Those dogs sure have their tails wagging! This is what they were bred to do! They are so happy and fulfilled. It’s like they are saying, “come on dad, let’s do more! Let’s do this to all the cows in the world!”
This is what this breed was created for ..a lot of the reason people get dogs and put them in a shelter ? They cannot handle their energy ? They crew ? B. C..dogs were made to work ..none gets upset when a cops dog gets works ?? A lot of dogs are used to work..do u see their tails ?? They are having the time of their lives..and the farmer does not have to shock the cows , or fight for hours ..ect .
People are generally lazy and useless as well. They don't want anything that creates work for them. Hence why there are sooooo many shitty parents in the world
Those Border Collies Weigh around fifty pounds each. Those bulls are 1000-1200 pounds each! So more like 20 times their size. But sharp teeth and agility have the advantage every time. You get a well trained blue heeler on a stubborn bull and they will latch onto their nose and get flung 30-40 feet and be back in seconds. Don't take the bull long to figure out who the boss is.
Very well trained dogs, and a great trained horse, not spooked of the dogs or the Bulls. Those dogs were aware of their surroundings so those of you worried, he's obviously smart enough to train them...
For all those worried about the dogs: it's a risk but your be surprised how well trained dogs can be to duck and be aware of their surroundings . These are working dogs that love what they do they aren't some little toy dog. I've worked with herding dogs for 20 years never had an issue.
These dogs were bred to herd SHEEP. Sure, you can modify it to bulls, because they are fucking smart and want to work and eager to learn and obey, but this is not what they were bred to do. The dogs are small in size because of their breeding to herd sheep. They're delicate and light and fast to counter and outrun sheep because of their breeding. One misstep around a bull and it's all over. These dogs barely need any instruction to herd sheep, but in this case they had to be repeatedly commanded because they're nervous and unsure. Mismatched workers and work.
@@maralonent6257 I agree, these are working dogs and need to have a job and a lot of exercise but I think as well they should only herd sheeps which is safer for them.
I love to watch dogs working ! I don't care what kind of work it is! I do get really upset if one gets hurt or killed of course but theirs nothing like watching a dog do what it loves whether it's chasing down bad guys, search and rescue, livestock or just running obstacle courses.
The dogs are actually poor no self respecting farmer would allow such aggressive behaviour if they are are gored its mr bastard farmer to blame 😜 really poor animal husbandry idiot farmer only interested in profit
In Ireland, my dad said the used small dogs for moving cattle to the fairway, not sheepdogs, so I'm suprised by this. The smaller dogs would snap at the heels of the cows and avoid the kicks. They keep the sheepdog at home that day incase she got a bad kick. Dog was (still is) the most important animal on the farm, horses weren't affordable so we had asses( donkeys) instead. Smarter than horses anyways.
I loved seeing the little dogs work those bulls. I'm planning on getting some mastiffs to protect my future herd and learn how to round them up. Good job!
@@Ryu-bw1id thanks for the advice but I have seen it done with larger dogs like Great Pyrnese and Mastiffs. Either way, you have to hope for the best and prepare for the worse when it comes to animals dealing with other animals.
See where the guys arm is when the video stops? Closing the inside gate. That’s exactly how and where I shattered my arm when a bull kicked that gate really hard and slammed it into the wall. That day I learned to never put my arm where I wouldn’t put my weenie
Great workers! Doing what comes naturally is beautiful to watch. The dogs usually are much less stress to the cows. Not everyone has the ability to handle them with hand signs & voice commands like I was taught. Never had horses learned to use a truck at 7 while the men walked the herd. At 3 my Dad got me a bulldog, my nanny dog! As long as she was by my side I was free to roam. Got to see her in action, one of PawPaw’s huge Beefmasters got to close and Bone didn’t approve. She challenged him, grabbed that nose and put him on the ground. Held him till I got to the fence. He didn’t hurt her or me and never came near us again. Nanny dogs need to come back, bonding with an animal that your friend and protector. She wasn’t that way with anyone but me, she was so great at keeping the annoying little brother away. 😂
Teresa Hall Gulf City Pagan The Stress level for the bulls couldn't be higher. A dog stands for the wolf and the wolf is the biggest threat for a cow...
The bulls' body language says otherwise, they seem to be fairly relaxed, obviously annoyed, but no more so than if you saw a mosquito. If they were truly scared they would be going after the dogs much more aggressively per charge and odds are they've done this before.
Loved this ! Ummmm , so far , my Border Collie is a pretty pampered fellow ... I'd love to be able to put him on stock one day and see if he'd remember his " drive " . Thanks for the video !
This breed of dog was born to herd, shepards have used them for 1000's of years.any one in the comments complaining about risking your dogs life might as well tell police squads to stop using k9's,bomb units to stop using sniffer dogs and guide dogs for the blind, all of them everyday doing the work they are bred for.i guarantee these awesome dogs in this video and the other dogs i mentioned would die for their owners.
those working dogs are fast! wow, & the bulls are cool scary job! glad when everyone can get home in one piece, big hooved animals like horses, cows etc give me such anxiety I know how dangerous they can be & I didn't grow up with them to understand their body language lol I'll stick to domestic cats & rats
Ever used heelers? Seem like a heartier grittier meaner dog. Think it would help with bulls? I have no knowledge. Purely curious? I am owning my first blue heeler. He is from a working line also. And fully intact. Im thinking of trying bite work for him. Cause he has alot of aggression towards people. I wanna redirect healthier
