Q:What camera do you use?
A: I use the Go Pro Hero 7 Black Edition primarily. Often times you will see auxillary cameras in use. Those cameras include The Go Pro Hero 6, Hero, and DJI Mavic Pro Platinum
Q: How big Is your rotator?
A: It is a 50 ton Miller Industries Vulcan 950
Q: Does the carriage slide back like Ron Pratt's?
A: No, the carriage doesn't slide back due to strict weight laws in California. The sliding carriage will make the truck to heavy in CA
Q: Why do you only have 3 winches on the rotator?
A: Comes down to weight again as stated above
Q: How many trucks Does Plaza Towing have?
A: Currently more than 30
Q: Why must the driveshaft be removed to tow a vehicle?
A: When vehicles are not running the transmission is not receiving circulating lubricant. If the driveshaft is left installed, the transmission, which is not receiving lubricant, is still spinning. This allows it to get very hot which eventually will cause major damage to the transmission. Therefore, removing the driveshaft completely eliminates the transmission from spinning. Simply leaving it in neutral is not sufficient since the transmission still spins in neutral.

Sand definitely teaches a lesson in resistance, like mud or wet snow. The remote helps keep you safe, especially with heavy pulls that can break rigging. Being out in the desert like that seems much safer than being on the Interstate highway.

Didn't that loader have a differential lock so it turns all 4 wheels at once? I think the trigger on the right joystick activates it.

The Rotator has changed the game for these types of operations. I wonder what you would have used in the past to extradite heavy machinery from these soft sands? I have been watching Midwest Trucking out of Scott City Mo for the last four years. Fire Departments have been using them too.

(View from the arm chair fitter) the bucket usually slides better than the wheels, especially if the axel is dozing mud. The ground pressure is lower on the bucket bottom. Which then means lifting the rear or the counter weight digs in. Nice pull though, it came out sweet :o) *The centre steer pivot is very low on those and it doesn’t take much to ground out :o

My granpa owned a big constustion company in Canada i seen a track hoe in the 1980's that was sunk like that he was pull on it with 1000 feet of 1" cable and a d9 when that wasn't work he poked holes in the muck with a hammer and 1.5" pipe and put 1/2 sticks dynamite in the mud and blow it up while pull to break the suction and remove muck it finally came lose

Needed all winch pulling and no spinning the front loader wheels. All the wheel spinning did was try to dig the loader back down in the sand. Just leave it in neutral and let the wrecker do all the pulling.
