Living with Depression 

My childhood was a lot like yours. I had a lot of childhood friends that eventually ended up the same way. Thanks for sharing your story. Depression can hit you up whenever, lows and highs to outside people. Big ups for offering an ear.

I know where your coming from mate and that took guts. This last year has been really hard for me and the worst is still to come but i know I've got the support of friends and family and close mates. Wiithout them I'd be a basket case.... or worse. Thanks for doing this Spikey. Ride Safe fella.

my mrs suffers from Depression as her sister was Murdered when she was 13 and my mrs was just 2 and then my mrs lost her brother and dad etc all close so by the age of 9-10 she had lost alot of her family all so close. Her depression is getting worse as the man that murdered her sister is getting outa jail soon so she panicing more. Depression is such a Evil illness i hope everyone that has it lives there life to the full and as hard as it is try to be happy and think of the better stuff you have instead of the Bad. Thank you for uploading this Spikey* :3 I really do appreciate it. I'm 16 and have been living with depression myself for 4/5 years and it has been fucking shit. I'm also an atheist so I realise that I only have one go at this, one time on this earth and in this life and the fact that I'm being depressed, rejected by everyone and simply not enjoying life makes me even more depressed. Even at this young age I have countless regrets and honestly, see no hope. I've thought about killing myself literally countless times but I've never had a means of doing it which I thought would be the best (I would only do it with a gun tbh) plus I would hate to think what affect it would have on my family so even if me feeling shit keeps them happy then that is a good enough reason to stay alive. There's been times where I've been incredibly depressed, numb, sick, barely have the energy to have a conversation with someone.. ._. I've never really had any mates, definitely not any close ones, but there's been some who I would go out and smoke weed with which is something which helped me immensely; to just escape depression for even a few hours was incredible. They don't really drink, I've never and never will be a fan of alcohol and nor do I smoke but weed has helped me for sure and really makes you see the point in life but I don't really smoke it now since I'm not really friends with them anymore. I simply don't seem to compute with this world. I'm not problem child, I like to think I'm nice, good to talk to etc and I'll happily be friends with everyone but everyone just seems to hate me and I've never really had a proper relationship with my parents which always makes me feel bad. The fact that I can't get in to a relationship with a girl always makes me feel like utter shit... There'll be a girl who I think is absolute perfection but she'll just completely ignore me and go for some dickhead who'll just fuck her off eventually.. I wish I could cuddle up with a girl I love, spend time with, possibly make love to her but that'll never happen with me... Which again, just makes my depression even worse. It's kind of awful waking up and feeling like your life is over already and that you've blown the once chance at life when you're only 16 :'c. The only thing which is keeping me going is the hope that I'll get my YZF in early September (currently got a job) and that one day I'll be riding around in America, working and living there with friends and a happy family, completely disconnected to the life I have now.... But there's days where I feel like I might as well just end because no one would care ._. Sorry for writing so much, just nice to finally get the chance to get it off my chest and it's strange how writing it all out makes me cry :( Thanks Spikey*

That's why people shouldn't be so judgmental of others because they don't always know what others are going through. Coming off of the heels of Jesse's death, this is important and timely. I know that this is not the easiest topic to talk about. But you stepping out there like this is huge. Much respect. Thanks for Sharing Spikey. Its such a horrible illness. My brother went through severe anxiety brought on by IBS(hes had a lot of help and is much better now.) My work colleagues son is going through depression and sounds like what you went through, hes getting professional help but its an ongoing battle.

Wow man! Brought a tear to my eye. I've been through a rough patch some years ago, but not to the same extent. You have come out of it and stronger for it. You will and you already do appreciate life like most people never will ! Great to hear your story Bro. (Sorry late in catching up with vids)

Blimey, Spikey that must have taken some guts to come out with that. I can't imagine what it's like, it seems to be such a common thing and I count myself lucky that I've not had to go through such a tough time. You're a good man, well done for putting this out there and offering to help others.

Fist bump pal, that takes balls and you could hear it in your voice it wasn't easy. But you done good and look at the life you have now, remember there is plenty out there who give a shit even if you don't think there is. Nice choice with 2pac.

My story is similar to yours and was diagnosed with Psychotic Depression at about 14. I ended up in a secure unit at about the age of 23 and have the illness for life. Not a lot of help as there used to be years ago as society and gvt policy has turned their backs on the ill and disabled as a whole. The only time society wakes up is when someone is out of control and ends up killing or badly hurting someone. After a while you learn to live with it and know when you need help.

Thanks spikey for uploading this emotional subject for you. Very brave. You'll have no idea how many people it will help. But I bet you it will help at least somebody. Good job mate. Although its not easy and takes a lot of strength and willpower, always remember Depression is a state of mind, you always have the ability to change your mind, its not and never has been a fixed thing, it can be manipulated. Happiness is a state of mind, you don't have to rely on outside objects or situations in order to feel and be happy. Think of something that makes you happy, take away the something and hold the feeling or thought of happiness. See its free. I'm not saying things and objects can't make you happy, they can for a while, they are transitory sense pleasure, if man created something that makes you eternally happy, then that man would be King. Trouble in this age is that most the crap we are told will make us happy, actually never lives up to the expectations and that makes us depressed. Not achieving or advancing also makes us depressed. However, when we finally get "somewhere" we are still or even more depressed. Everything depends on the mind........ Om Mani Padme Hum.....

I've been living with it since '09 (fb me and ill let you know the story) was starting to get better, then I had my accident in July, felt to guilty, scaring my family like that then a few weeks, maybe month ago I crashed a car, mums car, almost killed myself when this beautiful pug 306 flew through the air, had nightmares about if I had a passenger with me and the depression came crashing back, fighting to keep the wrists clean but I'm getting there, refuse to hit the wall again, I will not give in, peace and love Spikey, ever feel down drop me a message :)

i suffer from this, im 15 and my mum had always had problems with drink and smoking, it was her fault buy i still loved her. she died on 6th of march from broncho neumonia last year and i never really had a good conversation with her and i couldnt even say good bye because i didnt get to the hospital. i feel so sad all the time knowing that nothing can be done to bring her back. If i can give advice to anyone i would say, you might have arguments with a loved one and very mean things can be said but please make up and say you love them because you never no what is going to happen.

I'm suffering from depression and anxiety and massive panick attacks and my main concern is taking my cbt in September as I will be 17 and be going to do my cbt on a 125, any advice on a cheap 125cc and cheap clothing for bike websites??
