His comments on the Pilots user interface are absolutely spot on; Bell has really hit out of the park with the 505. I remember reading a comment from Hill Helicopters who said helicopter cockpits are agricultural and from the 1950s. The simple fly/Idle switch is genius, and the integration of the Garmin systems is very impressive. The cockpit is beautiful and as an asset for safe flight. It's very daunting for a learner to step into a Eurocopter or AW with a forest of switches and instruments. It's 2023, not 1950. Well done, Bell and good luck, Hill Helicopters.

Nicely done, thanks. In term of power, I found that the 206B III I used to fly would be torque-limited if say, taxiing downwind (four up and light on fuel). How would the 505 compare?

Hi Bob thanks for your comment, you will find with the 505 that due to the additional power it's nothing like the 206 when taxiing down wind, with the additional power you have so much more available torque so that you don't get anywhere near the limit when taxiing.
