Vestil Mobile HItch-Mount Truck Crane, it would be nice if you had put a link on where you got yours. I have a lifted truck I can use this for my Generator.
that looks like it puts a tremendous twist on the area that goes in the receiver. if you were lifting anything heavy I would imagine 2 more outrigger braces @ A 45 degre angle would help
Is this a Spitzlift portable crane? I just ordered 1 for myself. They have a 6-8 week leed time from the time of purchase to the time of delivery right now. I would put a tag line on anything being lifted though so it won’t swing into your truck? Does it come with a storage bag? There is one available but when I purchased it none was available? I look forward to getting mine! Thanks for posting!
@@Man_in_a_Gucci_Suit They were running a sale last winter for Black Friday. I got it at 10% off. I got the manual crank as it is very easy to turn as opposed to the electric motor operated winch. Somewhere in the vicinity of $1500? I always wanted one & this one is soo well made. Nothing comes close in quality
@@Man_in_a_Gucci_Suit Just like the video. 2 big pieces assembled together. Very easy to operate. Handle turns very easily. Swings 270 degrees. You can change the angle of pick by selecting it before the dead lift. Utilizes a strap as opposed to a cable winch line. You'll be impressed! Zero complaints. Worth every penny!
Sorry for the lack of comments back to people. I built this years ago because I am a contractor that works alone. I worked with a mechanical engineer to design it, then I built it. I uploaded this video with dreams of creating a small business with the idea. I was contacted by Spitzlift shortly after with a cease and desist. I didn’t even know they existed. I was young at the time, and they scared me with legal actions, so I moved on. Glad most of you liked the idea.
my question is how did you get the rotation at the receiver very impressive next question is did you make it or did you buy it and then from who any hoo very nice
I see one man and a female. Your argument is invalid. You won't always have two people to help you. Worker smarter, not harder.. but you're more than welcome to work harder.
I like the foot, as it is especially necessary for heavier loads, over 500 pounds, though I wonder how you get the foot pin out, if you load the truck with 1000 pounds ? I really like the lighter top member, as most designs are one piece and too heavy to lift into place.
In this set up I would use a tire jack to lift truck until that leg support loosen up, dissemble and back in business. Changing to a trailer jack would do it too, if not better then jacking up the truck
I need something like this, 2000 or 3500 pound to load into my pick-up truck Either crank or winch will be fine I like the fact that there is ground support, so to avoid damaging my truck while cranking
WAIT what kind of witchcraft was that??? He reversed the crank handle to lower the gen WITHOUT flipping a lever...how does that work? who makes that winch? I want it!!!
Please don’t forget about generator safety: this is something very important for everyone’s safety. This is only a reminder for everyone to make sure that they are aware with all the warnings. Generators can be dangerous if not used carefully. Always keep that in mind. Everyone really needs to see this safety reminder to be sure. We heard that many people have died each year when using generators due to carbon monoxide poisoning and electrocution. There is something very serious that everyone should always be aware of when using generators. Some people do run their generator indoors which is not safe and that increases the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning which can cause death of family and you. Some people run their generator in wet conditions which can electrocute them. Here’s an advice about generator safety: please remember that you should never run your generator indoors. Remember that carbon monoxide is an odorless and colorless gas that you cannot see or smell. Carbon monoxide is a silent killer. Keep that in mind. Make sure your generator is 15-20 feet away from your house and away from doors, windows, and vents. Having a carbon monoxide detector is very important against generator safety. Some people also allow children to go near the portable generator which could pose risks. We need to keep an eye on our children making sure that they are not near the portable generator so they won’t get electrocuted or burned by the generator which is dangerous. A locking enclosure also keeps kids safe. A generator shed might look like a tempting place to explore, or take cover during a game of hide-and-seek, but a generator is a dangerous piece of equipment that can cause injury. It says on the manual that we should also keep children away at all times from the portable generator to avoid injuries. Generators pose electrical risks. If you need to use your generator during wet weather, you need a generator tent to protect your generator from getting wet. Don’t let your generator get wet. Keep your generator dry and before using your generator, please make sure your hands and your generator is dry. Everything that is said on the generator’s operating manual should not be ignored. Never smoke cigarettes near the generator. Please keep flammable things away from the generator. Never overload your generator too. Your generator can catch fire. Never ever try to plug a generator cord into a wall outlet to avoid back feeding. Back feeding your generator is dangerous. Always turn on your generator first before plugging in appliances and shut off the appliances before turning your generator off. Use a heavy duty cord for your generator and the cord should not be worn out. All the instructions should be followed carefully. Never refuel your generator while it’s running. It can cause fire if fuel spills while your generator is hot. You should turn off your generator and let it cool off before refueling it. This is only a reminder for everyone’s safety of using generators. Make sure your generator is properly grounded. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-I1jT3ANENvI.html and here is a video more about keeping others safe when using generators. Keeping children safe is also important. Thank you hope you stay safe as well. Hope this advice helps everyone.
Are you plugging the base of that crane into a Reese hitch??? I seen something just like this today at Harbor Freight Tools for $250 it’s an engine puller but you can use it as a crane like yours also,,, the wheels go both ways on it and it’s got a hydraulic lift cylinder👍

Are you able to speak in complete sentences without inserting "like" and "dude" Like = similar to.... (Your wording is rediculous,,, Nothing would ever be "like" 200 lbs. It either weighs 200 # or it doesn't.... There's no similarity to anything. Dude = a person who is dressed in a certain style, or has a specific set of personality traits. Since you've never met me, you would have no idea about my personality, nor my mode of dress. 2 guys could EASILY lift that thing into the truck.
I am almost 64 and do not have anyone to help with heavy loads, so I just ordered two 1500# capacity aluminum folding ramps for that purpose for my truck and may buy the APEX UC-500xl hitch cargo carrier with ramp for my generator and other heavy items for when I am using our SUV.
Ramps can be dangerous in bad weather and still require physical exertion. It can also be used to lift almost anything, not just equipment with wheels/skids like a set of ramps. This setup is easy and safe for a person working alone.
