It's very sweet how beautiful the sunlight gently touches Sweden in the north. Sometimes, I envy how the sun can shine softly due to your position far in the north, making the golden hour light feel like it lasts 24 hours there. I, living near the equator, experience the full power of the sun, a sun that can scorch anything, and its light can sometimes be too intense. However, the sun never rises for more than 12 hours throughout the year and never changes between the lengths of day and night. That's how nature grants us fairness.

You have a perfect perspective on the world. I get very emotional while listening to you and telling us about your connection with the world. I hope one day I can see what you see, and I hope that, as sometimes happens, I can't hold back my tears in front of a beautiful view and enjoy that moment that the world offers me.

Just was in Schweden (polar night). And it was incredible. Yes it was dark a lot, but the colors, when the sun rises almost is stunning. One of the most beautiful things, I have ever seen.

As a Swedish man, I can tell you that this video is all true. However, what Jonna is doing differently from most of us is that she utilizes the conditions to what they are. The rest of us hide in our warm homes during the cold times and complain about the cold. I wish we were more like Jonna. Detta är vackert, och detta är precis vad Sverige är, egentligen.

Thank you. I have dealt with dark winters all my life (Idaho, northern New York, Nebraska). This winter has been especially hard. I feel seasonal depression more than ever this year. But you put words to a thought that I’ve been having recently. Maybe I’m not depressed, it’s just…different. Tired. I have a lot to learn about accepting the differences and being okay with slowing down. I wish my line of work let me slow down a little more instead of acting like it should be the same the whole year. You have a beautiful home.

I am overjoyed to have discovered this video and your channel. I live on Lingít Aaní land in Juneau, Alaska--although the contrast of light between Summer and Winter is less extreme than in the far North (We have about 18 hours of Sun on the Summer Solstice and around 6 on the Winter Solstice), we are located within a coastal temperate rainforest, so it is raining *constantly.* A glimpse of the stars and the Northern Lights is a luxury rarely afforded to us alongside the darkness, and it is incredibly difficult. Southeast Alaska is also expected to see the most dramatic changes in days above freezing in the Winter in all of North America, so we are receiving less and less snow. I have considered the possibility of moving farther North for these reasons, though the abundant rain is necessary for the lush landscape I am blessed to call home. I nearly cried watching this video, and I cannot explain why. Perhaps it is that my Spirit recognizes the Swedish landscape as my ancestral homeland, or that the deep connection to the environment is something I am craving and missing as a University student. The beauty of your home and the landscape surrounding you is nearly unbelievable, and your filmmaking and storytelling made me feel, once again, that the hardship of living in the North is worth it. I feel an incredible appreciation for the Sun and the changing seasons after living here, and I feel so connected to share that experience with others--including you! Beautiful video, thank you. I live in the North of England and though we very rarely get the cold and snow because of the gulf stream keeping us warmer and wetter than a lot of Northern Europe, we do get the contrast between the light and length of the days throughout the year. I feel lucky and blessed to live somewhere that has such opposite seasons. My brithday is a couple of days before mid summers day and I love that I can be outside enjoying the sunlight until almost midnight and then it doesn't seem to get fully dark and is almost daylight again by 3am but I also love midwinter when we only have daylight between 10 and 3pm. And of course I love all the seasons as they are so diferent here.
