Living Without Knowing How to Live - The Paradox of Knowing in Not-Knowing
Unmani invites you to answer your deepest calling to wake up to your true self. For the past 12 years, Unmani has been working with all kinds of people, who have been deeply touched by her work. She meets each person exactly where they are at, and in whatever they need at the time, while at the same time holding them in the truth of who they really are beyond it all. This combination, and paradox, of the personal and impersonal, brings so much depth, openness and healing to people’s lives. They wake up to who they really are, and discover how this is lived and integrated into their daily lives.
Unmani Liza Hyde is the author ‘I am Life itself’ and ‘Die to Love’ and is now writing a third book.

I am sorry to say that I have thought, in the past, of Unmani as a spiritual fluff teacher. I am humbled and so grateful for Her wisdom here. I stand humbled and corrected. Thank you for sharing your gifts with us.

This is the first Unmani's transmission I listen to, and I deeply enjoyed it. However, I feel I can relate to your declaration of having judged or perceived others as being less than the expectations I had about them, even while feeling I was wrong. May all these misunderstandings and realizations drive us to let go of the (inner) cycle of abuse and neglect in which we sometimes find ourselves and others enmeshed. 🙏🏻🍀

Thank you so much. This planet, humanity needs feminine energy, and feminine way of understanding, feelings, and that is the only solution for the point where we are now. Women are making this world alive, with ideas of growing, of being part of the nature, ideas of light. We are locked in dual way of perception, of rationality, and this is place and moment when we have to unlock that. Just surrendering, and being.

Wow! All this from a woman's perspective. It seems as though this so completely embraces that of Rupert Spira and Eckhart Tolle, wrapped up into a 20 min. telling of the absurdity of existence. How ironic, that I viewed this on National Absurdity Day. hahaha But how beautiful to our sensory experience. A month ago, I experienced my initial ayahuasca ceremony. I laughed most of the night, not even purging until the early morning hours, realizing absurdity and my own role trying to be a perfect craftsman. :-) The Sufis have taught, that to know life one must experience it. To experience life one must taste it. To taste life, one must fully open to our sensory abilities. Bless you Unmani!!!

In my experience, Rupert Spira, seems to have inner conflict sometimes. I might be wrong/projecting of course, but that is my feeling at the moment. I used to listen to him but there is something uneasy about him; "Now i am explaining and you should (the asker of question) listen now and not interrupting"... idk? I may be wrong.

Leo Ahlgren yeah, Rupert can be a little snippy at times. Imani does have a nice r energy, like Jeff Foster who’s also more real and fun. The problem is they’re all telling a story of their experience w/out showing or providing anyone the tools to see for themselves: That to me is the bullsh*t part of it all. Rupert does try, I’ll give him that. Personally I found it all made sense after learning about Douglas Harding.

The mind is thoughts and we believe our thoughts tell us what we know. Fundamental thought is, I am this body, this person. We believe this thought as a truth. So then we think we know what we are. We are playing this silly game of being a body for the sake of experience. Don't believe, that's all. And then just let the movie play and don't interfere. All is well, it's just a game

Why do British non-duality speakers always say "free fall". I don't know what that expression means.

I'm Italian, so I can only say how I am interpreting these words. An infinite space in which I "fall" without being able to cling to anything ... but without fear, because I know that this will continue forever: there is no bottom!

Not sure that I follow the young lady's argument (if I understood it correctly) that if you 'know that you don't know': somehow this magically produces a belief that you are not, after all, the body. (Including, of course, its nervous system.) This may (for all I know, or care) constitute 'non-duality'. But it is sure as hell not science........If, through whatever means or none, you become convinced that consciousness is not the product of the mind/body: 'you' will then be an object in consciousness. But you will not cease to be the body. Because 'you' is a concept which can only accurately correspond to 'the body'.

tim13354 i think folks like this who tell a story about how people don’t exist but do (the main paradox of spirituality) without showing them or providing the tools to see and experience for oneself, does people an injustice. After years of listening and trying to work though this kind of BS I discovered, I discovered Douglas Harding’s (and now Richard Lang) works on being ‘headless.’ It’s basically a scientific approach w/experiments to see for yourself and test the truth of what she’s saying. It completely changed my perspective and understanding on the whole spiritual paradox thing and enabled me to “get it”. The next step is living life though this understanding which is another journey in itself. Anyway, if interested, headless.org is a website Richard built for Douglas where you can go though the experiments or exercises yourself. You can buy the books but it’s not necessary. The idea was and is to make it accessible to people w/out costing a small fortune. Everyone involved donated their time to make it happen w/videos etc.... That’s it, hope helps out.

Or perhaps your proclamations on “not knowing” represent the essence duality. Not entirely congratulatory.

Isn't the idea of non-duality in essence dual in itself?
