari.alvarez-tostado Loved your video & that is why I commented initially! My wife grew up in Canada where if not newfs should be the national dog &she turned me onto this incredible companionand we've never been without one since. They do not like to be alone thus why I said they are your life style (family member)
Thanks for the video! Very informative. We got a Newfie a week ago. She is 10 weeks old and gorgeous, but she already is really strong. In 5 days at home with us, she learnt a lot, she is beginning to listen to us and to be ok in the leash, getting better everyday. But it is challenging, like all puppies, but with this size more. She is constantly drinking and peeing, drinking and peeing, outside if we are fast or inside, she cries and cries at night...nights are a party in my house now...but she is the sweetest kindest girl ever. Love her to bits! She tries to please, as you say, but still stubborn. The only problem I see with her in the future is her strength. My hands are not well, I have Arthritis, but we are committed to train and train her as much as we need to prevent pulling and jumping and all that. We are already doing it and she is doing fantastic,! Such a smart little bear. I can not stop to look at her face. She is so beautiful, and so good. Thank you so much for your video, it is helping a lot new owners like me. Thank you!
Bhaaloo is beautiful I have an 11 year old Newf Remy, and he reminds me of your baby. Yes they love there people mine doesn't take his eye off of me he follows me everywhere. Thank you for sharing your fur baby.
JAZZY GAL aaa thank you so much!! 11 years that’s amazing! They really are such amazing dogs and i personally love having him as my shadow lol never feel alone ❤️
@@ari.alvarez-tostado he looks like a golden retriever but he is full black with some white spots and with wider head slightly bigger body and he is now 15,5 years old 🥰
Awhhh, this makes me feel so nostalgic!!! I grew up with a Golden Newfie (Golden Retriver + Newfoundland), she died in 2014, 12 years old and she was seriously my best friend. It doesnt go a day Without thinking about her, its like a little piece of my heart missing 😭❤️
I have real difficulty to explain to people how difficult they are. They are have enormous needs, and they are beautiful, but my day, the entire day, is around the Newf, BUT. I have never had a dog like a Newfie. I spend 12 hours a day interacting with a Newf. BUT, I am totally in love..These are amazing dogs..I talk to her, I have long conversations when she gets stubborn.I have long conversations all the time.. At first I felt stupid.... then I understood its normal.. I have looked after Rotties, Alsations, Bulldogs, savaged and mistreated dogs, Guard dogs, Spaniels, Labs, Retrievers, Dachs, poodles, and the rest. BUT, A NEWF IS SPECIAL... and needs you...and you will find that is the a most best payback in the world..THEY ARE AMAZING
Scotti medolla yes totally!!! This is exactly what I try to explain to people who have never had a newfie. They are very hard to keep and maintain healthy but if you’re truly committed it’s totally worth it
@@ari.alvarez-tostado yes. Its a work of love, its total commitment. Its a joy for dog lovers. But in my case, she is not a dog, she is a strange tug at my heart, and every day i spend my time looking after her. And im only the dog walker!
I have two Newfie/Lab mixed dogs, both 3yrs old. The male is 130lbs and female is 115 lbs. It’s a great mix. Calmer than labs and less grooming than newfies, but they shed like crazy. They basically look like short haired newfies/giant labs. They are beautiful and amazing dogs, and yes they are definitely a lot of work. Big dogs with big personalities. My life completely revolves around them, but they are totally worth it. They just want to be a part of your life. They want to be with you, wherever you are, and whatever you are doing, they want to be there.....so it’s not the dog for you if you are going to just leave them at home all the time. They are also messy, so you have to be prepared to clean them and clean up after them. Aside from the shedding, they drool, they leave big muddy paw prints, and if you don’t give them enough exercise they can get destructive. I had to learn their limits and learn how to understand what they want. They actually communicate with you and my male is quite mouthy. Newfoundlands or Newfie mixes are definitely my breed of choice going forward.
Great video! Very informative and true to life. Newfies are slobber factories and a lot of what you have about care and potential health issues is spot on. We've had 4 of these loving dogs and would not trade those times with them for anything. Still have two running around home and living the good life. Nice that you brought up the shaving thing as that's a fairly regularly question I get when out with them in public during the summer.
Loved my Newfie, he was 11 1/2 when he passed away. I must find another and looking. Thor could jump in the passenger seat without help and that was his place. Lots of walking and some free runs helped keep him healthy. He wasn't a big eater. He loved Tamales but but not dog food so much so I mixed Costco chicken with his food. Just great loving friends , but lots of hair and slobs, they are full time.. I had to block the TV so he couldn't knock it over.
aaaw! same bhaaloo was a handful especially when they grow up so fast and it gets tough to control haha but they are the best! there's another video on things to focus on when training a newfie. And I love your GR! that was my childhood dog and I loved him so so much!
I am impress with how healthy and shiny you upkeep his coat!! You must be very sharp in the knowing what kind of diet for him and the grooming products!!
What a handsome guy! I had my own Newfie named Baloo (like Jungle Book) and he was a goofy boy that loved to take a nap with you if you laid on the floor. He passed many years ago as an old man after almost 14 years of life, but my love for the breed has never died.
@@ari.alvarez-tostado The last 3 years were not the easiest, but he did not have any real mobility issues until the last few months. His loss was hard for me as I had him since I was 15 years old. Quite literally my best friend, and I haven't had another dog since.
Newfies are the best, but the most difficult to keep. I LOVE Newfies, but I have time to take to care for them. The are really difficult, but amazing!!
Scotti medolla what we are looking for is a large breed that is gentle with other animals (we have cats) and is not too active as that would fit our lifestyle better. We do work full time but I have decent flexibility with my work schedule and am not far from home. Our main interests were Bernese mountain dog or Great Pyrenees but I was seeing what people have to say about other breeds as well
Audrey Elizabeth sounds like a newf would suit your lifestyle. they don’t need too much exercise as they’re a big breed and it’s not good for their joints, 1-2 decent walks a day. id try and sort out with your work if you could come home half way through the day at lunch time or something just to check on the dog and let him out or get a friend/family to check on him. you’ll need to get him professionally groomed sometimes unless you have the facilites to do that yourself. regular brushing to prevent his long coat from getting matted and he needs a good diet.
"Most difficult to keep" I'm not sure about that. We've had Old English Sheepdogs and Great Danes and are looking at a Newfie for our next dog. In terms of grooming, I think the OES takes the prize for difficulty but, for me, it was a good bonding time. Our Dane drooled like a champ. I think we're prepared.
I have had 5 Newfs. The last 3 the house breaking took one night and a day. The breeder was 5 to 6 hour drive. I would have a good size crate for the puppy in the back seat. Kept the radio low or off while driving so I could talk to and hear the puppy. As soon as the puppy started whining I would stop at a rest area and let the puppy out lots of praise and some play. At home 🏡, now night bring in the crate , one last bathroom break. Sleep, next to the crate with hand in the crate as much as possible. Any whining get up go side. Morning and that pay close attention to needing to be taken out. Puppy is now house broken.
13:11 🐾 I have unfolding stairs (brand Petloader) that are sturdy but are supported by the tailgate. Although I can get them in place quickly, it is still time consuming when compared to just lifting the dog. The dogs tend to see ramps as leaning walls so they take to stairs a bit better. If the dog is spazzing out it difficult to set stairs in place whilst controlling them. It's much easier if you puppy train dogs like this to take to floating stairs and walkways. I watched a 90+ pound rottweiler (with more of a doberman build) that was instantly in the back of my SUV, without any prompting or difficulty, but most dogs at that weight threshold aren't high jumpers. I wonder if jumping-up could be trained into those molosser breeds or if they are just too physically inept; age, weight, and injury would be of concern. I have watched really old dogs that have surprised me with their physicality. *_FUN FACT:_*_ People who have never hurt their back while lifting will assume that they are immune until they aren't. Strengthening your stomach wall will help protect you from hernias and back trouble._ 😁
good thing im doing ALOT of research before weget our newfie😂😂❤❤ took me 2 years to know everything about the newfoundlands❤❤ and even took me few months to decide if we have time😂 i even took my mom and dads schedule and looked at it to see how long are gonna be gone from home and our future dog😂😂 btw im so proud to get my very own puppy Again!!! my other dogs gad passed away😭 but this time nobody is gonna agrue whos dog it is bc im getting a dog with my very own money❤❤😆😭 so proud of myself i actually planed this 2 years ago😅😂 i worked hard and thought about getting a dog...i work every summer🤗 i earned ALOT and saved it🤗🤗❤i looked at ALOT of differrnt kinds of breed and just imedietly fell in love with newfie! thatd why im choosing a newfie🤗 i even consideres how much will it be if i buy a puppy, their toys, training tools, fence, crate, Vet check ups, daily food, grooming tools, towels(since they drool ALOT, but also for bath towels), a dryer (after bath), walking tools and treats!!! i even searched alot about how i can handle big dogs while taking them on walk (incase mine goes to excited and drags me across the road😂😂😭😭) oof i feel so excited getting my puppy soon!!! i cant wait!!! although i might not get alot of sleep... thats why im considering getting the puppy in summer so i wil have time to prepare him get him used to be with us get comfortable with crate and all others begginer puppy advice ive watched in yt and goigle... and also get him used to be left alone for a few hours since i will have school after summer.. im concidering getting a dog sitter or just maybe leave him at dogcare just for a few hours...just incase the dogsitter will steel my precius bear!!! ooof it is sooo good to get all of this info out😂😂 this was all ive been thinking for the past 2 years😂😂😂
i'm not a huge fan of the look of newfies honestly but in my search for the perfect breed for my life they're really the only breed that shows up to all my stops😅 i'm in the process of preparing to purchase and train a newfoundland as a service dog and i've heard amazing things from newfoundland service dog handlers but i think my concerns would be them looking scary to people in public ( landseers look less intimidating since the white breaks up the bear look a little )
Anna Rue yes they’re amazing!! The only thing I’ve noticed is they draw a lot of attention we’ve considered getting him a do not pet best lol because everyone wants to pet him and takes pics lol also some airlines can be a bit difficult about the size when traveling especially in the US 🤗 but amazing dogs!
Ari Alvarez-Tostado oh yeah ! 😂 i've had a service dog once before , i made custom service, emotional support and therapy dog gear so making the capes and vests for my future newf service dog will definitely be a fun adventure
I had a Landseer Newfie and people stopped on their tracks all the time because of how large he was lol He was the gentlest thing ever. I don't think he could ever hurt an ant or something.
Yes they are a very special breed. We started with a black and white landseer, then a white and gray landseer, than a chocolate now finally a brown and white landseer they are a very loving bunch! Wouldn't have anything else!! Thanks for sharing! 🐶🐶🐶🐶
Good video! Very informative. I do have to say that they can be good living in apartments BUT you will have to take them out for a good walk or to the dog park daily for exercise.
They make really good fold up ramps for dogs to walk up into the back of your vehicle so you won't have to lift them up. Older people can have them, they don't require a ton of exercise and like with any very large dog you train them not to pull when they are young. The biggest issue is the heat, they do not like heat and it isn't good for them. I live in Canada so of course, they fit in perfectly here and are not a rare breed where we live.
Hi Ari (and the rest of our audience!) I am in the research phase and would like to ask a few questions: - You stressed diet a few times. How much and how often do you feed Bhaaloo? What is the best food you would recommend? - You also stressed exercise. We do not have a large yard, but we are only a few miles from a very nice (and very large) beach. Question: Can a Newfie go into the ocean and if they can, will they require a bath after to remove anything that may irritate their skin?
Diet: I would definitely talk to your vet and breeder about this I am no expert, we are currently feeding purina pro plan large breed. As for how much and how Ofer it really depends, as puppies it’s 3 times a day as adults it can be twice a day or one (in our case. Amount really depends on each dog. They can settle between 5-8 cups a day of dry food. Again check with vet. - exercise is needed for newfs, good walks at their pace never over doing it - as fast as swimming in the ocean I personally would definitely recommend rinsing them very well to get sand and salt water off. Not sure if they would need a full bath but definitely a thorough rinse/brush/dry
Bhaaloo is beautiful! Our family got our first great dane+American bulldog puppy and we've had him for 5 years and decided to get another newfie+great dane mix
Sorry Ruby, That's incorrect. The proper way to pronounce Newfoundland is, "Newf~in~land". Say it fairly quickly and make it rhyme exactly with "understand" and you'll have it right. I'm from Newfoundland and I can assure you, that's how it's spoken by people here. Definitely, no "Fin" , "Lind" or "Lund" sound.
Hi, I enjoyed your video and like your dog. I've had four Newfs in my life one at a time. My last one died last fall so I am just starting to look for number 5. They are the best but you covered some of the downsides very well.
Hi Ari, Thank you for trying to solicit the proper pronunciation of Newfoundland from your viewers. From watching the dozens of clips on this site featuring the Dog, it's clear hardly anyone has it right, but your the only one who seems to care. So, here goes; Uttered correctly, it should sound like "Newf~in~land". Say it rapidly and make it rhyme with "understand". It's easy. There should be no "Fin" or "Lund" sound at all. On a related matter: Many, many people also refer to their dog as a Newfie. I'm from Newfoundland and my wife and I had a big beautiful male like yours. The thing is, in Newfoundland the vast majority of the natives dislike the nickname Newfie. The ones that use it themselves are usually the uneducated, slack-jawed type. Many other Canadians will use the word in a hurtful way to put us down. The reasons for this are complicated but if you ever visit Newfoundland you can ask anyone to explain it. Just think if Pakistan had a national dog and its name was similarly shortened. I don't think RU-vid would let you post a video using that. Thanks again for caring.
It seems my story. After loose the first one of two years old after kidney insufficiency I got the new pup. Exactly the opposite of the first: an handful!
im so sorry! I think we also forget what it's like to have a puppy around the house. We just got a new puppy (video coming soon) and now bhaaloo is completely trained and pefect around the house lol - good luck with the new pup!! and congrats!
Sonali Gada hi did! Bhaaloo was a very active puppy and being a single pup he didn’t have anyone to take out his energy with except me haha but he chewed several shoes and remotes also the jumping was an issue. I have a second video on training giant breed dogs and u talk about the jumping. As far as chewing. We tried to have his toys around so he didn’t feel the need to chew shoes. For a time we couldn’t leave anything laying around. Also if they have something you don’t want them to chew trade it for one of their toys, check my second video it may be helpful but I’m happy to help anyway
daypasser11 wow that’s good to know! I’ve always heard it was bred to be able to pull people out from cold seas but it totally makes sense about the fishing nets too
@@Biscuit9891 actually brown is recognized, the combination that is not approved is white and brown. Although the classics are black and landseer. images.akc.org/pdf/breeds/standards/Newfoundland.pdf
We had goofy newfies from 83 to 09. The first one was incredibly intelligent and strong. They have a great sense of humor. I miss them but the tick diseases are too dangerous now. The vaccination does not work. Good Luck, Rick
it's true you really have to be on top of them and the vet bills are not cheap. we have bhaaloo on a monthly flea and tick treatment to keep him safe but you really have to commit. And be careful about their outdoor activities
@@ari.alvarez-tostado The monthly treatment didn't seem to last the full month. There ia a tick disease in our area now, that is so bad, it can kill in three weeks. It got my wife 2 years ago. Good Luck, Rick
Im truly sorry! So happy we don’t live in an area with this. But I really appreciate learning about it so we can be more vigilante. Best of luck to you too!
@@ari.alvarez-tostado Thanks. There is a lot of cases of tick diseases now. Eight other people in our county died of tick diseases in 2017. Many more were hospitalized. The government does not seem to publicize it. The best defence that I have found is to spray my yard and along my driveway in April. I use the Cutter yard spray that goes on the end of a garden hose. I go 100' out from the house all around. I seems to last until late July. I don't spray again until the hard frost. I don't want to hurt the honey bees so my spraying is before there are flowers and after the flowers are gone. The ticks are moving all around the country. Good Luck, Rick
Had 3 newfies in my life and they are hair shedders. You must be able to tolerate that. Watching newfie videos, they all seem to have similar behaviors in many ways. The definitely do not do well in hot summer. Mine always went and hid in the coolest part of the basement when it was hot. (Hot means over 80F). They need another dog to play with unless you can devote 3-4 hours a day to burning them out.
John pan hi! I don’t see why not, I know people that have them in LA I would just advise you are prepared to have them indoors in hot days 🤗 sorry i didn’t mention our breeder he is very particular about his dogs
@@ari.alvarez-tostado Thank you for response. Well if I decide to have a pair of them, I will keep them inside but when you take them out for walking, it maybe too hot for them. By the way I don't know why I thought your name is Arpi :-)
John pan you’ll just have to time your walks to when it’s cooler. Like we walk bhaaloo early mornings during summer or at night. You’ll just have to adjust 🤗 no worries about the name
You can follow me on IG or DM me on there 🤗 just a little heads up a lot of breeders won’t sell there dogs to Texas unfortunately since it’s not easy for them there.
I was a groomer for about 5 years and groomed 2 newfies sometimes in one day i didnt get home till about 8 and I started at 10. I did shave them not that I wanted to but it was thier request and my god there hair grew back Id see them every 3 months I miss Miss Charlotte she use to hate the hair dryer on her head but she came a long way and eventually let me do it she was such a sweet girl she loved the tub and would just walk right up the stairs for me She was never matted Thier Male Sebastion I always shaved his belly they were not cut short let me tell you so much thick hair lmao
that's so sweet!! yes some do grow back their exact fur but my friend's was shaved and never grew back the same. I think if you have to shave them that's ok, I just like to make a point that it's not a breed to get like oh i'll just shave him down like a poodle so I dont have to deal with the fur. bhaaloo is similar he loves water and actually loves his groomer. but the dryer he does it for me lol it's like "fine i'll let you dry me" haha
@@ari.alvarez-tostado Oh absolutely I had a Border Collie that came in that had nothing but undercoat left that's all that grew back and was always shaved she was thick sure but all undercoat no guard hair .I hope to add a Newfie to my household one day. smart loyal sensitive they just like you said have a lot of hair and there's also the drool thing that happened a lot on my head while working under Neath their male Sebastian he liked to hang his big ol afro head .And it was the funnuest thing .Keep a hand towel handy I say to wipe thier flews hahaha great video your dog is lovely
Heidi Ackley hi! I don’t like to talk about priced because so many over charge even when they’re not reputable but usually 2-3k similar to most purebreds 🤗
Hi my name is Kathie and I am going soon to meet the parents and put my deposit down on my bestie puppy. Could you please tell me what the name o of the heart condition is so I can ask the breeder about any family history of it and if that is something they check for. I haven't come across it in the research I have done. I will be training him as my service dog to help me with my balance and mobility
Kathie Emerick hi!! Omg so exciting! So it’s a congenital heart desease (I believe it’s a form of aortic stenosis) that is passed down to puppies, and may cause serious issues as they get older. Your breeder should do a heart test at around 8 weeks old (or so not sure) and he should give you the results. This is one of the main congenital issues Newfies have and I would definitely ask him for the results. It’s usually a vet certificate and he should give it to you or at least show it when you pick up you puppy, even if there are no family members with it or any family history it is one of those things you have to check for in the breed, just like genetic hip and back problems 🤗 hope this helps!
Ibett Saldate jajaja si es bilingüe 😂 de hecho todo lo que son sus órdenes se las sabe en inglés tipo: sit, stay, wait etc. Pero también entiende métete, siéntate y etc jaja la mayoría de las cosas las entiende en español
hi, so commands in english are a lot shorter and easier to learn. for example stay in spanish would be "quedate" or something. We all speak spanish at home so a lot of times we do say some commands in spanish so he picks up on them. sorry so to answer you question he was trained with the basic commands in english and the rest are the words they pick up at home and daily life :)
chelsea brown you need to work with them as puppies to teach them not to pull so hard. But still if he sees a squirrel it’s a tough hold haha that’s why I usually recommend older people or if you’re fraile to be careful. I would not let my grandmother walk him 😂
I love your attempts but you miss the point, these dogs are really difficult, if you start from scratch with a Newf, you seriously wont understand what you have in your hand. I have looked after Rotties, Alsations, Dobs , Labs, Retrievers etc. Newfs are not he same. They are not an easy dog. They are a way of life, they are almost human. I spend 6 hours a week on combing. They matt, they feel uncomfortable. They need cool climates, they need water. They need to swim. But they are the best dogs in the world. They bond with humans. BUT what you say is the sales of a Newf. Dont do that. They need special care.
Scotti medolla that’s exactly what I talk about in my video. I want people to know that newfs are not just cute and fluffy, it’s a lot of care and definitely a huge commitment and way of life. Sorry you missed the point of my video, but actually everything you say is exactly what I say in the video 🤗
@@ari.alvarez-tostado ok and welcome to the Newf world of wonder, Italian style, the NEWF is a status symbol. I get up every day, think about the princess, I look at the weather , think about the princess, I phone the owner and ask if I can take the princess out for walkies, i get permission to take the princess out, if i get a reply, (the children first); Nobody takes the Newf out. But me. winter and summer, if the owner remembers the Newf once a year they do a 10 minute walk. . I am the next door neighbour. I do this free, 4 times a week I take the Newf out. Otherwise the newf is left in the court yard for 3 months in the summer at 38° C. No love no walkies, the children are at home so..... no walkies,,, children first. The Newf is a guard dog for the children!!! BIG DOG! Must be good!. Italian style. Its a status symbol. Ive a Newf!! Im important like Armani. Simple , wear it. This season only. In the meantime I have a dog sitter, just as well I dont have to pay, or my children have to "dirty their hands if the Newf is to close". I love the NEWF, she is mine. But Italians are not dog owners, they are collectionists of Beautiful Things.
This is one of the problems I have with social media. It's a place where there are no crying babies. Only happy, smiling, clean babies that say cute things. Same goes for dogs. No one wants to show their dog chewing on their 1987 World Series baseball broken from its protective case. Nor the drool or dragging their butt across the living room floor. I have seen grooming videos, bringing my puppy home videos, training tutorials, introducing my pup to our cat videos, but never a day in the life of being a pet parent to a Newf. SOMEBODY (hint, hint) needs to make a video showing the real raw footage of what it means to live with this giant breed. You would be doing a public service bc for every cute puppy pic you have posted or cute IG story told there is some idiot who has done zero research on the breed and just goes out any buys one. Just like the geniuses that buy Dalmatians every time Disney releases a reboot of 101 Dalmatians.
I totally agree, this is why even though my channels are not “dog channels” I’ve wanted to share more about the breed. Also why I never share breeder info because it requires a lot of research and if I do get any questions I’m brutally honest about how they’re not for everyone. If you’re newer to my channels I do share in my Instagram stories all the messy parts the drool on my shoes and in other videos I actually do show footage of his drool on my pillow and walls. Again I believe this is an amazing breed but not easy at times 🤗 thanks for your comment if you stick around here or my Instagram you’ll see more of the daily shenanigans
Eden D I have to honest, they do, a lot! They’re not the most slobbery breed out there and Some may drool more than others but in general it is a slobbery breed.
Kacia Wager personally I wouldn’t but I also don’t know what part of Florida you’re in. The thing is with such a heavy coat with the heat and humidity they really struggle but that’s just my personal opinion 🤗 when it’s super hot and humid here in Texas his skin really gets irritated but he suffers from bad skin allergies ... again very sensitive skin 😘
Sorry Hun average 8/10. If you can get them to 10 you've done well if you get to 12 you've done amazingly well.... But beware to have your heart ripped out when they die... We lost our boy one month ago... It's been hell.....
Simon Price sorry to hear that. We’ve had luck with out breeders most of their elders are averaging 10-12 but for most cases 10 is about the max. Our dog’s grandad is pushing 13! Of course he’s slower lol
Enjoyed your video very much. We just lost our 3rd Newfie (Abby) in May 2023 from Stage 4 Kidney Failure. She was 10 1/2 years old. The one before her (Breeanna) lived until 11 1/2 years old and the one before her (Kellsey) lived until 5 years old. Kellsey passed because of meds that were not monitored correctly by the Vet we used at that time. We are in our mid 60's and still deciding whether or not to get one last Newfie. Here is one of 2 videos I did for Abby after she passed (it is my other YT channel) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8yfzFRpspwA.htmlsi=P2EUpHDA1wnmWshP
Me da mucho gusto saber que te sirve. So sorry they're not right for you, but it's such a responsible move to accept when a breed is not right for us. Maybe in the future :)
