I think quite well.... Been using it 13 years now. I like the presence of the smaller grapple head. More downward pressure is applied to a smaller area. Of course... Logs don't compress. I've been quite happy with it.
Yes it could, but why would a person want to dump debris into a truck bed that doesn't dump? It would be a pain in the ass to unload by hand, thus the dump trailer.
Well gee, maybe there is a nice log that someone wants to keep for a project. Maybe there was too much on the trailer and just a bit left so it can go in the truck. HUM.
The boom arm came built on the trailer. It is no small undertaking and requires significant engineering. The manufacturer is KMS Maskiner out of Sweden. All the parts are either Swedish or Finnish. Arm is about 17' long and grapple opens about 30".
