Cracked me up when you said "Take that Dirt Perfect" while you were talking how efficient the excavator is when using the mat as a mud squeegee, lol. I was in awe the first time I seen you do it. Couldn't believe how much mud you moved in that little of time.
“ 30-40 yards at once, take that Dirt Perfect” “ maybe get Jerry in an excavator with a mat” gotta love it man, just be careful, Dirt perfect come back on you and ask you where your super stick is. Great fun though, keeping him on his toes!! 😏😉😁thanks for the ride along sir.
I can’t understand why my daughter scowls, tuts & looks to the heavens when I tell her I was watching dirt videos till 1am 🤷🏼♂️ lovin the banter with dirt perfect Chris, horses for courses 😂👍
Well, a certain number of people need to have those interests to support the workforce required to build things...like shelters for those that don't like dirt. 😉
I've been playing in the dirt, mud and water since I was very young. We used to dam up a small creek, let it back completely up and then destroy the dam and watch it flood downstream. We would do it over and over. Must be genetic or something.
@@puipeb3801 One of my favourite pastimes as a kid was pulling out beaver dams in the bush and watching the torrent flood out the forest downstream! Of course the damn beavers would have it all plugged up in a day or two!
After watching your channel for a while, I realize a big part of the work involves land management/improvements outside of the project at hand, that a project is not just removing/moving material, but creating land areas with a purpose elsewhere. I think the whole process of preplanning and the engineering of a strategy, based on the condition of the land to utilize around you, is what impresses me the most! Or maybe it's just ... eh, just dump it over here Bubba! haha ha
One thing for sure, The equipment is sure going to need a good bath when this project is done. Like the EE Cummings poem. The world was mud luscious and puddle wonderful.
Yep - 'take that Dirt Perfect' - It's an ingenious way to move mud and Jerry may be impressed with 'that' boy from North Carolina'. Nearly choked on my breakfast! LOL
Awesome work Chris, man that moving the mud with the mat is like moving a tractor trailer load all at once, great work, thanks for sharing, look forward to seeing the next video 💪🇺🇸
"Take that, Dirt Perfect!" Gotta love it! Since you started this project I've been thinking: "As long as the customers checks clear the bank." Moving that mud 60 feet at a time seems like the modicum of inefficiency. When you started dragging it with the mat, however.... Somebody's spending a lot of money to get an extra 3 feet of depth in their pond.... Thanks for answering my unasked question; why you didn't bring the 250 out there. Take care, Chris..........
Chris mentioned in a previous dredging that the 160 or 220 work better cuz of size and weight are lower, he also mentioned it a bit in this video in first few minutes.
"Somebody's spending a lot of money to get an extra 3 feet of depth in their pond..." Well, the place was'nt a pond anymore, just a smelly mud pit ! I for one, would'nt want to live around this !
I think dirt perfects “jerry” would agree that you figured out the best way to manage a job. I think the three of you are all masters of your trade, just in different regions.
It was pretty cool watching Jerry (Dirt perfect) push four feet depth of slop from an entire pond through the dam and out into the woods. Incredible video if you haven’t seen it. Can’t do it here but was a pretty interesting technique! Lots of fun to watch!
hi chris.. the thing i like about what you do is the state some ponds are in when you work out a plan.but i like the finish when its done but in between the clearing of it im fixed on it all i watch everyone from start to finish you do a great job chris once round its strawed and seeded..and i like the views with the drone added with your music....no matter what you work on i watch.........
We have a 12ft moldboard with quick connect on it for our Deere 300s for doing slopes the dozer hands are scared to get on. It works great for spreading topsoil on pond slopes
I believe I'd try to fix me up an old road grader blade and weld a coupler on it to fit the excavator and use that, it might last longer than a mat I don't know but just a thought
Several people have suggested something similar. And it’s not a bad idea. But keeping track of the uncoupled attachment in deep mud would be difficult. Not to mention actually coupling in that mud. It would waste a lot of time too. Isn’t any faster than just grabbing a mat. At least the mats will lay flat on top of the mud and not sink.
Him and Jerry did one hell of a job on that pond he called mud river or the like. The one Jerry scraped it all to the center and out a hole at the other end. That was something!
I do believe that given time to figure out the right plan, you would find a way to herd cats or squirrels.😉 This mud is a living nightmare.🤨 Kudos for your resolve Chris. 🤔Be well.😊
You have amazing foresight when designing a mess like that. So enjoy your videos with use of the mats moving all that mud. Great use of your time! God's blessings and stay safe.
Love that Super Mud Squeegee!! That goo looks better than most super expensive facial mud packs. Um, maybe there might be money in that black goo!!! LOL Ok, be healthy, stay safe and many blessings, Morgan PS, I'm still waiting for that rain over here in Colorado!!!
I hope the mud hasn't been getting up next to you. That remark about Dirt Perfect kinda made me wonder. LOL! I can imagine though, that it gets old pretty quick. Like all the trips to Birmingham, in Alabama when I was doing hospital transfers. That road got boring real fast. But all you can do is put your mind in neutral and just do it. There is a cattle farmer not to far from where I live, and I noticed one year he started to dump pond sediment completely over one of his pastures. I finally realized that he fertilizing his field. And it worked to. Have a blessed weekend.
Someone should invent an easy to set up mobile conveyer system so you could load alllllll the way back at the end and it would just transfer the mud to the truck :D
I'm sure you already know this, back in the day we had to haul some drilling mud from the reserve pits.they made a drier chemical that would solidify it .we done basically the same situation hauled ir away and farmers land farmed it.
Great mud moving video.😎 I was hoping to watch you walk on the mud I think everyone knows how much you like getting dirty. 🤣I hope you did not loss your boots in that mess.🙂
Hi from uk chris 👋👍 great bit of progress but slow and steady on this pond 👍 haul road doing well so far, just hope the expected rain doesnt wash to much and creat a problem for to fix but you'll have it in hand👌 and there wet mud and theres muddy water by the time material gets to the pit lol but good job as always magic man👌 thanks for your time and be safe see you soon👍👋
Hell Yeah !! Using the "Mat" is way ,way faster moving that mud back.. Like you said Chris, really the only thing slowing you down, is having to load the truck short every time. But, you guys got it moving a long pretty good now, just hope most of the rain water runs off before you get back to it ... So it ain't a freaking mess !! lolol... Kind of an understatement there huh ! " Freaking Mess" !! lolol... But, Great as always Chris, Have a Great Weekend and Evening Man !! and , On too the Next...
Another fine video Chris and you right when you fooling with that mud it seems like the more you touch it the bigger it gets so anyway brother you and John stay safe and keep the videos coming
You should make a quick attach scraper for your excavator because those matts will eventually fall apart. That’s definitely the quickest way to move tons of mud long distances.
It would be cool to have a truckload sized stand that you could load while the truck is in transit that could then just dump into the truck in an instant. That way the truck wouldn't have to wait while you load, it would just back under the stand, load, and go.
Hello, thanks for another fun video. I have a question for you if you choose to answer questions. You were out in deep mud on the 220 and John was at the bottom of the haul truck road loading with the 160. Well, how did you get from the 220 to the 160 without drowning in mud? We all know you're a special kind of operator but I don't think you can levitate yet.
Maybe AMI could build a steel framed mud squeegee for longer life span. Makes me chuckle when Chris has trouble finding matts that are in good condition.
Evening Chris, knowing nothing about nothing, is there a bigger toothless bucket you could rent or borrow?, I know that is a big bucket, but for moving that slop?. Great enjoyable video as always nice to see the Volvo Truck up and running and earning it's keep. Regards Richard 🇬🇧
