Living with the Ford F-150® Lightning® 

What shocks me is the tiny refrigerators you guys have over there!!! How can you keep enough food in the house for your family?!?!?! You must have to go to the store to replenish your groceries every other day! I have an indoor fridge + an outdoor fridge for my outdoor kitchen. Both are huge refrigerators & I sometimes run out of space! There are only 2 in my household, I weigh 112 lbs & the other human is thin as well. However, I do cook for my Lab, German Shepard & Blue Heeler. When I grill or use the Crock Pot/ Slow Cooker/ Pressure Cooker all that food must be stored somewhere! I also like to keep many drinks cold @ all times since I am in deep South Texas & it stays hot most of the time.

Only people who need to compensate for something drive these ridiculous "trucks"

@@danielbetancur1250 Not true!!! I have 3 fur babies: an 80 lb Lab, a German Shepherd & a Blue Heeler. They would be crowded in the back seat. Most households have @ least 2 humans . The Frunk is for the Ice Chest, groceries, golf clubs, tools, chairs for the beach, etc. The bed is for every trip I make to Home Depot, Lowes, Tractor Supply & much needed whenever I buy a Water Heater, washer, Dryer, Fridge Freezer, Dishwasher, Furniture,etc etc. The ground clearance is critical. You can't drive on the beach without excellent ground clearance. Also, I live in Texas, we get Hurricanes & storms that bring a lot of water. Try driving home in 6" deep of water! Watch the news, ever see cats on Houston Frwys. just floating away?!?! It happens all the time. Mother Nature is a powerful force to deal with! I am buying a 2025 model since I hear they are improving the range.

However, during the cold week of testing, the best average achieved was 1.8 miles/kWh during a 44-mile highway run at 16°F. I don't know if those numbers apply directly to the Lariat ER as its carrying extra weight in batteries.

Preheating the truck while charging makes winter road trips no problem. Set truck to finish charging at trip depart time.

The prices are coming down. I am getting one in 2025 (I hear Ford is extending the range) by then, the prices will be significantly improved. 2024 is the year of many repos of all makes & models since too many ppl. we're paying MSRP & above prices in 2021, 2022 & 2023.

You are looking at it wrong I feel. It is good to get many different perspectives from many different types of people! This lady probably has never driven a truck in her life and was able to handle it pretty easily! It shows it can be an everyday driver and not just a work truck! This is a brilliant move from Ford to move units!

No it is NOT!!! 2 humans in the front, Choco. Lab, German Shepherd & Blue Heeler in the back seats. A VERY TIGHT FIT & we don't even have human kids!!!!

We love our Lightning for month long retirement road trips that take lots of gear. Golf clubs. Bikes. Fishing gear. It all fits!!
