My hands stay very black or stained because of the oil and rust on the steel I work with, I do wear glove's but I take them of for drawing revisions on the plans for the project I am designing and building. The lizard has some age on him, he’s old enough to develop some brain power. My cousin had an iguana, it was a few years old, but was no good as a pet. He didn’t handle it enough for it to like people, he was just an oddity that we enjoyed watching him eat grapes. He also loved green peppers! But he had zero personality.

Just like dogs , they only act like pets because you feed them .

This is a greeting. Their nods have many basic meanings depending on posturing. I learned this when working with reptiles of this type for a couple of years and this type of behavior never resulted in an attack.
