@@HandyGuy2016 I’m the same way with my tools as well lol. I go to the garage and look at my Ferris and I shake my head and smile like damm I made a good choice😀👍
Good day to you. Excellent choice on your new dump trailer. I’ve just purchased a dump trailer myself less than a month ago. As a matter of fact it’s almost the same as yours. Same brand = Load Trail 16 ft long with 3 ft side walls 8 thousand pound axles (oil bath) 17 ply tires No Max Step on front side of the box Everything else is the exact same. Color too. I like your idea about the Jack handle being removed and using a cordless drill or impact to raise and lower your Jack. Simple but excellent idea. I’m also going to raise my sidewall height for more capacity one being used as a possible wood chip hauler. I enjoyed your video and channel so please keep the videos coming because I will be watching from down here in Mississippi. Liked Subscribed and Shared
Like your Ft. Knox hitch receiver lock, but you need the hitch receiver bolt lock they sell because anyone can unbolt the locked up hitch and drop it on the ground and bolt up their own hitch receiver and drive off with your nice trailer!
I don't do landscaping, but I will be using it for leaf removal, cleanups, and odd jobs in-between. Planning on getting a debris loader and building a leaf box.
I have this one , I learned something strange . The vertical tubing on the taiholds water . It’s sealed and the top allows water to get in . I had to drill small holes at the bottom to drain . I bought it used so that water was probably in there for many years . Amazingly it didn’t rust it out much .
It appears mine is an older model and didn’t have welded caps on top of the vertical tubing making up the frame of the tailgate and yours does . They must have upgraded that poor design
Started my business 5 months ago. Ram 2500 cash now a brand new load trail 7x12 14k max steps blah blah custom order in cayote tan will be ready in a month or 2
Congratulations man. I’ve been wanting one for several years now. I’m tired of having to unload debris by hand. Probably going to wait until all this low inventory/high price environment goes away.
Great video but I didn’t get so lucky with my load trail 2021 6x12. Half pieces of mig wire stuck everywhere, pocketed welds and splatter/slag. My housing for the pump doesn’t lock had to plain 2x4’s down to fit in the stake pockets. Passenger side back gate doesn’t latch to stay open when dumping and my tarp barely unravels due to a bent bar. Lol I got a lemon for sure.
@@HandyGuy2016 does it struggle pulling your set up when it's full? I'm looking at a 7x14 dump and I have a f150. I'm was thinking about a 250 but people were saying I would need a 350.
How are you liking this trailer so far and Any issues or concerns? I am currently in the market for one and have been looking at a load trail, cam and a PJ.
@@HandyGuy2016 I bought a load trail 72x14 14k . You and everyone else I have watched are absolutely right about the build quality. I was very impressed with the welds, powder coating and how well the trailer was thought out. Question for you about the battery charger. When you have your 110 plugged into it does your status lights blink? My red power light and amber light will flash slow. Just seeing if what mine does is correct or not before taking it back to the dealer.
@@HandyGuy2016 I’m not sure. I can not find any instructions on the brand charger being used that trail load uses. I google the part number and all I find is units for sale. It’s just odd cause I have never seen a battery charger do what this one does.
Hi my new same trailer lile this have 2 cables on the 4 tires 2 loose cables but only one black cable go to the brakes is this is normal? Or this trailer no come with brake box or electric brakes
I'm getting ready to sell my 18hp Billy goat leaf loader. Excellent condition. Less than 80hrs. Been sitting in my garage for 3 seasons. Bought new in 2015. It is a beast. I'm in Missouri, let me know if you are interested in some pictures.
I bought mine in Poplar Bluff (where Cameron Duncan lives) it was the closest place that had what I wanted available. Right at 13K last year, might be higher now.
My brother has the 16ft dump and all the welds are breaking and its missing mamy welds. The rear doors are falling off the ramp doors fell off. Mind you it's not even a year old. Poor shallow welds. I will bet if you look at the rear hinges they only welded the front and on the end of the hinge. Also the front jack will bend the frame and welds break. Bolts holding jack come loose all the time. Dealer rewelded the jack once which held better. And bent the frame back
I just cleaned and inspected it not too long ago after hauling some full capacity loads of gravel. It's still in excellent condition. Maybe something changed in the build process? Mine is a 2020 model
