Lux doesn't mention gun talk every other line like most these battle cats do. He merks heads with slick wordplay and cleverness. 9 outta 10 of these dudes can't come up with shit but 🔫 talk.
@@asmith8898 it’s not about that in this situation. Lux problem was not being able to adapt. This crowd was 90% clearly not battle rap fans, they where Eminem fans or slaughterhouse fans that came in thinking this was gonna be some 8 mile shit.
Abdelice basically when you take a coat of paint off a wall you use paint thinner. Basically Lux saying niggas took a whole coat off Mook with no problems at all
A lotta ppl there were comped . The day of the event the building hadn’t sold out .. so some dudes from production went to the street and started askin passersby “hey wanna come to a Eminem show ?!” And ushered in a buncha ppl that knew nothing about the culture/scene.
How??? Mook from the beginning just give it the fuck up he Lost.... You battle tapping not doing a history lecture. That's why he lost the crowd the came to see a battle
Peace king bruh I was so embarrassed to be there . People that knew nothing about bars were booing . Didn’t even let lux get his shit off properly . So cringe
I honestly think Loaded Lux killed this shit lyrically, but this is what happens when you battle in front of some one else's fans(people who are there just because its sponsored through Joe Budden and haven't seen a rap battle since TRex and Un Kasa). Loaded Lux was too lyrical and lost the crowd in round 2, so it wasn't that his bars were bad, it was just his performance went to shit because he wasn't getting love from the crowd. Mook just kept shit simple and performed. TRex vs Rum Nitty was the same case except Rum Nitty kept his composure and I think won easily. Smack needs to have a complexity bar event with Loaded Lux against Daylyt and you have to show a copy that your IQ is over 115 to get in or some shit like that lol
You are a poetry fan like most battle rap fans. Raps have subtlety different structures than poems. Poets don't really care how many syllables are in each line. That's why real rappers always win against poets. Cassidy 3-0'd Diz & Mook 3-0'd Lux. A poet can obscure a simple idea with a complex setup for artsy reasons. Most successful rappers use unambiguous metaphors to ensure their product is more palatable to the listener almost instantly. Lux is to blame for the ambiguity of his bars, not the fans. His complexities would be more appropriate for his music. People appreciate finding new meanings hidden in their favorite songs. That doesn't really work with battle rap because the gratification is instant when you're live on stage in front of fans.
swisshakilla™ What the fuck are you talking about? I'm actually trying to understand what you're meaning, but your points hold zero credibility. Complexity is a style of BATTLE rap that is loved by many battle rap fans. But let's play into this poetry(complex bar rappers) shit you're talking about. You automatically lose all credibility when you place Dizaster in the same category as Loaded Lux.But Ill pick three rappers that are poetry rappers that kill shit against "real" rappers. Loaded Lux vs Calicoe, which is on of the REALEST battle rappers there is, lost convincingly 2-1. Some people give him the W on Hollow Da Don. Daylyt has beaten Arsonal, Math Hoffa, Head Ice, and some even edge him beating BMagic. All these rappers are "real" rappers. Rum Nitty and Danny Myers have both beaten a shit load of "real" rappers, hence my example of Rum Nitty vs TRex. Rum Nitty beat the shit of TRex, but because the crowd weren't real big battle rap heads and probably have never seen Rum Nitty battle before, they just sat quiet. And it's easy to see that they weren't because they were cheering ma hard for TRex's recycled shit that he used in 5 other battles. Sooo all of that "poetry" shit you're talking is washed out son strictly because Loaded Lux IS a legend of battle rap. If it were like you say, then none of the people I mentioned would be shit because "real rappers win against poets". I shouldn't even be entertaining this shit really because just from you saying that, you're probably one of the people I'm talking about that still thinks Rex last battle was Un Kasa.... GTFOH #DNAvoice
swisshakilla™ So he should "dumb down" his bars for fair-weather casual battle rap fans who are unable to understand his rhymes??? Would people be saying the same for an average lyricist who only used Gun Bars in front of a crowd who were more intelligent and who were expecting more than just "gun bars"??? I HIGHLY doubt it... In fact I can almost guarantee that the RU-vid forum would be filled w/ comments saying that "The Crowd was whack"
like Lux said in the beginning "there will be no more victory saving victims, Wishing well judges and all the pain and mission that came to aid the missing, I don’t lose to these lost niggas attempting Only thing you gonna take is attendance, You just an intermission I’m on a mission it makes a difference"
Man that nigga lux is just on a different level. What we gotta realize is everyone got their own preference but you have to respect when a man has substance to his bars
GOD OF TROLLS Nah, he was right. However, this battle proves that rap battles are not just about who was more lyrical. It's about a combination of things, including stage presence and performance. Mook had it, Lux didn't. It was obvious.
Mook dominated because he was smarter. He wrote for the room, and performed for them. Lux wrote like it was a small room. The lyrics matter, but it is a performance art, especially in large rooms. Mook understood that and planned for it. Watch how Mook faces his body to the crowd and talks directly to them every so often without rushing anything. Lux tried scheming him to death. Needed to adjust, he couldn't and wanted out of there.
Murda Mook N Loaded Lux are nice in their own unique way. It takes a lot of hard work n nerve to do what they do and I commend both of them. I love their styles n their wordplay. I tip my hat to both of them. Keep the gift alive for as long as y'all live.
@@Venus1Star yep but if they judging on what they REALLY don't understand then it's assine 🤷 that's a hip hop crowd really into str8 rap they know nothing bout schemes metaphors assemblies etc, that URL crowd would've bood Mook for the constant personals n not bars...
I feel like after Mook explain Lux's Style. the audience begin to turn on Lux for having a predictable Style. also you need to remember that we're living in a time where, "right is wrong and wrong is right". Mook said, "no one wants to hear that righteous s*** when Hustlers are out here scamming". in other words a hustler scamming you out of your money is better than a righteous man telling you how to make money the right way.
Lux predictable? Where and when. Explain. Show me. Can you predict what angles he gone come with? Can you predict what he gone say before he finishes? You got people in the comments saying he advance and going over heads but he sooooo predictable.. Niggas say anything.
djphilgood3 Then Fans should stop being stupid and learn a little. Fucking 3rd grader mentalities. All of them rap about the same shit. No substance. A child could do it.
Yea, I watched this the first time and stopped it cause I thought that shit was ass but playin it again Lux bars wasnt as bad as thought the crowd definitely wasnt rockin wit his bars after that ignorant shit Mook was spittin and talkin bout Lux callin folks "lost niggas".
***** That makes no sense "bars over everything" is essentially "bars are everything" as prioritizing one thing over everything else means that it is of greater value than all other things
vinylvids2011 It actually does make sense. It means bars over everything individually. But added up, you can't just have bars. Im not agreeing with it as I think both of these guys are hilariously overrated, Mooks "angles" and Lux's pen game.
Shows how calculated Mook is. But as an MC you gotta know which weapons to draw for the occasion, and Lux brought out the weapons that didn't fit the occasion
Mike Decembre I’m not entirely sure if mook actually planned that tho or the crowd just understood or liked his style more than Luxs. I feel like Mook would have been rapping like that anywhere but Lux maybe should have adjusted his bars but then he’s taking away from the craft just so ppl can understand. So does it matter who wins in a room of ppl that aren’t necessarily battle rap fans or who’s bars get remembered and more enjoyed over time. Lux talked about that in a interview at Harvard or Columbia on 15mof.
@@mikedecembre743 The judges said it all - Lux lost the angles. He started his whole battle tryna prove Mook is a lost nigga. But Mook rather gave proof Lux is the lost nigga. So unless you don't understand how arguments are won, I wonder why lyricism should be your aim.
"I’m beating you on the numbers Math (hoffa) did it, now Eminem is , he in addition(+) He gave you a word problem you can’t solve How your mind (-minus) is going to multiply(x) with this add out for your division(/), get the vision?" - Loaded lux mathematics schemes deserved a great reaction....pssh lux 2-1
Okay I see the word play, but what the hell did that herb say?? But really, what was Luxe's point? That was nothing like the masterful third-round when he battled Calico
@@davidphillips1845 I think he is basically saying his battle league [Lions denz] is doing better then mooks league which is relevant because mook always called himself the king of harlem
"Why Incomplete Men Compete/ No Order But Wanna Eat/ I Would Rather Rap Like A Preacher Than Act Like A Preist/ What's With The Ass Grabbing/ You Boys Lost Me You Mr. Cheek." I'm Sorry But Lux Out Bar-ed The Shit Out Of Mook. 🔥🔥🔥
Lux just chose the wrong content and angle against Mook. Half the stuff Lux was referring to, very few fans would catch it. Many of references was strictly Harlem talk. Mook catered to making his bars fit for a universal crowd. Even a new fan of battle rap or a non-fan of battle would be able to see everything Mook's bars were referring to.
“We done got sick and tired of your mumbling. We’re in situation perpetuated and delegated by the mothership and all this other shit. Nigga shut your lips” 😂 These lines ruined Lux
People need to understand that The fact that someone's rounds were more intricate and complex doesn't necessarily mean he's the winner. It's battle rap, and all round performance quality is what is considered.
Loaded whipped Mook ass and he knew it.if you took votes from every state Loaded won by a land slide. I felt that loaded won every battle I’ve seen him had with mook💯
I'm sorry , this was NOT a 3-0.......Lux's first rd was simply better!!!! People get swept up in the moment. This wasn't your normal crowd and a lot of Lux's shit was cold but the crowd just don't want to hear complex...they want simple disses!!
Boy cut the bullshit, this was a sat over the body bag and shot his ass by Mook...Lux bars is complex this boy on stage saying shit like "I'll beat you like Big Momma" Lol
thenorthup10 ...BOY?? youngster...i'm old enough to be your daddy! You Take one line and run with it, but Mook saying Hippo lines is ok??? LOLOLOLOL acrowd going nuts cuz he's wearing a doo rag?? Yeah, well alrighty then. there's a link that has the entire battle ....go read what Lux wrote and said! .
Boy you aint old enough to be nobody and I personally dont give a fuck how old you are, bottomline is lux got thrashed hands down...Like Hollow hinted to and like Mook drove it home, nobody aint tryna hear that "Black Power Philosophical Encyclopedia" riddled bull shit he be talking about. Nigga more hypocritical than a dying hippopotamus, and that was light shit from Mook...Try the lines about him being a fake 5%er, or his babymom or that diss song. Mook cemented the number one spot with the battles against Solomon and now against Lux.
thenorthup10 TFOH..i forgot more raps than you ever heard...i'm 49 years old... here before you youngsters were an itch in your daddy's pants......Mook won but he didnt 3-0 Lux...young BOYS think that!! Go sit in the corner somewhere!!!! You can say what Mook said is LIGHT but Lux doesn't get afforded the same?? STFU....i'm done with lil boys like you!!!!!
Boy I dont give fuck if you was 149 like I said bar for bar Mook destroyed Lux using his own schemes and words against him...Lux got pride got took on that stage you can tell by the way he looked when Mook rapped and the interview he gave after the battle. Lux losing had nothing to do with a bias crowd or nothing, people just not trying to hear that same old bullshit he spit...Hollow and Mook said it best. "Just because you dont understand him dont mean he's nice, by taking something so simple and making it sound so difficult"
Don't discredit this platform n culture. It's competitive and not all have gun bars. Gtfoh with that back handed compliments. Who do you think pioneered this movement ?
@@UswearecrazyNamibia the point i was trying to make is this could've been a better event. You cant just throw money at something from the mud and expect it to hold its true value. This was suppose to be the battle of the century but the whole event was a dud. it should've been on smack stage.
@@ImtooFuturistic typical Ti n Ludacris beef shit, Mook took an opportunity to get his face back n he knew this was the forum...lame but pt 3 will be under THAT forum URL..
+Stewie Griffin "i dont entertain opinions, there will be no more victory saving victims. wish him well judges and all the paid admission that came to aid the missing,. i dont lose to these lost niggas attending, only thing you taking is attendance"
+Lively LenZeZ Exactly man!!!!!..i could tell people in the audience Didn't get hardly none of Lux Shit!!!...Cause His Lyrical Capabilitie is Naaasty!!!!!!...All his shit was over alot of Heads....smh...
Man I Can Mook is super wack, he may be popular on the East Coast for battle rapping but if you put his music or loaded lux bars and music was judged by the Midwest and the South.....Mook ass would be history 💯
Man I Can Real URL fans yeah??? So if last year was your first day watching this shit then how can you call yourself A REAL URL FAN dude??? You still years late!!!! REAL FANS watched the shit when it dropped! 😣
smh... the difference between the two is, every battle rapper could sound like mook. but every battle rapper can't sound like lux! that's what make dude so dope to me, he adopted his own style. there's a million hi energy battle rappers who can sound exactly like mook which means all of them better than lux using that logic. smh but how many outta that million can out do lux at what he do? real shit, dude should never change, not everybody like what's become conventional battle rap. the industry fucks with lux for that, and true heads know lyrically he killing mook
I remember watching this whole event live on PPV in the summer of 2014 and it didn’t take more than 12 seconds to figure out that the crowd there was not the battle rap crowd that goes to events. It was the mainstream crowd that responds more to charisma and jokes than they do bars.
"You are more hypocritical than a dying hippopotamus"... WTF, Mook bodied himself there, I feel like the crowd don`t even listen to the words sometimes.
MyDarkPassenger lol bruh..more hypocritical ("hippo-critical") than a dying hippopotamus...as in a hippo in a critical condition being that it is dying...
Mook presentation and delivery is always on point and incredibly efficient plus he knows how to emphasize his punchlines : battle rap is like a murder trial it’s not about what’s true and accurate but how the lawyers present there case cuz lux is better lyrically but can’t convey it to the crowd like mook
a Battle ain't just about who's the most complex, you dudes swear Eminem the greatest and in the movie he used a comedian style to win battles... mook turned the crowd on him, that's strategy, if u real hip hop you suppose to know this. lux can be the greatest mc ever, it want change he took a L here
mook you were at the table like ima set up and bet up, ima get this cheese, but you gonna get shredded going through someone(s) greater(grater) its a bar but its wack lol
Lux is my favorite. I can only watch his first round and nothing else. I remember watching the battle live, Mook crushed my spirit the way this dude came at Lux. The shit hurt 😢😢 Lux did spit some shit though. It was lyricism at its finest, but he lost the crowd when Mook went a little simplistic and comedic. I wonder how will Lux redeem himself. I think he needs Clips to do it. But he has to go in. Niggaz will be expecting something crazy from Lux. The pressure is on that man.
Nickey Black did i write that shit or did you? damn G, well said , not the battle rap crowd and mook came in like a D.A,with a case and points to prove, but Lux out rapped him easy
Tyrontae Brown This next battle is everything. If he loses again, he better find a 9 to 5 because losing will not help sell the product he has to offer. That's why Beloved didn't do that well, and I thought it was good. Not dope, but good.
Jim Beam bitch you’re name is Jim, shut yo dumbass up, white ass name 😂, like I said you stupid asf pussy, that’s why you can’t understand lux and that he clearly won, fuck nigga
"Your career will be on fire but left out the part where you standing in front of the dragons mouth". The crowd is just to simple. Smack, just give us Lux vs Dalyte
DaQuan Johnson I read this comment at around this time in the video 22:03-22:05 and I thought that's what Lux is thinking right there. Lol dumb ass crowd.
ArchitektEmcee u gotta b able to gravitate towards the crowd lux make u think they gone have to hear his shit like 4 times to catch on as wit mook u can understand him better so they gravitate
Mook admitted that Lux is the best lyrical battle rapper, so clearly he didn't even try to go bar for bar, what he did was smart in the sense he broke Lux down piece by piece and took the crowd on a ride word for word. Kind of like what Lux did to Calicoe.
is that wenger in your pic? also mook is simple af couldn't keep up lyrically in a rap battle means u lost. prolly another ny cat gassin u prolly love trex
*MOST PEOPLE DONT GET THE ART OF BATTLE RAP* It's OBVIOUS that lux had the best lines. But see having the best lines isn't what's gonna ALWAYS get the win. Mook was very tactical from the *BEGINNING* when he won the crowd with his lil act he put on when he threw his cap off. From that very point on he basically won the battle because he won the crowd. Lux was still spitting fire but the crowd was already won. Which was a BRILLIANT move for mook. The crowd backed up mook the rest of the way. Game over. Lux is a true lyricist rap artist and that's who actually won, but here's wisdom, "do what it TAKES TO win"
Lux sounding different should be a bonus as 98% battle rappers sound the damn same... but these idiots use his difference in delivery as a disadvantage because like simplicity... keep it down dumb proof is a bonus now days I suppose..
Exactly, I hate battle rappers that gun bar after gun bar after gun bar whole verse is 101 ways how they can shoot you wit the same hand motions, cadence shit wack af
In battle rap… you have to come to the crowds level, you can’t bring in schemes that would take minutes to dissect, you have to carry them along so when you deliver it, they get the reaction. Lux was a victim of a slow crowd
It’s crazy how this is one of the best Lux performances ever and it’s overlooked so many lines and quotables it’s unreal 🔥🔥Mook was dope to but the way looks puts it together is like no other 💯Dope battle tho. Crowd was ass should’ve been on URL. I hope if we ever see a part 3 it’s on URL or RBE. I just want to see it ‼️
I was in the building for this one and it is crazy how crowd reactions can influence how a battle can go. Watching this now a few years later I say Mook had better performance but Lux had better bars and lyricism.
Sabrina Monroe they WERE feeling Lux in his first round.. if you know about battle rap, Mook used the crowd against him and made everything Lux said irrelevant after the 1st round that's why they weren't feeling Lux afterwards.
Lux wasn't lying... "you a intermission I'm in a mission" Mook been preparing since the last battle, this was just another battle. Manifest Destiny better than every battle I've ever hear or seen
Lux is better in my opinion but they judge off the crowd. Lyricists will tell you that Lux is better lyrically but only a few in the crowd gets it. It's Kendrick vs Drake lol, Drake being Mook lol
Lux was TOOO lyrical sometimes he has to slow down to let the crowd catch it but its hard when he's mentally steps above the norm with his bars and he picked the wrong opponent to do that against ! Mook's Crowd Control, Storytelling, performance, aggression, Gun Bars, Punchlines, Rebuttals, Personals and Schemes were too much but yet simple which is why Mook won. A Smack Crowd wouldve understood and dig Lux more but even then Mook is very clever and most likely studied the crowd and must of realized that they're people who wont catch MOST of Lux's Rhymes. Should they decide to do Match 3 they must have it at Smack and Lux will have more chance of hitting Mook but still Mook will still find a way to adapt to the crowd. love how at times Mook was rapping like Lux in an almost respectful yet mocking manner, Harlem Spitters love using Homophones to craft Bars !!!
@@AceDramaBeats it ain’t even delivery Bruh, he just wasn’t saying shit. I’ve asked two other people in these comments what bars did they feel were so hard that didn’t get a crowd reaction, no answers
Now it's all about who acts younger and wears hotter shoes. A bunch of young dumbies inna crowd. Lux is one of the greatest poets that ever lived and the idiots didn't catch anything he was throwin.
