You have a half dozen tea lights, just put a baking cooling rack over a bread or cake pan with a few tea lights lit in pan and use regular pan to heat up pre-cooked can food. have to realize in the days before electricity was discovered, many families would simply go to bed when the sun went down, back awake when the sun rose. Shops were open from 8am to 5pm only, and Sundays was a day to go to church and nothing was open. Meals were cooked on a wood or coal burning stove in the kitchen. Bedrooms and the family room were heated by fireplaces. Everybody used outdoor latrines behind the house, since indoor plumbing and flush toilets was something only the rich had. OH!!! the water came from a rain cistern or well underneath the house and hand pumped up to the kitchen sink.
