Kudos to Little League Baseball! I grew up in the Williamsport area, so I've been watching these games since I was a kid in the 70's. These new bats that the kids use made home runs special again. The aluminum bats that they were using for the last 40 + years, made home runs cheap.
Nigga we used to play on bigger fields than 225 in REC BALL back in LL, and every game there were still at least 2 home runs. This was back when USSA rules weren't a thing, but still shows that these kids should be playing on at least 250-275.
Martin Posey: Have you seen the series in the past? Little League "toned down" the bats this year. In prior years there were easily 2-3 times the homers. By the way, when I was a kid watching the LL series, the fence was only 200 ft.
