Love the horse. Just amazing. Still wish for the day when Icelandic horse riders sit straight when they ride, though. It looks quite bad with the hunch.
Such an unusual gait, in full trot the back end looks like it’s pacing with no up and down eg how some Arabs have this daisy cutter action and the front legs are moving at a completely different speed with a very high carriage knees in the air like a hackney! Very odd but fascinating to watch.
@@meep_show Sorry sweetie, Icelandic horses weren’t bred to ‘move like this’! These native horses Tolt because they have a natural DMRT3 genetic mutation which prevents the near and off side legs (left and right legs) to move in synchronicity therefore enabling to create extra gaits, they also have a 5th gait called ‘Flying Pace or Pacing’. Unlike Hackneys, Arabs, Tennessee Walking horses etc due to it being a natural mutated gene Icelandic ponies can be taught to enhance said movement. Hope this helps.x
