You’re teaching the contours and maps breakdown is fantastic! I would love to see you do a video on prespawn crappie on a flowage lake/Wisconsin River no weeds. Thanks! Dubay,Petenwell etc

A lot of people that are like... RU-vid famous... fishermen... won't do these kinds of videos because those bodies of water are so pressured and there's no guarantee they can get fish on camera. But I agree 100%; I'd love to see that video too!

@@tjsguideservice I totally get it - and the petenwell / castle rock are two of the main lakes on the WI River. Both are known to have good numbers of crappie and walleye with channel cats and other species mixed in. Plenty of white bass, too. They’re also fairly centrally located to like… the entire state. So they get pounded all season long. Not saying guys don’t go out there and do well; they do; it’s just a lot more pressure when your traveling to film and counting on content out of trip. Which I 100% understand and appreciate - we can’t learn from you / others like you if you’re constantly fishing stuff that’s difficult to produce anything out of simply bc of how pressured things are. I’m not knocking you at all; I love your stuff and I learn something every time. I truly think you are one of the very likeable, very relatable YT personalities in the fishing world.

Another great video! Great tips!! Yeah, the only thing I can say for the camera up front is, I ended up drilling a hole in the deck and mounting a rear pole light base so I could use my yolotek up front on superview to get the shot I wanted. I have a flush mount front nav light is why.

The Panoptix overlay is so gold but probably not ideal for crappie schools. I liked the way you had it. I’m giving the Omnia app a try this summer. Have you compared weed beds like you were on to their map layer? Curious how accurate it may be when scoping lakes for specific conditions.
@tjsguideservice
@tjsguideservice 4 месяца назад
I agree! Love the overlay, but just got too busy for this video it seemed. I have not done that for weeds yet. I am waiting until they grow up a bit first. I am also very curious to see the accuracy with the mapping being socially made.

If a lake has a reservoir that flows into a stream. Not a fast current but also 90ft deep. Do you think theres warmer water around that area or should i stick to the shallows?
@tjsguideservice
@tjsguideservice 3 месяца назад
I would say the warmest water will still be shallow! Especially if it’s muddy. I don’t fish reservoirs, though so I can’t speak to that too much!
