Lizard Skins DSP Bar Tape Install & Review 

Thanks for keepin' it real! Getting bar tape just right is NOT always easy, and IS always a bit fiddly. TIP: The leftover bar tape can be used as a chainstay protector. It even matches!!

I bought this based on the your review and loved it super soft and gummy for grip and could ride without gloves and had no pain at all

Thanks for this, just got back from a ride and my bar tape is in a really bad way. I've never put tape on and was hoping it wouldn't be too tricky, this has given me the confidence to give it a try now.

How long did that last you?

You're obviously better off leaving out the extra piece under the shifter. If you're careful, there won't be any gaps showing and you don't need to double the tape, especially when you are using thicker tape in the first place. Also, have your electrical tape cut and ready...I cut a piece and hang it between the Top Bar and Drop Bar on the bike so it is ready. it was very helpful to see that you had a lot of excess tape as I didn't see the length of tape that LS gives you when looking to buy it. Hi! Thanks very much for the video, I'm going to change my tape, and this gives some insights on how to do it and where the potential problems will be in order to be as prepared as possible :) One question: how's the Lizard Skins been holding up since your video 4 years ago ?

This brings us back to that age old question; what came first, the smart watch or the bike?

It makes no sense to do a fig-8 with tape that thick AND the extra bit. I avoid the figure 8 and instead change the wrap direction for the upper, which is more secure as your wrists twist backwards.

10:39-?-12:52:ok then. So during hours on the saddle (specifically uphills) looking at the wrap, it is annoying to see where it is not wrapped correctly. From experience.
