I been following daylyt for many years, i remember a long time ago he was talking about if he ever battled Lux the world would end. I always knew daylyt was lyrically insanely talented and I always wanted to see him and Lux go at it, but I never thought I would ever see it, but this shit is really bout to go down.
Likewise, I been watching battle rap since the late 90s. To see the evolution of battle rap in it’s entirety come down to this, is pretty dope. I would’ve never pictured Lux and Day going at it this late tbh, but It only makes sense.

I've watched the battle and seen the bar for bar breakdowns.. it wasn't lackluster.. lux had some crazy schemes and some shit that was direct right for surf.. he broke surf down layer by layer.. while daylyt rapped well and put his words together well, I don't think his content has enough depth and directness for lux.. just cuz lux don't rhyme like dr Seuss don't mean he was lackluster.. go check out some of those bar for bar breakdowns and see if you think the samething
Here's the difference. Lux broke down Surf's image. He touched on the snitching allegations, glorifying guns, drugs, killing, and street shit. He even flipped some of Surf's best bars. All while talking to him like a grown ass man. Daylyt gave us the best Roc flips we ever heard while giving you the best schemes. But, in reality they were just name flips. The more you watch Roc and Lyt you'll realize the battle is alot closer than the live. The more you watch Lux and Surf, you realize that shit get closer to a body bag on each watch.
