@@RadTrooper I usually see that emote when they blast out 12 creatures on their turn and I'm at 4 life or something, just for my next turn to be a boardwipe or Urabrask "storm" combo into the opponent conceding before my turn ends. It's always a good time.

@@ForeverLaxx every day I have an opponent that "good game" me by droping a jace and milling me out while I have a virtue/phyrexian portal just to see tragedy hit them during my upkeep. And by tragedy I mean my x1 oracle of tradgedy that shuffle up to 4 cards back in the deck

Its won me so many games in this lizard deck. Its such a counter to all the insane red aggro...instead of going down 4-7 you go up 5. It completely screws up their game plan, just run out of steam.

@@alexandersims1613 Hmmm. Good point. Maybe one of the Duress Lizards, for a single copy, if Bo1. I think Bo3, you replace probably run 2-3 LJFs over the Thought-Stalkers, and keep them in the Sideboard, but Bo1, the current build likely makes sense to prevent a board wipe. But in Bo3, you probably don't run the lifelink instant, either.

I'm loving all the tribal stuff this set. Bats, Mice, and Lizards all feel like actual playable decks that aren't just 2 bats or 2 mice plus a ton of generic "good stuff"

And what's especially good is how few cards actually care about tribe. Take this deck, what we have? Scales, Gev, that's it? For the most part, they just happen to have abilities that synergize with other cards in this tribe, meaning they aren't useless outside of their tribe.

It's just standard. It's a special client hosted separately, so diluting the pool of players with multiple formats doesn't make sense.

Simpleminded answer, clearly there are more options for WotC than pushing pure aggro or pure control. Currently complexity has little to no value in gameplay, almost everything revolves around highest value per card and lowest cost per card. That is incredibly boring and makes the competitive MTGA landscape the way it currently is.

I think lizards needs to have laughing jasper flint in it. such a good card p much designed for the lizards archetype. id rather have him than thought-stalker. turn 3 hand disruption is too slow against a lot of decks. at the very least get him in the sideboard as a 2 of for grindier games imo

All of these creatures are also classified as Outlaws, so one or two Jasper Flints could have a home if this didn't pop off so early.

Personally the thpught stalker is to vostly for its effect for me in this deck. Replace 2 with Jasper and the other 2 for cruelclaws heist for a little hand disruption and thats 4 cards that can yoink cards from opponent what ch is teally good in the his deck outside of early acxess because counterspells will be good to steal and removal.
