Hey if y’all could check out my sports podcast on my channel I would really appreciate it. I’m trying to get a sports communication degree and so it would really help me if you at least checked it out
Reco Truesdale Of course he would. Do you want to know why? Lebron came in the league wearing 23. He bore a tattoo that says “Chosen One.” Lebron has stated that he is chasing the ghost of Chicago. And last year, Lebron said that he is the best player ever(on his Shop show) because he beat the Warriors in 2016. When you say and do things like that, you’re putting yourself in a position to get more scrutiny. Kawhi never did or said any of those things. That’s why people don’t judge him as harshly. The truth of the matter is people always want the perks but none of the responsibilities that come with the perks. Lebron doesn’t have a problem with people talking about him as long as it’s positive. But praise and criticism go hand in hand. You can’t have one without the other.
Toby Schneider Bro if anybody deserves it he does 17th year, deep runs in the playoffs, Olympics, etc... Bron has given everything to the game. Sad part is if it was him doing this instead of Kawhi y’all would be killing him just because he is “LeBron” smfh.
Not really. Chris Broussard fails to realize the NFL does not have load management because EVERY regular season game matters. In the NBA, the 72 win warrior team and the '19 Raptors proved the NBA regular season is pointless. Just rest and let the Clippers bench carry you to the playoffs. Chips are the only thing that matters.
Nik3 that’s not the point. Sitting out games just because he feels like it is just cowardly and not a good look. You think mj and kobe would sit out games against magic johnson and a prime tmac? Kawhi is soft as charmin LOL!
I watched a documentary about Wilt Chamberlain...plz sought it. The minutes he played per season were superhuman. Not taking anything away from Kwahi but dang!
@@michaeldigennaro5755 Clippers probably have some behind the scenes incentives to the relatives of kawhi. They did try to buy the logo of kawhi from Nike even before was in clippers.
Kevin Zapata THEY are managing Kawhi’s LOAD...plus “ALL SPORTS ARE MAKE BELIEVE” admission from Nick Wright... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FS5SGno6Mww.html
Youngkidchris kyrie, kd, lebron, dame, steph and the list goes on and on. Colin the same dude last year who said Kawhi was “the most overrated player in the league” we don’t forget Colin
There's nobody in the game today that plays that style. He has that "old man" slow game that can always get buckets. Other guys can score. But not like that.
@@bradenmchenry995 Dame cant get a bucket Like Kawhi sorry your comparing a 43%-44% shooter for his career to a 49% shooter. The only players who can score like Kawhi in that efficient way are KD and Kyrie. U dont see Curry attacking the rim through contact, you dont see Lebron scoring like Kawhi either. Kawhis an offensive weapon especially in the mid range. Lebron is the opposite of Harden, 75% drive 25% stepback 3.
1. He ain't holding the trophy at the end. 2. Durant got hurt. Have a 100% Kawhi, but a healthy kd and klay, and the Raptors would of gotten mopped off the floor. 3. Stop it.
Problem with that is we already watched Kawhi be more than willing to guard Giannis in playoffs, which he did. LeBron just be dodging smoke, and considering he is amongst the elite, its frustrating as a viewer.
Mexico City I saw kawhi try to guard lebron 4-5 times the entire game against the lakers, don’t sit here and act like Kahwi hunted Lebron. He dodged him too
This is the second time that Kawhi sat out a national broadcasted game. ESPN and TNT must be calling Silver, “we pay billions for broadcast rights and we aren’t getting the product we paid for.”
Adam Silver is like that pushover dad that he lets his kids go anything then when he asks them to do anything, they don’t do it. The players don’t respect Silver as a person with authority. They see him as a buddy.
You can’t be a buddy do your damn job this goes for everybody DO YOUR DAMN JOB POINT BLANK the fans are always the ones getting the shaft it’s UNACCEPTABLE PERIOD 😡🕶
Hats off to Lebron!! 17th year and still killing and playing majority of the season. Max Kellerman and Collin are riding on Kawahi’s bandwagon. Watch lakeshow take the tittle this year.
I work two jobs, leaving home from 6:30 am without returning until 11 pm. I thought about not going into work today to see what load management feels like. It felt wrong and punitive to my team so I went into work.
but part of the load management is to prevent injuries from happening -If GWS had klay an durant took 20 games off they possible did not injure themselves in the playoffs
I agree. He can't be the NBA MVP, but I don't think that matters to him. He took about 20 games off last year for Toronto, and Toronto won the title. The Clippers probably think correctly that they need him fresh in May and June to possibly win a title.
Yes, actually he is the best player..this is dumb, playing more games dont make someone more skilled. Theres no player better than Kawhi in the nba..regardless of how many games he plays
This is exactly why I haven’t been to an NBA game in a few years. You never know if the stars you’re paying to see will be there or not. I’m not in the habit of throwing away $600. My 90s NBA stars almost never missed games
What the league needs to do is signify certain games as “marquee matchups” when the schedule is released. These games would prohibit players sitting out with the “load management/rest” tag. To placate the players union, there could only be like 6-10 games a year marked as a marquee game, so the players who want to load manage can still hit that 65-70 game mark that they’re looking to play.
I don't think it would have been as big as a deal if he had sat out during the Portland game tonight. Firstly, even though Portland is a good team and Dame is star player, it's not a marquee matchup, it's not a possible NBA Finals preview. Let's face it, it's unlikely that Portland will even be in the conference finals again this year. Secondly, the Clippers play Portland again in Staples in a month so there's another opportunity for those fans who missed out on this one if anything and they play again in Portland in April plus possibly again in the early rounds of the playoffs. Basketball is a business, they really need to be more strategic to keep the backlash to a minimum. Thirdly, this was the 2nd week in a row that he missed an ESPN game, I'm sure they are not pleased. Be more strategic. Not playing tonight instead would've made all of this much less.
instead of taking less minutes during a game they missed whole games because they don't want to hurt there avg numbers.... dudes could literally play 4 mins in the first 4 mins in the second and 10 mins in the 3rd and 10 mins in the 4th end the game with 28 mins but played in the important part of the game.....they don't want to do that because it hurts there numbers averages...…why because that's all people talk about he averages this and he averages that.
I like Kawhi, he's my 8th favorite player in the league, but I agree with CB. The NBA is a superstar driven league and when a superstar chooses not to play it effects ratings and general interest in the game in a huge way.
There is also Pros to load management. I.E being able to make a deep playoff run, getting your bench stronger because they get a lot more playing time. So in playoff time you have a much stronger all around team.
This like cheating the game MJ and Kobe played the game when healthy even hurt they played this is cheating the game and a slap to the fans that bought expensive tickets that they grind for players play...82 games is the schedule play the schedule!
KyP Amaro The regular season builds chemistry and team cohesion. Kawhi sitting out and letting his bench lose again and again has potential to hurt their confidence and even ware them out by the time the post season comes along. The regular season exists for a reason and isn’t 100% pointless
Rondo is garbage, I don't care if he shot 50% nobody is going to guard him from 3. Those numbers are misleading. His defense is even worse too, which negates whatever he does on the other end of the floor.
@@Rich_iam Kid did you see what him and AD did in the playoffs before running into the GREATEST TEAM EVER ASSEMBLED! Wtf are you even talking about? You throw LBJ in to that mix you have a championship caliber team. You obviously dont know basketball.
People really need to stop this "well he won the chip with load management last year"...give me a break, the ONLY reason Toronto won the finals was because Klay was injured, never mind KD.
I don't know if load management lead him to victory since he looked hurt in the finals and he benefited from playing a injured warriors and the team stepped up.
@@missioncodez We don't know that. The point of load management was to prevent Kawhi from getting injured in the playoffs. He got injured in the playoffs anyway and played through it. If he didn't load manage last year are we supposed to believe the leg he hurt in the playoffs would have been worse? Injuries are mostly random you can do things to reduce your chances of getting one, but you can't rest x amount of time to prevent x injury that's not how it works.
Everyone keeps saying “it works for him” okay so pro athletes can just skip portions of the season to avoid injury while other players endure the entire season
There are a lot of tough teams in the west and Lakers have had a fluff schedule so far with a win against the mavericks in which they had to cheat to get to overtime. Too much hype too early for the Lakers.
Perfect example right here of how this negatively impacts the league. I love basketball, and a lot of my friends love basketball, so naturally I've had this game in my calendar since the schedules dropped. As soon as I heard this, my first thought was "well, I'm not watching this game." I talked to three of my friends, and none of them are watching either. People don't want to watch the Clippers without Kawhi and PG13 taking on Giannis and the Bucks. The Kawhi vs. Giannis thing is half the reason this matchup is so exciting, but now, I have no reason to make sure I catch this game, because it's not an event anymore.
He’s probably the best player rn because he’s the best 2 way player. Is elite on both ends. Won a chip last year, and went through 2 elite eastern conference teams to get there. The 76ers that had the most talent in the East, and he beat them in game 7 with the only game winning shot in game 7 in history, and the Bucks in the ECF where he went down 2-0 and won 4 straight, OUTPLAYING the regular season MVP. So don’t let the media blind you with the he’s only the best player because he won against an injured warriors team... he beat other elite teams
CLIPPER FAN since the 90's. I told my boss I'm not working bc Load Management and he said "Go load manage permanently then." and I said I'm feeling better.
The media are partially to blame for this. For at least 20 years, the media have been constantly saying that is it is "all about the rings", rendering the regular season meaningless. If I was an NBA coach and I was asked about load managing players, my simply response would be, "You have told me that this game is all about championships. I am plying for June, not November"
