In my opinion this version of the Lizard was only ok. The actor was great and the design was pretty cool but the movie did not touch on the tragedy of Conner's transformations.
Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man releases the cure into a machine Lizard was using to turn everyone into lizards like him, so when the cure hits the city, his reptilian body crumbles away.
