"In the 1966 Load Lines convention, adopted by IMO, provisions are made determining the freeboard of ships by subdivision and damage stability calculations." (imo)
@@carolinedick8764 Remember that double bottom can also provide safety layer for damage stability, especially L type of ballast and storage tanks. Sometimes holds also have middle division between 2 holds where are HFO and MDO tanks, dividing two holds.
m rowland I think most general cargo, project cargo and heavy lift ships will have them. Sometimes they also can be lifted into bulkead position for bulk cargoes.
@@michaelsrowland yes every single item by multiple belts, chains and or cables. Heavy items also get stoppers, steel plates welded to prevent the cargo from sliding.
Does anybody here do ships channel shoutouts, my channel is struggling & not growing effectively when I'm always uploading, I really need a little help to take off.
