Lo-Fi chillhop study music combined with alpha wave isochronic tones. Helps improve your ability to focus and commit what you're learning/studying to memory.

► If you are new to this type of audio brainwave entrainment, find out how isochronic tones work and how they compare to binaural beats here: www.mindamend.c....
► More isochronic tones tracks to help increase your ability to memorize information: • Memorization Study Aid... .
What is this?
This 3-hour isochronic tones track is for use over a longer study period, to help you memorize what you are studying/revising. Once you have mastered and understood the material you are learning, you can use this to help improve your ability to memorize and recall that information, by revising and absorbing it while in a heightened Alpha state.
How does this track work?
The track stimulates your brainwaves to increase the activity of the 10.2 Hz frequency in Alpha. Beta is the frequency range you would normally be experiencing while awake and alert during the daytime, and Alpha is a more relaxed state just below that.
When you are in an Alpha mental state you become and feel more relaxed. It is theorized that while in this relaxed state, you gain a more direct route to your subconscious mind, where your brain stores and files information for recall later on.
This session is based on a memory recognition study in 2006 by Jonathan Williams, Deepa Ramaswamy and Abderrahim Oulhaj. The study participants were stimulated with a range of different Alpha frequencies. The results peaked at the 10.2 Hz frequency, where participants outperformed the control group in memory recognition by 15%.
How is this session constructed?
This isochronic tones session begins beating at 10.2Hz in Alpha, where it holds for 6 minutes. It then ramps up sharply to 12Hz at the bottom of Beta, where it holds for 2 minutes, before ramping back down to 10.2Hz again and repeating the cycle.
The main focus of the track is on boosting your Alpha brainwave activity, but I've also included periodic short bursts of low Beta stimulation, to help keep your concentration levels up and prevent you from getting too relaxed and drifting off.
How to use it?
Listen to this track with your eyes open while reading and studying.
Headphones are NOT required
Although headphones are not required you may find them useful to block out external distraction, especially if you are studying in a noisy environment.
How loud should the volume be?
The main thing to consider is that it should be loud enough to hear the repetitive isochronic tones, so you don't want it so quiet you can hardly hear them. But you also don't want it so loud that it's uncomfortable for you and hurts your ears, or gives you a headache. I'd recommend starting with the volume around halfway and adjust it to a level that you feel comfortable with from there.

I really like this the only other person that was doing this on this level was a man name Dane Spot.He headed up a company called Zygon. He also dealt with Isochronic tone. He also sold a device to enhance the experience. The device balances the left and the right brain hemisphere together.. His product was band and labeled a fake. But, yet here we are. This is great. This is one up for Dane Spot and Zygon. Peace!!!!

Another favorite. I love Lo-Fi. It would be great to see more of these videos. Also, is there a limit to how many videos we should be watching a day? I feel like I listen to your videos for the entirety of my 8- to 10-hour workday. I mostly switch between your mood boost, relaxed focus, and ADHD videos. Are there any negative side effects that you know of from listening to tones for that extended amount of time? Also, are you aware of any studies that examined the efficacy of tone therapy coupled with SSRIs or other antidepressants/antianxiety/ADHD meds? Thank you! Thank you! :)

Thanks again Catie. I'm definitely planning on making more of these. The main potential side-effect is you could potentially become dehydrated and feel mentally fatigued from all that extra brainwave stimulation. As I'm sure you've already picked up from reading my comments and being a regular user, you can keep that balanced out by topping up on fluids and staying well-hydrated throughout the day. The fact that you mix things up with a blend of different videos will help a lot. With some more relaxing, not all high-intensity, high-focus stuff etc. So that's good. There isn't any data I've seen on people listening for long-periods like that, as it's a bit of a new phenomenon because of RU-vid. I've had a lot of good feedback from people telling me they listen to my tracks all day and it is becoming more popular for people to do that. I get lots of anecdotal feedback from people combining my tracks with various forms of medication but unfortunately, I've yet to see any formal studies into it. It's something I try to keep an eye out for and hope to see done, as I do get asked about that.

I use an audio editor called Mind Workstation to create my isochronic tones tracks. I'm afraid that was taken off the market in 2018 when the company switched focus to a new business model. Unfortunately, it is no longer available.
