LMS Presents Oklahoma! Act 1 

They got a big theatre seven stories high:-) That's ok Jamie, you did great ! The whole cast did! I am a born Okie and you Irish did a good job of doing this in Oklahoma folks speech! I liked some Irish touches like I saw a bit of a River Dance! Hamming up People Will Say We're in Love was so entertaining!

I love this interpretation of Jud, so similar to Lenny in "Mice and Men". We usually visualize him as a bully, like the brillante portrayal by Rod Stieger in the film. Shirley Jones said that she was scared of his mighty performance, in which he also sang and dance. Why you why did they cut "The Lonely Room" song from the film. The song is one Rodgers most modern melodies and really shows us who Jud was and we take pity on him.I wonder if Jud was based on a real person.Thanx for this wonderful performance espically the great orchestra. May the humour and soul of "Oklahoma" last for all time.

Orla Walsh, brilliant! Her voice is just as magical as Shirley Jones in the movie! Where is she now? I would love to hear more!

Great production. I do wonder about something though. Seems to me that a young woman like Laurey in pre-statehood Oklahoma wearing men's clothing would have been scandalous and most likely ostracized by the community. Laurey is an innocent farm girl. It seems incongruous that such a young woman would dress in pants. Maybe I'm wrong about how rural people behaved in that time period.

Very bad: Laurey would not/should not be wearing overalls....great mistake, following same error in a stinky Bwy revival.
