Jason Jones and the robots nice price! grats! pawn shops are dead in the states for any gear now, they scan ebay for everything nowdays :( i dove on the first that came up for 450$ which i guess isn't too far off after currency conversion :) the previous one sold for 200$ but was a while ago. nice find!
I have one I put back in it's box and haven't used it for several years. The effects controllers are quite fiddley I think. I might get it back out and play with it for awhile.
Hello. Thanks for the vid. Wanted to ask if you know how to load multiple samples at once from your computer onto the software and create a bank without having the keyboard connected. Is that possible? Appreciate the help. Rock on.
Fantom Aeronautics uses Microsampler. Do not be afraid of the Microsampler. It is a device that will make you think and learn, it will bring creativity but not on a plate.
Hey mate, I have a newer MacBook and the software (sound librarian) is too old to open. Any idea if there's an updated version or a third party program? thanks in advance!
Do you mind making a video showcasing the sample parameters? Especially the semitone adjust or time stretch. Thinking of getting one due to the ease of chopping samples. The only drawback I see using the micro is when triggering samples, they won’t cancel each other like an mpc or with choke groups. Thank you for the content!
@@gearfacts i see, no worries! I wish Korg would eventually release an MS2 with updated features like sd card memory haha. That would truly be a surprise.
Thanks, this was really helpful. One question: are you not able to choose the sampling type in the editor? I can't find it as an option anywhere, unless I'm missing something. When I transmit samples to the Microsampler, they seem to all be in "gate" mode, but I need some of them to be in "one shot" mode.
Great question and I wish I had an answer... but this Microsampler left the Gearfacts studio a couple of years ago. Do any other viewers seeing these comments have an answer for Greg? :) #gearfacts
@@gearfacts Actually, I think I figured it out. Well, a workaround, at least. If you turn the decay and release all the way up to 127, the sample plays in its entirety at full volume, as if it were in "one shot" mode. Thank you, though!
God Flow agree. but DO look at the teenage engineering PO-33 ....i actually ordered that also. it is amazing for a lot of real time jam tricks and streamlined essential sampling fun! the korg volca sample COULD have been the ultimate ultimate real time jam sampler but dealbreaker buzzkill fail ruined it.....the lack of ability to actually "sample"!! D: WTF! 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ mega fail with no sample input :( i was heartbroken for realz. if you cannot afford the microsampler, or cannot find one.....the PO i think is still currently second best. good luck! i hope u score a microsampler! 🙏🏼☺️❤️
thx... 2020 just ordered mine lol. was not impressed when this came out, ...was waiting for something as perfect as the asr-10, but just faster smaller and updated. but it STILL hasn't happened to this day! going back and appreciating this machine so much now! i hope the software runs on win10 lol
Gearfacts oh haha you did? it so funny i'm not kidding how many years i waiting for replacement for asr-10 hahaha. this has so many sacrifices but the essence is as close as it has come....lstill in 2020 even with octatrack and all that. ugh :( i'm sad you sold it too but they come up it seems from time to time. i was shocked to see ZERO in the states on reverb and ebay.,.,,,all feom japan. i am guessing they did not sell well here? or people really holding on to them that tight? anyway, was a good sign for me, and a few days later one popped up for a decent price. :) a few days more delay because of covid mail but yeah.....thanks for this vid!
